I find that anxiety during sleep is the result of undigested emotions. Like you've been avoiding it all day and suddenly you wake up at 3 AM and can't fall back asleep because you keep worrying. Personally I write when I have lots of emotions. Like I meditate about it and let my mind heal itself, but it takes time. I encourage myself to think about it instead of trying to shut down those thoughts which I found makes me more anxious. Ideally you would do that during the day not at 3AM.

I thought this was a video to help specifically combat anxiety about falling asleep, but they just keep talking about how incredibly vital sleep is, how detrimental it is to mental health. I already know everything about my sleep routine and hygiene, and have researched this all extensively. I follow basically all of this, and it doesn’t work. Biggest thing I got from this video is even more anxiety about falling asleep. Maybe change the title to something that isn’t misleading. Something for the people who struggle with sleep and haven’t looked into how to improve it yet.

My sleep anxiety is due to nursing school! Nursing school is not easy for me and it doesn’t help that my anxiety takes over me instead of being able to focus when I study. My problem is staying asleep I would fall asleep at like 10:30-11pm but then would wake up at 5am and it’s not enough, I’m still so tired and unable to focus when I need to study… it’s just a cycle of stressing!!
