One thing that I like is that I can log out in the middle of a loot scroll, and go back later to finish the time off. Some days I can grind for 4 to 6 hours (not often), others I log in and I'm just there for 20 or 30 minutes. I burned out doing the all day grind thing with in the first 8 months.

Biggest change of my enjoyment in bdo was when i stopped trying to do full hours of grinding regardless of what spot i was in. And these days its way more easier to have a tagged character for grinding that has all the active buffs running and a second char doing other stuff, so whenever i feel like im pushing myself to finish the grind, i just swap to my tagged char and go do afk stuff or whatever else i want. And like you said, sometimes it makes me grind even longer than 1 hour just because i might feel like it at that moment, other times i do 30 minutes and go chill . Same for the garden, i just go harvest crops when i got nothing else to do or when im getting close to the fences being removed.

BDO is slowly becoming my favorite MMORPG bc of exactly this. Instead of forcing progress through unhealthy play or mental approach, I just do what I find fun with goals in mind. It’s never about what I get done today or tomorrow. It’s about the goal and if it’s fun. One thing I also do is take breaks a lot and let events carry my goals. BDO is great about having events that periodically make your goals 500 times easier.

This game deserve more recognition, it's a really good game if you dont fall into the trap of feeling the need to force yourself to progress

How I got back into bdo after I got my pen awk bs in 7 tries, Pen bs mainhand one tap with j hammer and free 250fs. Quit for a while due to life commitments and came back again for dual J hammer. Bdo gave out free tet bs offhand and 2 tapped to pen. I guess there was no turning back here. Played more consistently and just recently 1 tapped pen debo neck with j accessory hammer using free fs and origins to stack. 0 fs built across these 3 last pens. What insane luck.

finally someone thinking like me while grinding , enjoy what you do, stop even if u have buffs up , eat drink who cares .. that what makes u keep going sometimes and makes it more enjoyable , being super efficient makes u burn out fast thats just facts unless you are Choice.

I've been playing the game off and on since 2019, my peak time grinding was when they released the infinite potion, i burnt myself out going for the 2nd piece, i put the game down for a while and came back when they added the pity pieces for the potion, finished that then worked on the mp potion, hit a wall with my progression cause i wanted the mp potion but i also wanted to desperately tap my BS, which lead to another burn out, queue godr-eye'd weapons and elvia serendia, sucking me back in for more time spent, but at a more casual when i wanted to pace, pulled my MH to tet, finished my FG chest and helm, (God i hate jade) then took another extended break, and returned at the start of this year, tapped my godr, finished my gloves, tapped my Awk BS to pen, got my 2nd jetina ring, end game crystals, purchased earrings, and a neck, all within a couple months, (the j hammer helped a lot in me purchasing my necklace.) now i'm taking it slow slow, i started working on building my carrack, which is something that i've engrossed myself in doing, cause i don't have to "play" the game to get it done, but it's still something to do and something that i can actively think about ways to go about it and strategize, so brain function is still there, and it's locked me in longer than running in circles has in a long time, and it's the most fun i've had with the game in a while, just cause it's a constant feeling of making progress towards something rather than grinding circles to buy outfits to fail an attempt.. massive wall of text of moot information, but it's something that i thought about while watching this, and doing things on the sea has definitely made my enjoy playing black desert again.

my biggest dissapointment or maybe turned off with BDO is the PVE system. Why the f they can't design a better PVE grinding other than circling in one spot for hours. Please do note i say grinding because I genuinely enjoy the combat, it just feels such a waste of potential to me that the best they could do pve wise with the combat is hitting a mob.

Actually, with 'newer' grind spots there were more challenging mechanics introduced which, if you master those mechanics, you could get a good amount of silver more than if you only 'casually' grind there. But yes, those spots are still way too rare and I'm waiting for a rewind of the old (low gear score) spots :) also, thanks for commenting. I just got home and got the next video in the pipeline already

What keeps me going ay bdo is that i really enjoy playing new games and nee game seasons. So i dont stick around too much grinding. I grind for a week or two while still having the itch to do more i bounce for another game and strictly do training/fishing in bdo in my absence.

Got all 3 in 32 tries. While there's ppl out there with 40+ on a single horse. It is fun if you got rng carried.

Basically get RNG-carried to have fun. While i sit on 42 FS on my FIRST T10. (i still dont have it) Yeah.

Losing crystals because PA has shit servers is not progress. Meanwhile they monetized crystal restores. Only three extras but still disgusting. I'll come back for the Gunner class.

so basically you decided grinding with gear goals is boring and toxic....but then if you...grind... for treasures...it's good? oh well..

Its not about having to grind, its about what your goal is. His goal is t10 horses, not 750 GS so he doesn't really care how much he grinds
