Hey guys! Thanks for tuning in to my premiere - I had lots of fun chatting with you guys and learning about what you study! :) To download the dark paper templates to GoodNotes 5: 1. Visit the link in the description box on your iPad and download the file. 2. Open GoodNotes 5 (don't open a notebook) and navigate to the settings in the top right hand corner. 3. Choose "Notebook Templates" and you will find an "Import" option on the screen. 4. Select your newly downloaded files and it should pop right in there!

My method of taking notes on my Goodnotes 5 is exactly identical to yours; I found it the most effective to learn stuff quickly and effectively

This is very helpful. I always use the default 0.4mm and yellow paper background. It feels somewhat awkward for me. I tried your recommendations, it feels just right!

I’ve been in this program called AVID from 10th-now (I’m a senior in highschool!! C/o 2020🎓!) and we HAD to have Cornell Notes for our “Binder Checks”. I may write my notes like this on my iPad in college, not sure but it definitely works amazingly!

Do more videos on how you actually take your notes. Like what it is you're writing down in that "normal" note column. Please do a video on how to do it in a classroom, normal and from a textbook xx

The bad thing about the dark paper is the lack of highlighters

Berna Aksoz Instead of highlighting use lighter colors, but use white all the time. If you need to write in different colors choose lighter colors but make sure they’re not too light.

Hi! I Will be studying medicine next year (hopefully) and I am looking for a good way to take notes. I really like the iPad/tablet with a pen. I was wondering if you take these notes on your iPad during class or after so you can really make it look neat?

Can dark paper be converted to print? How does it look?

Pencl notes automatically convert your note to dark or light depending on your settings on your iPad. It’s amazing in the day you can study on white paper and then easily convert it to dark paper at night. I find studying on dark paper at night is easier. And then if you want to print your notes you can easily switch it back to white paper check out the app.

Is your iPad big enough for note writing or would you recommend the 12.9 size for notes?

I have a question: Is it ok to change colors for each note you take? I use one color for each note so for one, I’ll do blue everything (blue highlighter for subheadings, blue pen for key terms) Then the next note I want to do orange. Or is it better to keep the same color code for all notes like you? Is my way effective? Thank you so much and have a nice day :)

Please dont buy paper like and if you really need some resistance when writing then just get a cheap matte protector. The new paper like v2 are also huge pile of shit and that for 35 bucks lol. I have tried them all and to be honest they all kinda suck because it will put a tiny grain on your screen and wear your pencil down faster. Now im just using a glass protector.

So that part Where you're writing on a zoomed in portion, how did you get the zoom window so large? When I use that tool all I get is a super tiny rectangle no matter how I orient the iPad. And when I resize it, it’s still small or won’t go any larger. I looked into it and it seems that when I use that tool in a digital planner I bought it’s small but in an original document made in GoodNotes it becomes a larger window to write in. I wonder if it’s related to how the documents are formatted huh...
