Hello, Thank you for watching. My centers are 15-20 minutes long. I have a total of 6 centers but I only rotate through 3 a day. I recently changed back to this routine because of time. I tried to do all 6 in one day but I felt rushed and although I would love to meet with every guided reading group each day I think 20 minute meaningful small group time is better than 10 minutes rushed. I do centers at the end of the day after all of my whole group instruction.

Hello, how often do you change the activities in the centers? Also, it was recommended to me to introduce two centers at a time. So should I have them practice rotating for a few days and then add actual activities but enough for each student to do? Last year was my first year teaching and I really want to stream line my system. I love the bear prop for the restroom! What kind of work do you give them that would require them to finish in centers? I struggled with making my students accountable during this time. Thank you for the video, it was very helpful!

Does it get chaotic at the turn in table? #3How do you make a child accountable if they put their work in the finished bin and they didn't finish it?
