Got the same problem. Seized tighter than a ducks ass....and that's fuckin' water tight!. Gonna' try this tomorrow.

Lots of severe rust. Good job breaking it lose. They must salt the roads up there.

I tried to get my tire off. recently I turned the crank and all it did was clicked. I figure it was cranked up too tight.. I got lucky and let the air out of the tire and it. came right down.. By decreasing the tire pressure it. Slightly loosened up the cable.. I was at home when this happened. I was rotating my tires.. If this would have happened on the highway, With a flat tire. , I would have been in trouble.
