I really appreciate the fact too, Spencer, that your videos are documentation as to the effort and conscientiousness that ensures the job being done is that of which you have promised. Your work ethic reminds me of a phrase that one of my teachers shared back in grade 10 in one of my business courses: "There is no substitute for quality" That, in my humble opinion, is your motto. Cheers! Darryl

Use a harness. It’s worth it. I used to be the same way, then oneday I found myself hanging from my fingertips 30’ in the air and always tied off after that.
Just wanted to drop in and say hello and great video bro
Hey mate, big props for what you are doing, I started a gutter cleaning business in australia from watching some of your videos and I got my first Job today! big thanks for the advice dude, hope you the best with your business! - I think the hardest part is finding customers, I have been going door to door and it seems to work. Any tips on gaining more?

How do customers end up paying? Like Venmo PayPal? Or through an LLC? Do you also make them sign a contract that you did the work so you have proof of it just in case someone doesn’t pay?
We need longer videos

What product do you use for the moss treatment?
What type of shoes would be good to wear when climbing and walking on roofs to avoid slips . I see some folks wear a special water boot
Think about doing this in Canada when I get there

What was that powder he was putting on at the end?
...what was the white powder you were scattering on the drudge lines?
You’ve inspired me to make my own Roof and Gutter cleaning business. I live in Alabama and I haven’t seen a lot of business around that offer what I’d be offering, it’s either just roofing or just gutter cleaning but not both and I plan on adding driveway pressure washing in the future to my business. Would you consider $300-400 a solid beginning price for cleaning someone’s roof and gutters? I’m sure I’ll get better at the pricing but I want people to see my price and see my results because I am a perfectionist and I want them to think (I’m getting a better deal with this guy than the other similar businesses). Also are you on a Single Member LLC? I just discovered that while looking at different options and got curious.

Yeah an Llc and I would test it out and see what people are willing to pay for. I’ve found that a cheaper beginning offer is good so then you can upsell but $3-400 is a good range to start, also a lot of folks definitely want a premium service so some are looking to spend $600 or even $800 and up
Hey! Do you cover the insurance side anywhere? I’m interested in starting but don’t know what sort of insurance I’d need.

I'd get general liability under your LLC. Should be generally cheap and cover up to 1m.

Is it better to tell customers Price and Tax? Like you mention in the video. Or just give them a round number. Then take out the taxes for your records.

I would not let anyone near my roof without a safety harness, proper work insurance, written guarantee and a much fairer rate of pay - which kinda strikes his bod out of the ball park

Dude you can’t brush roofs your setting all these people up for lawsuits and failure it’s not complicated but it’s not as simple as everyone thinks 1/5 house gutters are filled with roofing due to unexperienced people like yourself destroying roofs I’m a licensed bonded and insured contractor and over and over I go to a job where the roof was brushed and destroyed DO NOT BRUSH ROOFS and don’t remove moss unless taught by a professional
