Detailed description:
In this video, I explain how I programmed a Minecraft Mod long with several Python scripts that allow me to convert a 3D animation from Blender into a sequence of block structures or voxel structures that can then be imported and played back inside Minecraft to easily create Stop-motion animations like Jake Eyes does on his channel. This is just my solution, and might not be the best.

Finally a new video! And it's not related to 3D rendering this time, I hope you like it! Also, I finally fixed the reverb issues with my mic, so enjoy the better audio quality :D

I wasn't sold on the idea until I saw the water sim in Minecraft. Absolutely mind blowing, well done !
I like how the ball and the steve animation accidentally leaves a footprint in the world.
8:22 my guess would be, that the build limit was reached and the mod couldn't handle it.

I don’t know why but I was most impressed by the bouncing cube at the end
@NamePointer
2 жыл бұрын
I made it in a few minutes. It's just a rigidbody simulation in Blender with a high bounce factor. It doesn't even collide with the world, but with an invisible plane.

A bit late, but it seemed to interact with the world the most, making it very impressing. If the liquid interacted with the world instead of being in a container, it would definitely be the most impressive.
@sebastiangudino9377
Жыл бұрын
@@satgurs The cube very much did not interact with the world. That's simply not a feature of this process. The blender scene cannot interact with the Minecraft world. The cube is just bouncing on a plane

Glad I found this channel, this was absolutely awesome watching, can’t wait to see everything else you have been working on!
The video is great!!! Everything is so clear even if I don’t have the level to understand
Yaaay! You did it! You absolutely smashed it! Great job!
Absolutely amazing! Keep up the good work!
Every video you release is really inspiring for any programmer that cares about graphics or artificial intelligence. Everything is well explained and it simply makes sense. Keep up the good work. (Ever since I watched your ray tracing video I couldn’t wait to see the later releases :))
This is the best of the best when it comes to minecraft content. You are insane.
This is amazing! I've never seen anything like this in Minecraft. Good job!
Great Video, very professional. Didn't expect such a high quality Video from your reddit post
i have actually zero clue how animation works nor have i ever produced a single animation in my life, so your animation skills are better than most people's
@sebastiangudino9377

Most of them can be done in literally less than 10 clicks. Like the explosion, the fluid and the cube. Not saying he IS bad, is just that blender is pretty flipping good at physics. The Minecraft one does require more work, involving texture, rigging, manual key frames and a whole lot more
Wow, an amazing concept! Keep Going!!!
This deserves more attention! Great job!
Wow! Amazing, keep up the high quality of videos
It's always the engineers enabling the artists. Someone like Jake Eyes could USE this process as a part of his own workflow and probably make higher quantity and quality animations that still have a lot of character. Like in the VFX world or electronic music scene

Imagine if this was real-time. Map makers and servers could probably use it to implement fake physics for things like scripted terrain destruction and make some interesting stuff through that route I reckon.

"Sort of intresting" Man this is one of the coolested thing I ever seen!
this is so cool, great job my guy
First time watching one of your vids, this sounds really cool! Also about the animation thing, I’m right with you. I do 2D animation most of the time but my skills aren’t that good (I still post some better ones on my channel). Sometimes I like to draw out a 3D thing on flipaclip and then animate it as if it was 3d. Its harder but thats what makes it fun. Thanks for the vid :)
This is amazing, genius
YOOOOOO this was epic! very underrated u r def gonna blow up soon!!! Keep up the amazing work!

This would be insane for map making
this has intense worldbuilding capabilities, imagine an event in a mod or something with a huge temple coming out of the ground with an animation
This deserve some more views!
I really hope more people make minecraft stop motions
man, the fluid animation is cool
Woah that is really useful
This video needs more views!
Bro this needs wayyyyyyy more views
its funny that he said hes the only one in the world that can do it when its literally as easy as just putting a /clone command in a command block
It's an interesting and creative content than ever

I've inadvertently have done this before in my pixelmon map. The opening Takes you from the hub area to a trigger which you cant see then you ride into the start of the map on a boat.

Waiting for Steveee to upload this without any credit… Jokes aside, I loved this video some of those animations while not the greatest, looked very cool to see inside of Minecraft

JakeEyes: I'm the only one who can do this NamePointer: Ima boutta end this man's whole career
Some seriously impressive stuff you got there, you have a great skillset :) 4:50 go around straight lines in the edges of the triangulated mesh, should work fine if the mesh is dense enough compared to the voxel size.
@NamePointer
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you're right, but if you know the mesh is dense, why not just use the vertices because it's much faster. If you want it to work with low-poly, unsubdivided meshes you have to somehow get a bunch of points on the surface at regular intervals, and that sounds complicated.
@IchigoFurryModder
2 жыл бұрын
You can probably just do the edges between the vertices and do the same 3-way interpolation you use for getting the pixels in a rasterized triangle, just in 3d, and use those points.
@NamePointer
2 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, it could be a solution.

this is very cool
I made that same pack before but using the dominant color a while back
Very cool, the next step would be to import a bit of the minecraft world you're animating on so physics sims and stuff can interact with it.
Underrated
ur actually rlly good at animation lol
amazing

This is sicc! You should add the camera animation from blender to tge player position in minecraft.
