ABOUT THIS FILM

Gardening for wildlife
Over the eyars, I've planted wildflower meadows in patches and use them to link the different areas of my garden creating corridors for wildlife and giving me an absolutely beautiful garden to admire every year. I've planted them throughout and at this time of year, I gather the seeds ready to plant more wildflower areas next year.
Wildlife flower meadows are easy to care for
It really isn't difficult to plant a wildflower meadow and the rewards are incredible. Not only do these meadows look absolutely beautiful when in flower in the summer, but they bring so much wildlife into a garden. Birds, bees, and insects absolutely love it, and this year I even had a hare hide her young in a clump of wildflowers!
Inspiration for my art
Of course, the wildlife that visits my garden inevitably finds its way into a painting. But this wildflower meadow also provides beautiful backdrops for my artwork. Read more about the process here and see some of the paintings this meadow has inspired:

How I'd love to see plants like that on every verge and roundabout in this country. I've been in touch with my local council to see if I can sow some wildflower seeds into a verge of grass where a tree has recently fallen over. I was wondering, how often do you mow this patch of wildflower meadow, if at all? It looks glorious. I'm like you, I love to just watch all the different insects go about their day. I find that nothing is as relaxing then sitting out in the garden watching the wildlife, I'm glad I've stumbled across your channel today.

I am just adore all the wild life my wild flower garden has attracted here in the US. I love watching the plants and wild life working together feeding one another. I wish humans appreciated nature, and work with it. When you give to nature, it gives back to you in so many amazing ways.

BRILLIANT!!👍😃🦋Thanks for sharing, Robert!! I filled a hard plastic baby pool with water, added aquatic plants, a few Rosie Reds, some small and medium rocks, a medium size branch, and in a very short time a lovely bullfrog took up residence, as well as loads of dragonflies, and other insects. The birds stop in for a refreshing drink of water as well. It's a wonderful addition to the backyard! 😃 Always something new to see!Just LOVE God's creation!
