This was really helpful. One of my issues with installing braids/twists is that sometimes it looks bulky. I was never really into parting my hair strategically cause I always went with the “messy look” but sometimes it looked waaay too bulky.

Happy to help! When considering bulk remember not only the parts but more important than that would be the size of the loc, twist, or braid. Try and be mindful of how much hair you’re using for each one. Hope this makes sense💙

So with the curls it looks like you didn’t actually start putting them in the locs until like the 5th row am I right ? Prior to that it was just on the ends ?

I put them thru out the locs in the back as well some of them fell out at the top because I used a different method in the back for the curls and there’s more curls at the bottom you just may not be able to see them well here.

What lengths did you use queen?

Thank you so much! I wouldn’t say they tangle. They actually maintain fine I don’t do anything to them but spray a little water here and there to bring back the curls but I barely do that honestly. They’re low maintenance for sure in my opinion💙

Yes, where ever you want the loc to stop choose it but keep in mind the human hair you add in at the end will also add length
