The toxic part of me is telling me that this is easy and that I can do it too. Then, there's my wallet, telling me I don't have the money for it. These are so cute!!! I love the color palette. Great job!! Update: I bought the supplies. Time to get humbled 2nd update: Enjoyed the molding/sculpting and did pretty decent but painting kicked my butt. Just like every new hobby, there's a learning curve. Try it!

Same! I wanna turn some of my old art into clay magnets but then I’d have to buy materials. Haha. Gotta stick to digital for now. I need to buy everything as I don’t have any of the tools, not even a self-healing cutting mat and an exacto knife (I have a scalpel, though 😂). 😅

Because I haven't seen anyone else say it, be careful with UV Resin because it is toxic! Be sure to wear gloves and also make sure you have lots of ventilation, or if possible use a respirator. These magnets are super cute! And the resin finish turned out so nice :3

Put a lighter/mini torch on the UV resin before curing it but after letting it rest for a bit. that’ll get rid of the bubbles.

I am Japanese. Thank you for making the Japanese sweets “chocobi”! It’s so cute! 😊One thing that bothers me is that there is a flaw in the katakana character chocobi. Correctly「チョコビ」 「ヒ」If there are no two dots above it, it will be read as "chocohi". On the package, it looks like there is a star above "chocohi", but that is also a Japanese word called dakuten.

@@MillyItsEmily Hi! Hardened air dry clay will eventually soften when it comes in constant contact with water/moisture. It is best to seal hardened air dry clay to prolong its life and usage. It is entirely up to you to decide whether you want to seal them with varnish/resin or not though. It also depends on the function of the air dry clay piece. Being my paranoid self, I would varnish all my pieces. 😬

the heat given off during the curing process lowers the boiling point of the VOC's causing them to give off toxic fumes and vapours so when you breathe in the fumes of resin, it could really irritate your lungs.@@Aleezey

You definitely can! 👍🏾 I have used it alongside resin as well and it works great, however it’s quite thick so sometimes the paint streaks are still visible. I’ve also seen some people use acrylic gouache which I think you can thin out with water to help with the streaks. I’m no expert though (on acrylic gouache) so make sure to check out some other tutorials.

You could realistically use any kind of varnish. Resin tends to be hardier in terms of scratches and cracking, plus it doesn’t leech colour and cures relatively quickly. But a spray varnish or even nail top coats could work.
