Hey loves! So, in this week’s video, I’m showcasing my current weekly hair routine. It’s a look at the little things I do to help maintain my curls as I go through each day, and against my sweat while working out. I’ll admit, this year since I began working out more has been tough on my hair, especially as a content creator. I, unfortunately, cannot keep my hair in braids for long periods of time due to partnerships and whatnot, so I have to maintain it while out and exercising. I recently found a gel that gives me a long-lasting hold and definition, so I’ve worked it into my routine. I hope you enjoy!

I know this video is a year old. It's MY first time seeing it and I have a question. As you face us, your RIGHT side seemed to experience more 'SHRINKAGE' than your left (or POOPNESS 😇. ) Was that 'Product Application' or differences in 'Texture' on that side of your head? Should we be careful about EQUAL applications of products or is it just GENES?

I have a section that does that wavy/straightish/curl at the end too. I figured out I have to finger coil small sections within that section, it takes a lil longer but works.

Omggg! You are just about the closest representation of my natural hair I’ve seen ever!! Even down to the right front side of my hair that’s just a looser wave that won’t spiral like the rest !! I have been debating just going back to straight hair (straight natural or maybe even relaxer) due to the frustration of not knowing how to blend ! I’ve never thought to tuck it behind the ear when it’s curly but I always do that when it’s straight ! I think I’m gonna give it a try ! Tfs!!!

Hi just want to say I love your videos. Just a tip I’ve been trying lately is putting my leave in… in the shower after rinsing out the DC. Put it back in the sections like u do & put a plastic on & let sit for 30 min b 4 u continue styling. Makes a huge difference in the feel & how your gel will feel in your hair. Hope this works for u if u try it 😊 sorry plastic shower cap.

Thank you for making this video.. I struggle all the time with what to do with my hair after my workouts bc I sweat so much in my hair and it gets super dry. It’s a constant struggle but this is helpful.

Hi Aisha! Thanks for this video! I too work out and the working out with my natural hair can be exhausting! I've tried different schedules and working out every other day...I'll twist my hair at night and only work out in the evenings- I've tried to think of every option! I will definitely take your recommendations and try this gel wash n go. Who wants to put fitness on hold to maintain a natural hair look? Not me! and I don't want to resort to braids all the time and definitely not wigs or weaves. You look wonderful! Please keep the videos coming! Blessings to you and your family❤

Omg tell me about it!! I really enjoy working out these days, so I’ve had to find a solution. That scrunchie and letting my roots dry right after so they don’t matte has been key. I hope this helps you too!

That’s so interesting I find working out with natural hair easier than it being in a wig. What I do is wash days on Wednesdays. I work out Monday, Tuesday and Fridays. So my hair only gets 1 day of a workout but still will look good Thurs-Sun. And I try to not overly sweat during working out by doing Low intensity workouts and staying by a fan to keep my roots dry.

First of all miss seeing your videos! Glad to see you back doing a hair video. Your hair is still so beautiful! But just wanted to know have you ever tried the no oils and butters by black girl curl. I have been doing their hair routine for about 9 months and never going back to oils and butters. Only reason I am asking because you said you want to keep your hair moisturizer. I also wear wash and go, work out 4-5 times a week and hair hold up very very well for a week!😊

I’ve been using the same leave ins, Kinky Curly Knot Today, then Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls, then the Wetline Extreme Gel. I’ve never used oil. Need to try that

I'm pretty shure that if you wear an oil before the gel, you can gain more volume during day one, but I guess it means a little less hold.

Glad I’m not the only one with that one straight piece of hair in the front that won’t curl for 💩! I end up flat-twisting it and pinning it down with a bobby-pin!

That's the only gel I use and I am able to wet it days later and reactivate my curls and they look fresh. Day one is not my favorite either bc it is so defining.
