Patti, you are simply the best, so beautiful inside and out! I'm 62 and have been struggling with thoughts of my face changing. I refuse to do Botox, but have been planning for years to have cosmetic surgery when the time comes. Well, time is closing in, but I sure would like to reach a point where I'm happy with my face just the way it is. As it is, i do lots of facials and probably own every home beauty device on the market...lol. Your video was so awesome and prompted me to really stop and think things over. I've struggled with my weight all my adult life (emotional eater), so I've always made sure my face, hair, and fashion sense were spot on perfection. I love being a glam girl, but it's getting a bit challenging to keep it up. Grrr! I'm going to think long and hard about what you said. Love your channel and your beautiful spirit, AND btw, you look no where near your age!!! 💋🤗😘.

Omg.....this is the best video that I have seen on you tube and I have watched thousands over the years. I am 66 and I have been struggling for the last two years with health issues that have changed the way that I look and feel but.....I always put my make up on and do my hair when I walk out that door. You are soooooo beautiful and your attitude makes you even prettier. I watch one channel where the woman is 52 and constantly correcting with fillers, Botox, surgery, whatever and I always thought that it was the wrong message to send women. God Bless you for sending a loving caring and accepting message. I will have better days from this point because of you. Thank you a thousand times for this message......God sent this to me and you talked right to my heart. I love you and may your days be filled with joy and good health. ❤️😘🙏

Hi Denise and Connie , I'm so happy to see some women like Patti and y'all ! I have always felt like Patti does...just age with as much grace as possible , as Patti said , " some of us don't get the chance " ! I lost a daughter when she was in her late thirties , she left 4 children, teens. Thought I could'nt go on but God showed me differently ! I'm 74 , I have COPD which curtails my activities ! Been on and off steroids quite a bit the last couple years..gained a lot of weight ! But ladies , Patti's right , it's a choice , daily ! And I think we can all hold each other up by confirming we are worth it ! I hope we can all become fast friends ! Have a great day.., gonna write Patti a note to thank her for confirming how I've always felt about agig !💖💖💖💖

I am 67 years old. At 59 I started to freak out about turning 60. From 60 to 65 I agonized about the whole aging process. My body, my face, thinning hair. I would try to be grateful and appreciative but my thoughts about myself were saying something else. I finally decided to see the good and stop the negativity. Today is the youngest I will ever be. God made us this way for a reason and I have decided to trust him instead of vanity.

This is such a heartfelt video. I'm 69 years old and I also embrace my age. I'm proud of who I am at any age. I have so much to be greatful for. I could repair things on my body but that will not turn the clock. We have the right to choose and make our own personal choices. But for me Patti....its like putting a band-aid on it but the booboo is still there. So I just embrace it and love it. I eat low carb, count calories, meal plan, keep a food journal, I stretch, dance and I use my fitbit for the last six years and it challenges me and I love it. I love nature and I will always make the most of my life...until I take my last breath. Thank you Patti, for this beautiful heartfelt video.💚💚💚xxx

You're a wise woman,Patty! I'm a 73 year old female who always had a fantastic body, but through my 40s, I really had to work on keeping it that way. I noticed a little weight gain in my early 60s, but didn't worry about it too much. I still looked pretty good and felt very healthy. When I retired at 70 from a pretty physical job, I spent my mornings still being active around the house, but my afternoons were spent watching TV or using the laptop. Now,my body has all of the same problems that my Mother had. I'm accepting it too. The struggle is now over, and I'm going to relax into my old age. Life is too short

  • @jorgieg1
    @jorgieg14 жыл бұрын

Patti.... Thank you for the very wise message this afternoon... you are spot ON!!! And let me just add that you’re both beautiful inside as well as outside!! I believe that if we accept our naturally aging body, and take care of it, and at the same time... STOP paying so much attention to the bevi of younger women’s beauty, plastered all over, wherever we look, that we can learn to appreciate ourselves in a whole new way. Being thankful for the face and body that has served us so well, throughout a long life!! And enjoying each day being happy and grateful in our own skin, for however long we may have left! I’m going to be 72 in December... and my mindset clearly has evolved over these last 5 years or so... the aging process does seem to speed up. But I’m now with it! Like you, I’m going au natural... no cosmetic procedures. Just drugstore skin cremes, and some make up. It seems like once we finally surrender the attempts of looking youthful... it is then replaced with contentment and the ability to focus on things that were really more important all along. That’s my “take away” ❤️

What a wonderful video, look at you your stunning and glamorous 😘 I love your style.. thank you for your voice and words of encouragement I been needing this lately. I’m 57 years old and I am starting to see small changes and makes me sad. I am such a girly girl I love my nails done and get my hair done to cover Grey.. , I love to find cute clothes but I have that pouch tummy yuck.. some things don’t look so cute on me anymore and I get disappointed..I think my mind is younger then I am if that makes sense. I was always pretty fit kickboxing was my thing and Zumba, now since back surgery in July this year I gained 15 lbs that won’t move and surgeon said NO more kickboxing or Zumba only low impact... So now I ride my stationary bike everyday and do what I can around the house doctor says listen to your body.. also going through menopause.. I’m a single mom of 3 my daughter is 39 I have 3 grandchildren and my sons are 20 and he has asburgers and my baby is 15 and they are still at home.. . I don’t eat beef or pork of any kind just organic chicken, turkey and fish but love my sweets too but I don’t over do.. I don’t have older sisters to relate to and my mom disowned all of her 6 kids so I need to figure it out on my own.. Patti I been following you for 2 years and I’m soo grateful for you!! 😘💖🌸 I look up To you as a role model, thank you! 😘🌸. Alexandria,

Alexandria Cosentino Hi, that’s great that you are continuing to take care of yourself and working out. Let me tell you something, add weight training!! Seriously, it works! I was only doing all different kinds of cardio and I lost “weight”, but was only a smaller version of my former shape. But as soon as I started with weights, it reshaped my figure. Don’t go by the number on the scale, no, no, no, because muscle weighs more than fat! Just make sure you educate yourself about proper form!! You have had surgery so be careful, please! Take care and good luck 😉. Oh! It does take a little time. It took four months for me to start noticing real changes.

I turned 52 last month and I feel the same way. It's getting so hard to keep up with just trying to look decent. I have been avoiding the mirror more and more. Good Morning, Patti. Good conversation. Would you believe I have never had a long mirror in any house I have lived in. Our Miami Beach home already had one on the back of one of the bedroom doors that I never see because the door is always left open. When I was younger I had a rounded figure when Twiggy was popular, so I always felt fat, but in reality never was. During my 3 pregnancies I gained 40 lbs that I would lose. Menopause added 30, but that went away quickly because I was put on Prempro ( which now they know wasn’t good). As you know I’m in my eighth decade and at 5’7” I fluctuate from 142 to 138, the same weight as when I was 40. Genetics. I’ve been a pescatarian for over 40 years, but I attribute everything to exercise, healthy living and mainly genetics. I am aging like my mother. Nothing will stop aging. Not even facelifts. Our skin loses elasticity no matter whether it has been lifted, filled or Botoxed. Aging is a natural progression. To me, what is inside matters more. We all can be beautiful no matter our age because what is inside radiates outwardly. Love who you are right here, right now. I believe that is what you do, Patti. ❤️. Sandra

I’m learning to make peace with aging also. I don’t care THAT MUCH about my body . I weigh 147 which is the most I’ve ever weighed. It’s my own fault totally bc I retired just 1 1/2 years ago so I have been more sedentary. I’ve gained 10 lbs in one year. Not good so I really have to change it up. I have hollows in my face do I would like to get fillers in my cheeks. Hollowness in my undereyes also. I hate this about my face so I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to do. I am taking collagen powder everyday. So I’ll see if that is going to work at all. Nuff said for now. Thx for this vid. Always great to know we are not alone.

I had aged 10 years in one night. LOL. Hormone loss and weight loss took their toll. So accept what you can't change and fight like hell for the rest. Thank you for this. Just wonderful.

Wonderful, pertinent content Patty - thank you! I am in my mid-60s. My decision is to care for my aging body without trying to stop or alter it. I am embracing the gray hair because it is the perfect match for my changing tone in complexion. I have stopped watching other beauty influencers who have altered their appearance by having procedures done. They are all lovely ladies, but now my focus has changed. I can no longer relate to them. Please continue to motivate and inspire us.i still have my pampering routines, but now I am choosing to feel better about myself by putting my time and effort into the people and community around me. I just turned 76 too. I can relate to everything you are talking about. I have my mothers body now too. But hey it’s just a part of aging so I’ve just accepted it. The one big flaw I have now since my husband of 57 years just passed away is I don’t do as much as I used to. Very sedentary and that’s not healthy I know. I can’t get motivated to get out and do things. I pray that I will get better and not be a hermit. Thank you for this video.

Janet Abrams same here. Am 72 and lost my husband 17 months ago - still can’t get motivated to even cook. My eyesight is going so can’t even drive anymore. Worst time to lose our husbands - when we are old and saggy. They are the only ones who remember us as young and lovely, and still saw us as we once were. Now we are just sexless old women.

I truly appreciate your sharing your experience and your wisdom. I, too, felt like aging hit me in my mid-60s. After caring for my husband before he died of cancer, retiring and moving away from my former life and house, caring for my mother as she died of cancer, and then experiencing my own health problems, I feel the enormous changes in myself and my perspective. I agree that acceptance of our true selves and caring for and respecting our true beauty is the key to aging gracefully. Thank you. You have been a blessing to me today. ❤️🌹🙏🏼

I just turned 61 this year. It gets harder as we get older. I applaud you for taking the natural route. You've decided to DO YOU. I eat right, walk a lot, dress appropriate for my age, and use good skincare. I think what's most important is not to compare myself to women my age. We're all different. Have a good day!

Well said Patti, accepting the changes age brings is a learning curve in itself..It is a time in our life to find that quiet inner calm, we are more than an ageing body, our soul should reflect the lessons learnt in our 70 + years on earth...I appreciate each day given to me and take nothing for granted... But like you I still love painting my face and adorning my body with pretty things...Your message is an important one and thank you for imparting it. XxKate xx

Patti there are just no words for me to express what your videos have done for me especially this one. At 70 I was still struggling with such poor body image. I still wear makeup, eat well and take care of my body but regardless of what I was doing I was still getting crepey skin on my arms and legs cellulite on my thighs and a round belly. It occurred to me that that's how my grandma was, my mother is (at 90 bless her heart) and so that's how I look. A lot is hereditary and nothing will change that. You always make so much sense and finally I'm getting it. This weekend I went my nieces wedding. I had my hair done put on my makeup and gown and felt great. For the first time I didn't feel like an OLD woman but a wise sophisticated OLDER woman. No I didn't look anything like the younger women but I felt like the best version of me. Now I just watched your video and it finally hit me. This is my look now. Like you I won't do surgery fillers or Botox. There is no turning back the hands of time so instead of wasting the rest of my life hoping for impossible changes I might just as well roll with this aging thing. Thank you for every single video you make. You keep me striving to be the best I can be at any age. Love and big big hugs, Susie 😘😘

You seem to me such a kind, loving person with a wonderful attitude toward life. You have a very youthful vibe. Your beautiful smile. I would rather have a beautiful smile then the most expensive face lift. I agree that once you hit 65 everything starts to really change. Great advice, "listen to your body". And know your body also. Patti! This video made me cry! Cry in buckets! March 1, I was rushed to the hospital. I was there until March 31. I was out of it. In enormous pain. No sense of taste or smell. A whopper of a headache. I could not walk well. My hands felt icy cold, broken and I could not hold anything or write my name. I am 73. But in those 31 days I had become disabled and aged at an incredible rate. In April, my hair was falling out in clumps. I had COVID-19 according to the antibody test taken in May. Shocking. Frightening. I am still recovering! Today you gave me the sweetest and most powerful gift. You told me to be patient and kind to myself. I have always (well almost) been patient and kind to all people. Everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you. ❤️ Suzy
