How I made my drill battery powered bluetooth speaker
These bluetooth modules are pretty cheap. I bought mine on eBay for like $15. Regretfully, the range leaves a little to be desired. I show how I soldered a wire to the antenna to increase the range. We've used this speaker for almost 6 months now, and it's been working wonderfully.

Funny I just made a BT speaker using nearly the same speaker/drivers. Didn't know I was 4 year late. 😆
I had this idea yesterday to build a bluetooth speaker and power it up with a drill battery. Sure enough you and some other already did it. Good idea to use an old bookshelf speaker. So no work needed to build the speaker cabinet and these old school speakers are dirt cheap. Great job. Thums up. A question. Isnt this a stereo amplifier but u hooked up only one speaker. So are you missing a whole channel of sound or have you bridged it somehow. One suggestion. You could have bought a whole charger and mount it on the box. Then you could have snapped the battery right into it. That could have saved lot of time of battery mount building. Again thanks for putting up a great idea.
Good job 👏👍
How many hours last the battery...???
If it is a stereo board you need to make sure to hook the left positive and right positive as well as the negatives up to the one speaker otherwise stuff that is on the other side opposite of the one you haven't hooked to you will not hear don't try to listen to any Beatles stereo mixes or any other hard left and hard right music.

How many volts is the battery ? Did you have to use a step down converter? Most drills are more then 12 volts .I have a 40 volt drill .how would one step it down to power the amp
Nice.
how long you can play it?
any issues or upgrades you did with this setup?

The plastic handle connector came off after attaching it to a wakeboard tower. I fixed it by adding a thick washer so the hole in the plastic wouldn't allow the screw to slip out.
AAAHHHH I thought you were gonna use the ego battery with that for a second. That woulda been something lol. So… 3 years later, does it still work or did the battery or speaker burn out from some electrical mismatch? I noticed it hits a higher pitch note when pluggin in the battery vs the wall.
