I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the support 💕
enjoyed the video, I remember when I did a tour of Missouri at Pearl Harbour and those bunks were originally stacked five instead of three, you would have to get out to change position

I had put a milk crate on top of the locker next to my bunk (Velcro to keep it from moving) for extra storage. It was great so me. Just an idea :)

Girl a MILK CRATE hahaha how did you get away with that 😂😂
Thanks for giving us a short tour and I hope you had fun training with the NATO allies. I believe your ship is back to Halifax. I am a Marine Engineer and will be going on HMCS Regina in October or November. Who knows, maybe one day we will see each other on the base or be posted to the same ship.

Np!
Can't believe most of the passageways are still using vinyl tile decks. Ships on the west coast got rid of that over 20 years ago and went with the seemless decking.

Haha I was gonna say that deck covering looked familiar it was the same stuff we had on the steamers back in the mid 80's before the Halifax class was laid down.
Thank you very much for your videos. I want to join the Royal Navy ❤

Thanks you get to see beautiful places in the navy
thanks for the upload, cool to see as I might be on one. I am scheduled next month for a medical interview and also semi formal interview on the three possible job choices I have selected. It looks as though they are most interested in me as a Naval Communicator. Anyways if you are deployed for 6 months how long are you at sea compared to land, and my next steps is competition lists in the application, I dont want to be to overly ambitious, is this a hard stage of acceptance

That’s great! When you deploy it depends on the operation and what’s going on at the time but my last deployment we were in port every 4 days visited 12 country. Never to ambitious whatever you wanna do work hard and don’t give up it will always be worth it. Nothing is really hard you just have to be patient and not let anyone discourage you.

@@LivingWithLove thanks! Well I the last CAF email I received said I am being processed for a naval communicator and will also be interviewed for x and y, so looks like will be smooth sailing for me now haha. Cheers Merry Christmas:)

Do you still service in the navy? How often do you get deploy to places in Asia and how bad are the waves or is better on fridgates?
@LivingWithLove

I am still in the navy currently on mat leave… there’s at least one boat that deploys every 6 months and if your in the east coast you deploy in the meds and if your in the west coast you deploy to Asia. The wave are not that bad you definitely need to get your sea legs thought so I’m usually good after the first day or two but gravel helps a lot lol
How does the pay work can you explain how much you got paid from basic training to now how much did they pay you the very first time you joined etc etc

www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/benefits-military/pay-pension-benefits/pay.html This website tell you the pay for ncm and officers pay every year you get a raised until you max out at your rank.

I'm looking to join the navy whats your opinion on it
@LivingWithLove
2 жыл бұрын
I have lots of opinion on that lol but I always encourage people to do an initial contract of 4 years and then decide if it’s for them or not. The Navy is a totally different culture and I think people need to be mentally strong to stay for 25 years.
I am surprised your CO allowed you to do video of you on the ship. I was even more surprised with PJ's as boxers and an under shirt are easier to get dressed in a rush.
