How I Live In My Car Without ANYONE Knowing (Montréal, Canada Edition)

Ойын-сауық

My name is Arslan and I’ve been living in vehicles for the past few years. My journey of alternative living began after I was fed up with the high cost of rent in the United States. I fell in love with the idea of living on the road, so over the years, I converted a sprinter van, a Camaro and most recently been living in my 2014 chevy suburban camper car. I enjoy making KZread videos and recording my different experiences to share with you guys. I’m also a nurse half days of the week because I have a significant passion for helping people.
In This video: I show you how I Live In Montreal, Canada, While trying out some of their famous foods, such as poutine and their own candy
KZread Posting Schedule: I usually post on Saturdays 9am EST (NY time). I'm currently posting 1 video every 2 weeks but I'm working towards posting 1 video a week.
I love reading your comments and wish I could reply to all of you but my schedule doesn't allow. But I always reply to SUPER CHATS because they pop up on my phone!
P.S. If I need to tell you guys something, I will comment and pin it on my latest video.

If you have no point of reference on hoe to make a great poutine, you can always go to the restaurant La Banquise. They serves probably the best authentic poutine in town. When you eat the cheese, it will make a squeek sound. Happy meal!

I live just west of Ottawa and love it. Grew up in farm country in Southwestern Ont, then lived in Kitchener for 10yr but couldn’t be happier I moved to Ottawa Valley. I liked KW but I’m also loving being near the capital. There’s so much more to see and do here and I love the rocky landscape and more northern feel.

You can find cheese curds everywhere here, they’re on the counter of our dépanneurs (corner store). Also, it’s Mount Royal in English. Hope you’re having fun here. You picked a good week. I had a kindergarten teacher like that in Western North carolina! In like 1966 😅 her daughter worked for TWA so she got free tickets to go all over the world, and she would make us ask for more milk and things during snack time in French! I wound up taking a couple years of French and alnost 6 years of Spanish, partly bc of her. Everyone loved her in our town 😊❤ Also your story reminds me of a restaurant we used to have where I live, with older ladies who probably used to be school lunch ladies like some of my great aunts. At this restaurant, they would fuss at you if you didn't clean your plate! You could see the women cooking openly behind the counter, and the waitresses would say 'Miss so-and-so over there doesn't like it that you're not going to clean your plate. Bc she cooked that for you like you asked her to! You better eat all that! 😂

Smarties, Aero and Bounty have been around since at least the 1980’s. I used to eat them as a kid in Germany. Which is probably why you ate them in the Middle East as well. Generally, German sweets have 1/3 less sugar than American sweets. And I totally agree with you, Americans seem to think the sweeter the better. Which is why I don’t eat sweets anymore at all. Love Bounty, one of my favorites. If you can find Milka or Ritter Sport or Kinder or Lindt - those are great brands from Europe. P.S. that Aero, you have to let it melt in your mouth between tongue and gum, that’s when you feel the air bubbles pop.

Quebec makes some of the best cheese curds locally. You can find them in most gas stations in the fridge section, try some out next time you're there.

Hi from Montreal, I hope you went to the Belvédère Kondiaronk for the view. Gouda or mozzarella for poutine is blasphemy, go find cheese curds available in any supermarket if you want to make poutine 😊. Careful, it's addictive! Best place to eat out poutine is "la banquise" and it's not that far from Mont Royal. Second great place to eat out is Schwartz's Deli, for the smoked meat sandwich. When do you plan to leave?

@@christine9604friscoany! Cheese curd is a unique type of cheese. Only comes in one type of flavour/texture. It’s hard to find outside of eastern Canada. Vermont might have some too. You’d have to check. Hope this helps! ✌️

Just a suggestion - where your kitchen wall is you sould mount some sort of sliding black cloth privacy certain that separates the driver area from the back cab area. I seen other Solo Campers do this and i think your Truck would benefit from that Arslan. Cheers matey
