One year passed did you guys learn something?

Your pronunciation is quite something. I would have thought you were a native speaker. I wasn't raised bilingual exactly but I learned English because I loved English media so much (which wasn't available in Spanish in my country, Mexico). So you could say I raised myself as a bilingual. Your story is fascinating. Sadly, I don't speak Turkish yet so having more of these videos in English would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Başka dilleri öğrenmeye bu kadar yatkın olsaydım , Allah’ın CC kelamı olan Kuranı Kerimi anlamak için Arapça öğrenmeyi çok isterdim.

@@ayseuguz3092 Ben dilleri tamamıyla öğrenmeye o kadar yatkın olmasam da alfabe öğrenmeye ve dilleri taklit etmeye bayağı bir yatkınım ve Allah’ın kelamı için değil de (çünkü dinsizim) müzik kültürü için bolca Mısır diyalektinde telaffuz çalıştım ve alfabeyi iyice öğrendim, şimdi gramer ve vocab kaldı, en üşendirici aşamaya geldim :/ Umarım bir gün öğreniriz… Bu arada Arapça yüzeysel kelimeler ve gramer detayları öğrenmek Türk edebiyatını anlamak için de çok faydalı oluyor

Can you make English videos much more, because your accent is supercool and when I was watching you I try to catch nuances of words.

Just wow! I thought you grew up in America. You have a very good English without accents. Your German is naturally without an accent, but how is your Turkish so good? Although you were born in Germany, you speak better than many people born and raised in Turkey.

Speaking English with an American accent does not mean that you speak English without an accent. It means you speak American English and sound like an American.

You nailed it when you said we need to think in the language we're speaking and not try to translate on the go. I'm learning Turkish and I can't wait to be able to think in that language. Language is the tool we use to describe the world around us thus defining culture.

The best part of your story was at the end when you say you moved to Turkey! Everyone wants to move to Turkey. Having lived there and then visited there many many times, it makes sense.

I LOVE this language, so, so much and it makes perfect sense to me in the language structure. I took a class online in Turkish once and the teacher said that he thought that I must have been Turkish in my previous life. 🤣ROFL. He said that I seemed to have a natural aptitude for the language. I immersed myself to the language and focused to the language that I'm learning..I have tried so many lessons and tips coming from different youtuber and one of the example of it is writing my thoughts by journaling even though it is very hard.

I watched some of your other videos before this one. I am glad you explained how you learned English because I could not figure out how you sounded as if you learned American English rather than British English. This video explains it. I am attempting to learn Spanish and agree with you about the cultural aspects of language. Some of the language apps are great for vocabulary and some grammar, but watching television gives a bit more of an idea of how the language is used every day. I am not sure I will ever be fluent, but thanks for supporting what took me quite a while to figure out. I'm going to watch more of your videos for more ideas. If you wonder how I found your Turkish video, I tried watching Hercai in Spanish. I finally figured out I was in dizi land and not telenovela land by some of the language. I loved dizis so much that I started watching them in Turkish with English subtitles.

I love your accent. It's so american. So as mine. I used to learn english the same way, by listening to the songs and writing them down. I've graduated from english exactly 20 years ago, but I don't have the opportunity to use it in my every day life so over the time I forgot many words, even the simple ones. But instead I speak spanish with my sister- in- law (I don't know the grammar but I don't fear to speak) and I love turkish. I understand almost everything but have no one to talk to☹🤷‍♀️ Love all the job you do❤

As a native American English speaker and multilinguist myself, your English is amazing. The only non-native mistake you made has to do with your recount of your trip to London. We wouldn't normally say, "I've been to London" in the context of telling a story. "I've been to London" is more natural as a response to a question. Such as, "Have you been to London?" This is one of those tricky verb conjugations that probably lingers from French's influence on English. We'd say, "I went to London for a day back in 2016"...saying it this way sounds more natural. Notice the use of the verb, "I went..."

So impressive, no accent. I definitely thought you were a native. I grew up in Canada, Turkish background (English/Turkish native speaker)… and here I am, at 28 trying to learn German (bc I moved to CH). It’s definitely a challenge. I’m at the point of giving up. It’s so impressive seeing that you self-taught yourself foreign languages
