Nice, VERY clean and professional installation. I have a „bag“ attached where i can also fit a small, fan cooled 600W buck/boost converter and 2 tool batteries (18V, 6Ah). The scooter can even charge during driving and helps the scooters battery a bit under constant high load uphill lets say. I can charge those tool batteries all 4 at once, each with 200W so 800W, and can use 2 batteries in parallel for the scooter to charge on the go. Typically if i want maximum range the scooter carries 2 tool batteries (each about 100Wh) and in my backpack up to 4, adding about 600Wh to the already 600Wh battery. I also mainly stick with 2A constant current as with the original power brick of the scooter to reduce stress on the tool batteries and for more efficiency in total at the voltage upstep from 18V to about 55V. About 10-25km are possible without my „range extender“, with all 6 tool batteries its at absolute least 20km, more like 35-40 realistically under most circumstances. The best part is still the fast charging so i dont have to wait for my scooter to charge for 6-7 hours at least, also i can avoid draining the scooters battery too much when i just need the range. Just today i could not wait for the scooter to charge enough so the external batteries did its job on the go, additionally i gave the last juice at 4,5 Amps to a scooter driver i met with an empty battery on the way which was awesome. And i have not given once yet 200-250W of juice to people stranded with a empty battery as long they have GX16 port.

@@jaysonulanday no, if you have the possibility to extend the range properly by adding a battery as you did its ok, my solution is just a workaround to make use of rarely used tool batteries and extend the already older scooters battery runtime. It looks sketchy to be honest… zip ties etc, but also fast removable since i dont use this stuff that much

Goodday! Thank you bro! After the modification, it doubled the range or distance travel of my scooter. Now, it can go approximately 65km. The battery depends on your riding style. If you keep running at high speed, ...then the batttery will drain fast. Ride aafe always!

I have a mini Harley scooter and I want to buy another battery and I have 2 slots the one under the seat and the one under the foot rest. Can I just get the battery and plug it in the empty slot without any wiring or anything?

Goodday! It depends. If there is a plug inlet installed, then it is plug and play. If nothing, then you have to do the wirings. Check the wirings that goes to the controller if there is another(extra) inlet for extra battery. Get the same battery voltage. Ride safe!

Is it safe to combine batteries directly in parallel like you have done? I am wanting to do the exact same thing for my ebike, but everyone is telling me that I have to use a battery blender (or combiner)

Goodday! Yes, it is safe. But you have to consider some factors. The two batteries must have the same voltages. Must be the same chemistry(18650 to 18650 or 21700 to 21700) it could be lead acid to lead acid as well. Make sure the two batteries are healthy. Same age batteries are recommended. Just follow the proedure in the video. Ride safe!

@@iankarlogonzaga4001 nasira kase un LCD trigger throttle ko dati. Since wala ako mahanap na katulad niya na compatible dun sa stock controller, ..ang ginawa ko pinalitan ko na lng lahat throttle at controller. Lately n lng ako nagpalit ng motor. Ride safe sayo palage. Pacnxa na late reply🤟

Goodday! Ah doesn't really matter. But voltage is very important to be taken care of. It should be same voltage, same chemistry(lithium to lithium or lead acid to lead acid. NEVER MIX!) (18650 to 18650 or 21700 to 21700) As much as possible same age batteries. Both new and same brand is better. Ride safe always!

Can my 36V throttle work on a 48-volt controller for an e-bike?

But now your deck is too low to the ground. As far as I can see this is Emove Cruiser inspired scooter which already has a very small clearance from the deck to the ground. Any way of avoiding that? Would love to do the same on mine but it seems too risky.

Mount it to the top of the deck. Or find a case that will mount to the stem, I’m thinking of using a 9bot style external battery to my AovoPro es80, only difference is I’m going to use a couple switches so I can turn off the original battery then turn the external battery on to avoid any complications. Edit: Similar to a reserve fuel tank.

Goodday! My stock battery is 10Ah and the extrra battery is 13Ah. They are connected in parallel. 10+13=23Ah. 48V. When connected in parallel only the capacity will go up. But the voltage stays the same. It's highly recommended to use same battery chemistry. 18650 to 18650. Or 21700 to 21700. Also same age/manufacturer would be better. Capacity(Ah) doesnt really matter. But to make it more safer, ...same capacity(Ah) or little bit of difference would be better. Ride safe!

Good luck with. I like your work. However, I want to make an addition. In order to connect two batteries with this cable, it is recommended that the batteries have the same battery values. Otherwise, the weak battery will affect the other. As a solution, I did this: I put a key in the center of the connection. I can switch to the first battery whenever I want and to the other when I want. In this way, the batteries both maintain their internal balance and do not harm each other. Best Regards

It’s not that good in my opinion. It might put a bit less strain on the batteries but if you don’t switch quite often you would hit lower voltage sooner than with true parallels. Still a cool mod, congrats for running it successfully

Does it ABSELOTELY need to be same voltage on the battery? Because i have a 60v scooter and i also have a 52v battery laying around, so maybe that will work?

Sir question lang, yung 48V Zero 8 scooter ko, full charge nya na lang is 51.4V and nitry ko sya isdischarge ng husto, nasa 37V sya instead na usual na 39V cutoff. Nagpareplace ako ng battery last July 2022. Need ba sya iparebalance na? thanks

Goodday bro! Sorry late reply. Adding battery in parallel will extend the range that your scooter can reach. Meaning it will give you more mileage. You will get the full potential of you scooter. Torque and speed may improve depending on the controller and motor of your scooter. I highly recommend adding battery(parallel) for better performance. If you want more speed then you have to upgrade three major components. Higher voltage battery Controller Hub motor All should be in the same rating (eg. 60v) I hope this made it clear. Extending battery is about adding capacity(Ah) The higher capacity, the longer it will run. Ride safe!

how do you know which one is charge and discharge ports? I have same battery as yours but 36v and the connectors are xt30 male and JST female. when i want to use my motor i connect the xt30 to the motor controller and it starts .. does that mean the JST connector is used for charging the battery?

Goodday! Always remember that the thinner wires are for charging the battery. Thicker ones are for discharge. Normally xt30(36v battery) is use for discharge. Ride safe always!🤟

Goodday! Thank you so much! Before, without the extra battery i can reach approximately 35Km (obviously you don't have to throttle all throughout your journey. You release the throttle for some time and freewheeling in the downhill). And that's still counted as travelled distance. At that time my scooter had a weak controller(450w). Now, with the extra battery and 1000w controller. I reached 51.61Km distance the last time i had a night ride with my friends and there's still remaining voltage(45v). I can still ride my scooter 'til it drops at 41v. I don't go further down to avoid depleting the battery completely. Ride safe!🤟

Goodday! The 52v will make the motor run, but it's going to be over voltage and may eventually damage the motor. I recommend to use same voltage rating(48v motor/controler/battery) There are two options when connecting two batteries. Parallel connection for increasing the Ah. Series connection for doubling the voltage. 36v 20ah + 36v 20ah = 36v 40ah (parallel) 36v 20ah + 36v 20ah = 72v 20ah (series) Parallel ( link the two batteries by connecting the 2negatives and the 2poditives) Negative to negative. Positive to positive. Series (link the two batteries by connecting the positive of the battery to the negative of the another battery) Positive to negative. Ride ssfe!🤟

@@fidoAkbar No, it's not possible. You can only parallel two batteries with the same voltage rating, chemistry and as much as possible same age too. Over voltaging will damage your scooter too.

Cool modes man. I have similar one but the battery is glued inside and can not see how many amp hours it is. All I know is 48V. Can I measure the AMH somehow. Im thinking about external. I know they have to be same V but not sure for the AMH.

If they are not in the same voltage there could be a big current flow from the higher voltage battery to the lower voltage battery because in a parallel connection both batteries try to even eachother out.This big current flow could damage the battery and even cause a fire depending on how much current goes from one to the other. The lower voltage battery has less resistance than the higher voltage one. If you don't have alot of knowledge about batteries I would better not mess with it because these batteries can burn your house easily down.

He connected them in parallel, which only doubles the capacity not the voltage. Connecting in series would increase the voltage to 100V. That would kill the controllers and motors.

Goodday! The voltage should be the same. Ah doesn't really matter, but for safety try not to make a huge difference. Mine has a 10Ah stock battery and a 13Ah extra in parallel connection. Ride safe🤟

Bare in mind you should also make sure you're packs also match in AH and discharge amps otherwise it can create extra load on the pack that is less powerful or the other

Did you study electrical engineering? How do you get your knowledge im really interested. Do you guys have a shop in abudhabi my 2020 e10 36v 400w scooter the battery drains fast and the pick up is slow but acceptable, should i upgrade the motor or just the battery. If the battery then what battery capacity should install I usually go a distance of 30-40km around my city and speeds around 35 to 43 I want a bit of speed and battery capacity Or should i just sell the scooter because i recently upgraded the e scooter display and controller i could sell it for 700dh at least as it’s in very good condition i clean it and take care of it in a storage room i bought it for 1200dh in beginning of 2022, should i sell it and add up some money to it and get a 48v 1000w e scooter the newer model of the e 10 but 2022. Where did you get your battery from.

Pede yan basta ingat lng sa pag handle ng battery. Explosive kase ang battery. Kaya mas maige kung mai charge mo ng di tintanggal un baterya. Ride safe!

Goodday! It must be the same chemistry of battery when connecting in parallel. Lipo to Lipo Lithium-ion to Lithium-ion. Just follow the video. Ride safe!

Goodday! Yes, you can directly connect the wires by soldering but it would be less convenient just in case you will try to separate the batteries in the future. Ride safe🤟

Parallel connection un ginawa ko jn. Negative to negative. Positive to positive. Bale 48v lng yan...pero un amp nadagdagan. Generic controller lng yan kaadik. Ride safe.

Hello nice scooter! mine has 52volt 23amp and i have a spare battery from my friend 52volt 18.2amp , is it safe in parallel or does the amps need to be the same too like the volt?

Good day! I may have missed your comment. Yes, you can connect the two batteries in parallel with different amps. As long as same voltage and same chemistry .. for example: lithium-ion to lithium-ion or lead acid to lead acid battery. 18650 to 18650 or 21700 to 21700 lithium battery. It is also highly recommended as much as possible same age of the battery. I hope this still help though it was a late reply. Ride sade always!

hello sir magandang araw po ask kulang po kasi nakita ko video mo tapos pa ulit ulit kung pinanuod.. ok lang po ba na magka iba yong mah nang battery yong eh add ko na battery pack.. like for example the old battery is 10mah tapos yong bago is 14 or 15 ok lang po ba e connect ko in parallel and iisa lang po ba nang charging port.. salamat po sana makita mo itong comment ko.

@jaysonulanday sir what if po palitan ko nalang nang bagong battery yong scooter ko na mas mataas yong MAH niya like yong battery ko ngayon is 10ah lang tapos instead na mag dagdag ako nang 10ah din bibili nalang ako nang 20 or 30ah na battery...pwede po ba yon? d na kailangan mag palit nang controller?? salamat po again i hope ma replayan nyo po ito..thanks solid supporters here.

@@yhumzkietv808 Goodday kaadik! Oo, pede un, kuha ka na lng ng bagong battery na mataas un capacity(Ah). Any capacity pede yan basta un voltage remains the same. For example 48v un unit mo, dapat 48v din un battery. Higher capacity(Ah) equals longer range saka mama-maximize mo un full potential nun scooter mo specially un controller performance. Maraming salamat ulit kaadik!

I believe that now the charging time will be double to have a complete full charge for both batteries Can be possible to have 2 chargers rather than have the charge cables connected in parallel? Or it takes the same time with the parallel connection?

just get a charger that can send more current, the current per cells will be same cause there's more cells

Goodday kaadik! Sa battery make sure na same voltage,..ung Ah kahit hindi ok lng. Saka dapat parehas na klase ng baterya. Same age din highly recommended. Sundan mo lang un nasa vid kaadik. Ingatan mo un positive at negative na wag magdikit. Dapat un dalawang baterya na iko-conect mo in parallel same type. 18650 saka 18650 in parallel, dapat ganyan Ride safe lage kaadik!

Idol kaadik my tanong lang ako scooter ko nasira walang power kase accidentally na charge ko ng ibang charge tas bigla na d gumana at d na nag on e10 scoot ko ano kaya probably sira nito?

Goodday kaadik! Kung gusto mo talaga bumilis un scooter mo, kailangan mo mag palit ng mas mataas na bultahe ng baterya, controller at motor. Depende pa sa wattage ng controller at motor mo yan saka sa Ampere na kayang ibuga ng baterya mo. Actually mas magastos pag ganun. Kaya mas maige kung bibili k n lng ng bagong unit. Ride safe!
