    Thank you! I was enjoying! I could easily watch just another video similar to this, with new shots only, for hour +. The shots are just so pleasing. In those perfect shots with no color correction at all, like at 19:00 , if anything, all I could think of was maybe Sat vs Lum curve only, if I'd like to try it out with less colors in shadows - but it's another style (think your friend Aram K tries to control sat in shadows sometimes, for film look) - colorful shadows are perfectly natural too (as you went more with in some versions). :)

    Hey Matteo. First of all really appreciate the tutorials. I had an unfortunate occurrence where I changed the Video Frame Rate in the Clip Attributes on a project I had already cut. Now I have multiple "Media Offline" errors and the timing of my clips is all messed up. Do you have any idea how I can fix it?

    Hi Matteo, great stuff. Curious if the banding is present in your original export or if that just shows up with YT compression. For example BG at 12:25 or sky at 52:00. Not surprised to see banding in the darker footage at 49:45...(maybe this is where people are saying the 12:1 compression is unusable?). Thanks for uploading! I'm just starting to work with the camera and find all this info super helpful.

    At 20:20 you mention architecture. The shot of the hotel lobby is kind of a classic architecture shot. But your vertical lines are slanted by the lens. I know Resolve can correct for this with the pin-cussion control, so that would straighten the lines. (After Effects can fix it too, easily) If it was a still photo, one would do it for sure. But for video, should it be done? Or should one put a tilt shift lens to fix this? Would this shot have been better with a Canon 17mm tilt shift lens, like the TS e-17? Of course, even with a speed booster this would have yielded a 27mm equivalent. Anyway, what is your opinion about this, especially when shooting a hotel or building? By the way, it is a great shot! Just wondering about the classic vertical line issue.

    These are great videos. Thank you. I wanted to ask, when you use false color do you use it to expose the Braw (or ProRes if you are using that) OR do you use it to expose Braw/Pro res plus the LUT you will use after (i.e. a rec 709 lut). I.e do to you expose for the mix?

    About this issue - I’m not sure if you are aware but according to Blackmagic’s Dynamic Range chart for the pocket 4K, ISO has a HUGE difference in how many stops of highlights we have. I got the camera 2 days ago and was testing outside with a strong sunlight. I was using ISO 100 and it was very difficult to control the highlights. Changed the ISO to 800, compensanted with ND filters and the difference is striking. There’s a lot more information and a much more pleasing highlight rolloff.

  • @matteobertoli

    Revisitar the problem is that at 800iso the noise is horrible

  • @Revisitar

    @Revisitar

    5 жыл бұрын

    Matteo Bertoli Visuals I only shot with BRAW and I found the noise to be quite acceptable. I don’t know if the results are different in Prores. But even at 400/640 ISO you will see an increase in how the camera handles the highlights. It’s worth testing it out, the difference is quite noticeable.

    I have a fairly beefy machine, 24GB Ram, GTX680 5GB, and a 980X CPU hex core Win 7. Davinci Resolve won't play sound, wont play smoothly even with normal 1080p. And it's not just DR16 it was the same with DR15. I've given up sending emails to Black Magic as they never even respond, complete waste of time. Is there anyone can tell me what it might be?
