    Honeybee Hi ! Of course ! 🤗 So basically I first reduced the amount of exercice. I used to workout 8-10 hours a week) and now I'm more around 2-3 hours. But I had to do it for my own health because I was putting so much pressure and stress on my body. And the other thing is that I gained weight, more than I wanted but I'm definitely gonna try to lose a bit of weight, but in a healthy way. 😊 And I also had a treatment with "fake hormones" that I took for 2 months in October and November. But honestly I wasn't expecting to get them because I haven't made changes recently, it has been a long journey but I'm happy !

    Totally! Especially with the number of young influential girls that follow her. Followers needs to keep in mind that Sarah doesn't actually have any formal education in fitness, nutrition, or health. If she really is passionate about helping others, she should go back to school and follow through with it. No hate, I love watching her videos, but more often than not the information that she shares does worry me.

    Mallory DeMille none of these supplements are harmful? I miss the days people could share their opinion without being scrutinised. There is this ridiculous youtuber oppression going on. Young girls are simply that, young girls. Not mindless idiots who cannot think for themselves or lack common sense.

    Zoe - Not commenting on the supplements specifically here, but of course people should do their own research, and of course everyone is entitled their own opinion. That said, I think if Sarah is going to make advice-esque videos and posts targeted at young girls, she should consider gaining more credible and formal education. And of course, that's just my opinion.

  • @lucym911

    Yeh it's because your body kind of prevents you from getting pregnant because when you overtrain and don't have enough fat and your cortisone is too high, your body isn't a hospitable place to grow a human lol so it literally stops you from being able to have a baby. Cool isn't it!

    if you’re not eating enough you will loose your period, loosing your period is based on your intake, if you eat too little you’ll loose it, a side effect of that is weight loss, to regain your period you need to increase your calories again!!

  • @lahee7193

    @@sophievandijk49 Well How many calories should I consume in a day to get my period back? I had eating disorders so I really don't know the regular amount that people eat in a day. I was eating 400 calories each day almost 2 weeks and lost 10 pounds. It is silly but I am really afraid that I will gain all of my weight that I have lost if I start to eat again.

  • @sophievandijk49

    @sophievandijk49

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@lahee7193 I understand you! I am in treatment for my anorexia and had lost my period from underrating along with my organs almost shutting down from too much weight being lost in a small amount of time. This illness is so deadly and while you’re in it you become so naive towards the extreme effects it has on your body as you just want to be thin. If you continue to under eat there’s an extremely high chance you can start to have binge eating disorder which is just as bad as anorexia or bulimia or orthorexia. I was forced into receiving help by my parents and so they took me to a dietitian who specialises in ed’s as well as a psychologist that specialises in ed’s. Because all bodies are different I can’t expect you to follow what I did as I’m very tall so I have to eat more than the average person. Firstly I would recommend getting in touch with a dietitian that is in the field of eating disorders because if you get any regular dietitian they may not understand the psychology behind eating disorders and/or put your down the road of orthorexia. If you can’t receive access to one of those specialists I highly recommend eating a similar amount to how you used to. I know it’s scary but if you’re not getting your period it’s a sign that your body is shutting down because it cannot function/serve its needs. You also can’t begin intuitive eating because you would have shrunk your stomach in the process (referring to your organ) therefore you will be less hungry than what you were before. This is why it’s so important to get professional help as it will be hard to know how much food you need without any background experience. Sorry if this didn’t make any sense!! Write back if you have any questions x

    I know she is not qualified to give advice BUT her video is titled "how I got my period back" NOT "how to get YOUR period back". She is simply sharing what worked for her and regardless if it helps others get their periods back or not she is still sharing advice that is going to benefit the body in other ways not just for the reproductive system. People should be smart enough to realise that going to a doctor/health professional is different to listening to youtube videos. Although I dont agree with all the information in this video (i.e. I love my tofu) she is sharing what worked for HER!! Every body is different, just because something works for 1 person, does not mean it will work for another. For me, after only having 3 periods a year for 7 years, Ive finally have them regular with less cardio, more healthy fats and stressing less (but thats just ME!) xx

    I’m Susan Ray from USA... I am the most blessed person on earth right now because i am free from fibroids...i am here to give my testimony about Dr OMO who helped me cure my fibroid, i want to inform the public how i was cured from (FIBROID) by Dr OMO Herbal Home, i visited different hospital but they gave me list of drugs which is very expensive to treat the symptoms and they never cured me. Three months ago a friend suggested that I should try herbal medicine from a very powerful herbal doctor called Dr OMO, I looked up his blog on the internet site and indeed he had immense success with his product. There were lot of persons posting their testimony about how he cured them. when i contacted him he gave me hope and send a Herbal medicine for me to take and how to take it... i took the herbal medicine for just 11 days and i noticed a huge change in my body system and i continued the medications for another 1 week and after that, Dr OMO asked me to go and do a text from the lab to see if i still have the sickness and to my greatest surprise my FIBROID is gone..my FIBROID result just came out negative. My doctor was shocked how i got cured. I am so happy as i am sharing this testimony. My advice to you all who thinks that there is no cure for FIBROID that is Not true...Remember health is wealth...you can contact him on him Email at dromo596@gmail.com and WhatsApp on +2349033505260... He can as well cure 1.PCOD/PCOS 2.BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBES 3.HERPES 4.IRREGULAR PERIODS 5. MENSTRUAL CRAMPS or CAN'T CONCEIVE etc...

    As someone who also suffers from pcos and amenorrhea, it took 2 years to get my hormones balanced before a period would come. Even now, I’m healthy, fit, eat well and hormones are balanced, I wait months on end still to get my period. I definitely think a follow up post with a disclaimer for girls to go the doctors and that each person’s body is different would be awesome to other girls who think this is how to get their period back.

    Hi Sarah. I have PCOS. I was diagnosed at age 35 years old. I lost my cycle for months. Cysts, and scar tissue on my ovaries. I know exactly what going thru and how you feel. I've had this for now 10yrs now. My hormones and cycle are truly out of sink. I changed my diet regiment, and my workout regiment and trying to keep my weight down and everything on a healthy balance. I, too, love coffee, 1 of my favorites. Now, 2018.. Starting of a brand new year. I lost my period again.. I changed my diet again, and a few other things. You're so positive, and doing all the right things. You will be successful. Continue to keep yourself happy, healthy, you will and have blessed others just by discussing this. Have a good day, a safe day, and a Blessed day! 😀😍😘😘😘

    For all the girls with hormonal imbalance, (including me) here are some tips you should probably follow 1- if you're overweight, you should lose some weight. I know it's not easy because even I am trying to do that right now and it's really hard, but whatever you do, don't do extreme diets or intense exercises. It doesn't matter how much time it takes also, you can do it in as long as you want. 2- decrease your salt intake. The amount of salt you eat every day in good is way more than you think. Especially if you eat ramyeon noodles or other processed food which have a really high amount of salt in them. edit: it's been a while since i commented this and i found some more information about pcos. it's mainly caused by the increase of the hormones of insulin, which happens when you eat a lot of sugar, so i recommend a certain diet that helps a lot with it. -no flour (and eat less of foods that have it in them like buns, pasta, bread, etc.) -no cornstarch -no processed food such as frozen foods, sausages, and convenience store foods in general -no sugar. (and maybe eat less salt too) -fruits, but no more than one of each because in this case even natural sugar can be bad for you -more veggies and also, as i said before if you have any extra weight like i do you should probably move around a lot. you dont need to exercise, at the least you could just walk around the room at a normal pace. hope this helped

    So happy you got it back!! The main reason women, especially very active women, lose their period is to save energy. When you are tired, over-worked and under eating the first thing that your body does is stop the process of your period. Because yes, your cycle is important to reproduce but it isn't vital to survive, thus it stops to conserve your energy!

And almost always I would be wanting to go and workout but the comfort of my bed seemed too good. Thank you for being your best and most true and raw self. Your life journey up till now has shown me that almost everyone goes through highs and lows but what differentiates you from others is that you let yourself have a moment to consider everything, asses how you feel, and then work towards getting back up and pushing through whatever is trying to hold you down. I'm passing the same situation. I was always regular.. Then I broke up, exercised twice a day 5 days a week., stress at work My last period was in February. Did a eco a couple of weeks and they found cysts on my ovaries. I received a partial result of my blood tests, and my cholesterol, cortisol, sugar, some hormones were OK. The ACTH , DHEAT and testo results still missing. Initially I putted some weight, breakout a lot of very bad acne, I was eating like a lion, I was always hungry.. The only symptoms that I have is a missing period, no special weight gain, no excess of hair or hair falling off my scalp. Now I'm cutting coffee, some diary, doing gluten free and a low-carb diet, my hunger is controlled and i'm feeling better, i'm losing the weight that I gained with no issues, sleeping better. But still no period... It's only been 3 months and I already miss having a period..

    Here's what I did to get my period back more regularly. (I've had no period for 1.5years before). Keto or low carb diet, no dairy, no sweets, no cold drinks (occasional ice cream is ok since we gotta live a little), no processed or junk food, and intermittent fasting! I don't take any supplements since I don't believe in pills. Also drink hot ginger water every morning. Literally throw some slices of ginger and let it boil on low for a few minutes. I only drink water, tea, almond milk, and soup. And I guess having a high protein diet (85-100g+). Thats what I've been doing in the past year to get my period back. Gl!

    @@samantha9164 No. It really depends on what condition or the underlying problems one has. Shouldn't write one method off just bc you don't think it works. Might not work for you but may for others. My "recipe" won't work for girls that are already malnourished and over worked their bodies. Such as eating 900 cals a day and working out 2-3hrs a day. That could cause missing periods so your suggestion of eating and resting will help. But it won't help with pcos. My method will improve symptoms of pcos. IF doesn't put stress on the body if you are doing it correctly. Instead, it will put less stress to your organs. You aren't supposed to limit calories when doing IF, but instead just change your eating period to fit with your schedule. Ofc, I wouldn't recommend IF for people with eating disorders. My method can aid with hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance.

  • @winniechen4311

    @winniechen4311

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@SK-wo2qg I do on and off keto. I never mentioned the soups my mom makes to replenish/nourish my body. She made it bc I get dizzy or needed to have more nutrients. I think an English term would be tonic soups but it's not really. She uses some herbs and a chicken and it's delicious. It's hard to describe since it's a Chinese culture kinda thing. In my culture, there's this concept in traditional Chinese medicine that a female shouldn't eat too many cold stuff bc it's too "lerng" which i have no English term for that. So during, and after, our menstruation, we shouldn't be drinking and eating cold stuff such as watermelon, celery, lettuce, ice cream etc. But it seems to only be of concern to Chinese people since white people are totally fine when they eat those. So idk. But I suggest you get some golji berries, dry longangs and soak it in hot water and drink it. Also ginger is great. My mom told me my cousin nourished her body for a year before getting pregnant. She went to see a Chinese medicine doctor and drank those tonics for a while to get pregnant. Now she has 3 toddlers. My mom's side has more trouble with getting regular periods so they need to nourish their body first before getting pregnant. I suggest you see a Chinese traditional doctor. It's much less harmful than western medicine bc they don't prescribe you pills. It's all herbs and roots/barks combined to treat certain symptoms. I went to an obgyn and she prescribed me this med. The pharmacist told my mom to buy one month's worth instead of the whole thing. Doc prescribed me 6 month's worth. The pharmacist told my mom not to take it all but to try a month's worth to see bc it's harmful to body. But I don't think he specified it was harmful. But he indirectly hinted. Anyway, I Googled the pills and they were banned in Australia a year later after it was prescribed to me. Ot caused death and blood clots. It's basically birth control to balance my hormones which I specifically said I didn't want birth controls. So, yes my period did come after I finished the pills but I didn't want to rely on them every time. So I stopped after the month and did my own more natural remedy. But you should also have your blood checked to see what's up. If you are prescribed pills you don't have to buy or take them.

She made this youtube channel so SHARE her journey. SHOW what her life is like. Im sure if any other person picked up a camera and vlogged what they eat or how they live their life, people would find a ton of wrong things too. You can be the prettiest rose in the garden, and yet someone will prefer tulips. 'Eating to little, eating too much, eating too healthy, eating too much junk' omg you guys, you can find wrong with ANY DIET AND ANY LIFE STYLE. Let the girl live her life. If she wants to treat her health issues holistically, let her be. It works for her. She has never said 'ONLY TREAT IT YOURSELF,' so saying that she 'tells girls to cure everything themselves and not go to an actual doctor' is just so inaccurate. Love you Sezzy, and people seriously need to chill.

For athletes who are physically women, they can sometimes stop having a period if their body fat percentage is rather low. Do you happen to know what your BMI or body fat percentage is?

    I am a former hobby athlete that went too far with eating clean and working out. It all ended with anorexia and a weak body on 38kg. For a while I didn’t even had any fat left in my body (body scan) I had professional help to get my health back. But when you are so sick, it’s hard to understand how serious everything is. I am now happy to say that I survived and my weight on 60 kg is all healthy! But. My gut health is non existent. Witch is awful.. I eat super clean, but it doesn’t matter. I’m very depressed and struggling with a lot of ghosts in my head.. having a bunch of problems with my body and one of them is the fact that I haven’t had my period for 6 years... I have no idea what to do. Tried to eat my fats, maca powder etc. nothing happens, and I only feel more sick and depressed day by day. Have been following Sarah for a while, and now when she have Kurt and Fox, I couldn’t be happier for her. And for sure, that’s all I want as well.. someone to love, someone who loves me. And being able to build my own family 💕

    Sezzy, if you haven't already try fertility tea. You can buy it online from different brands but make sure it has chasteberry, dandelion leaves and raspberry leaves. Whenever my period is late by a few days or more I make this tea and my period comes within 12 hours. Every. time. So maybe it will help your cycle get more in sync!

    I'm not sure why there is so many negative comments. Sezzy literally said so many times that every body is different and you should talk to your doctor first. She never said this is the only way that you can get your period back she is just sharing how she got hers back. If you don't like her suggestions don't take them. I am so proud of you Sezzy! You are my favorite youtuber and I can't wait to see more of your videos :)

I think she should've waited until she's gotten it a few times to make she has a regular period cycle. Maybe she won't end up getting her period for another few months after she just got here back.

    I've stopped for 3 going in 4 months. And I've had around 4 periods this year and it's November. My doctor thinks it may be PCOS and my great grandmother, grandmother, and mother had it, my grandmother just had a hysterectomy (uterus removal) after she was hospitalised when a really big cyst flipped her whole ovary and she was in severe pain. I was terrified when it stopped cause I thought it was like the stress, cause I lost 5 family members in the passed 3 months and other stresses didn't help, but my doctor said it was possibly PCOS and had me do a blood test.

    I lost my period for 8 months and got it yesterday! The only thing I did is change my diet to plant based and instead of going 5 times a week to the gym, I just go 3 or 2. I gain little weight but still very shredded. I just weigh 2 more kg than before. Seriously when you go vegan you can eat as much as you want without guilt or “fear” of gaining weight. Before going vegan I was so restricted with carbs! I was just like sezzy... Went vegan a month ago and got my period yesterday!!!

    @@TienTran-ik5ui I think I ate like 1-2 eggs a week, so not that many. I concentrated on gaining weight again and eating looots of healthy fats (while still eating the carbohydrates and protein), since I read how important healthy fats (especially omega 3 dha and epa) are. And I ate whenever I felt hungry (I did intermittent fasting before that too), nomatter how late it was. I also bought a bottle of fish oil with lots of dha and epa, but I don't know if that was really necessary...I stoped after that one bottle, since I was just too disgusted by the thought of consuming fish (product). Instead I consumed loooots of organic virgin canola oil and walnuts, avocados, any kind of healthy vegan fats... (but mostly canola oil because of the ala and it's inexpensive). I think this is what really helped me. As soon as I hit my old weight (53kg) my period came back. :) Oh and additionally I concentrated on always having a relaxed/happy/calm mind and not ever stressing myself out. Instead of working out I took long walks. I wish you that you'll get your period back soon. You can totally do it.

    Hey Tessa! I was super super tired for a really long time. You are really right about the sugar thing. I got two blood tests in a year and everything came back normal. So I cut out sugar (still have some chocolate occasionally) and my energy levels went through the roof! 1/3 of my calories during the day came from chocolate and biscuits.. no joke! Because of this I had to up eating in other food groups when i cut it out to maintain a healthy level of calories. Keep eating fruit because it contains Vitamin C which will help with iron absorption which might be your problem. Energy from drinks and sweets burns up quick.. I have learnt my lesson. Most importantly get a blood test.. make sure you get your thyroid and iron checked!!
