    Thank you for all those information! Your videos are really helpful! I have a question about what you mentioned about a 60 day cycle (22:09). It's been 4 months since my period started coming consistently, but it comes at 40 days. When I was little and before my period stopped, my cycle was long, meaning I was geting a period every 35 days or maybe a little more. I know 40 days is a long time so first question, is this normal after experiencing HA? And is there any chance that this will be fixed at some point and have a normal cycle?

    Thank you soo much for your videos! You have been soo helpful and inspiring to me. I just started getting my period again after 10 years of HA. I was wondering if my luthia phase is too short if I should be cutting out all exercise even if it’s not high intensity? Thanks

    Hey Naomi! Cutting out exercise will definitely help with a short luteal phase - just make sure you learn how to bring exercise back in in a healthy way so that it doesn't happen again!

    What would you say would the ideal amount of coffee be in one day after HA recovery? I've had my second period now and since recovery I've just been having a coffee maybe once a week (if that), so would one coffee a day maybe mid morning after breakfast be okay after I've had my third period? Really appreciate your help, your videos and Instagram page has really helped me these last few months!

    Hey Amber! Good question and it really depends. I'd actually need to look at your overall cycle - do you chart? If we can look at your cycle and see how it's going, IE healthy follicular phase, ovulation, luteal phase and menstruation phase, then we would say yes, enjoy a coffee. If these areas are on struggle stress a bit, I'd keep the coffee to a minimum.

    You may be able to, you can just test. Make sure you're tracking your cycle so you can stop fasting before you lose your period again and ensure you're eating enough throughout the day. If you're working out in the morning, try to have a big dinner.

    Hi, this is a late response to your video,but could you advise whether overall calories are more important than overall carbs to get your period back?

    So its been a year since Ive had my period but I've recently started getting period symptoms and I started spotting a couple of days ago. Is it normal to start spotting first before my actual period comes back with hypothalamic amenhorrea? Thank You!

  • @DaniSheriff

    Hey! Yeah it's pretty common. See what happens with your second period before getting concerned about it because that first cycle can usually be pretty turbulent. If more than a day of spotting happens consistently before your period, it may be that your progesterone is still too low. All you usually need to do for that is keep resting and eating, the same stuff you did to get your period back in the first place BUT it might be a sign that you need to do even more of it!

    Hi, thanks for the information but I have a question which is do I need to have breakfast if I wake up at 4am and only had 4-5 hours sleep because of the inconsistency of work shifts? Can I have like sourdough with just peanut butter or almond butter please? I am trying to get my period back… normally I don’t eat breakfast straight away if I had only 4-5 hours sleep because I feel like I was still bloated from the food yesterday and have no appetite in the morning🥲

  • @DaniSheriff

    @DaniSheriff

    Hey Sharon, the 4-5 hours of sleep is probably causing an equal or worse effect on your recovery than the eating immediately thing. Can you do anything about that? But then yes, that would be a fine breakfast!

    @@DaniSheriff thank you for your reply! I am quitting one of the job so I’ll be having more sleeping hours. I just went to gynaecologist and did ultrasound… she said it’s gonna take a long while for me to get my period back because she didn’t see any progress 😭😭😭
