Being a small business owner myself i definitely know the feeling man.. people dont realize the grind that happens behind the scenes, the time away from family, the stress, the worry etc.. it can break you down, thats what seperates the men from the boys.. been in business 11 yrs now and it's still a grind..👊

Everything is easy when you aren’t the guy doing it. A lot of people don’t see the hustle it takes sometimes to get ahead and make it in a business. The times you don’t get a paycheck, the long hours because something breaks down. Much respect to you for your hustle.

20 years ago I was on the streets, fresh out the marines and not in a good place mentally. Last year I made 142k (not much to some but unthinkable to.me back then) long twisting road got me to where I am. I work my ass off for what I got and I'm proud of where I am. Alot of people want to piss and moan about life and refuse to do anything about it. Enjoy the channels keep the videos coming.

YOU ANSWERED NEARLY ALL the question I had about you. I watch lots of these channels and you really got it going on. Your betrayal story reminded of the many times in the Holy Bible bad things happen to people only to result in some major transformation for good down the road. I watch many w/o the sound because I can see what's happening but I knew you had to have some major training to be that damn good mechanically. I been racking my brain for months wondering what the hell a V Belt is. There's no better feeling being out in the woods or on a construction crew or going down the road when you know your with a guy who can fix nearly anything that goes wrong mechanically. And it will go wrong. I got mad respect for you buddy. Stay sober. Psalms 19.

I love your story. I am an Electrical Contractor and mobile welding Contractor in Wyoming. I started with $ 486.00 and a half ton truck. All by myself and my reputation. Did Awsome for about five years and had lots of equipment, all paid for when I bought them. Anything to make more money, do more things, things no one else was doing. That started in 2012. In late 2016 I shut it all down sold everything bought a 5th wheel and went back on the road working industrial Electrical. Spent 4 years in Las Vegas, bought a house, lived comfortably. Missed the self employed life and the Wyoming life. So this last September I moved home and started the company back up and have been doing pretty well for another cold start. I can't sell anything for anyone else, but I can dam sure sell myself and my abilities, prove them and stand behind them. It's a lot of work and a lot of unknown and what ifs. But worth it all the way. Being a Master Electrician is no easy feet and neither is working for yourself. I'm in my 32 year as an electrician and still love what I do. Best of luck to you and keep it up.

Sam, I have two small boys. Whenever they step out of line or try to skip out on work I tell them there is only 4 words I want to hear out of their mouths: Hard Work And Respect. Its what makes the world go round and if you can't produce those two things, you dont deserve anything. Hard work and respect. The people that dog you in the comments generally don't do much of either so forget them. You're doing great. I love the channel. I've been watching you since you only had a few thousand subscribers. Thanks for having us along for the ride.

I appreciate you telling this story. You remind me of Gov. Gary Johnson. Your smart, but humble to a degree, not saying your some sorta saint, not throwing that kinda "weight" at you. Listening to you talk.. & probably being close to the same age as you, I could relate a bit, & its motivated me, & made me want to "gird up my loins" or whatever that saying is, & try harder. I will say I'm envious you get along as well as you do with your old man.. I wish I could say the same about my dad. He owned his own business & when I was younger I wanted to get into it, but rather than train me, he kept pushing me away telling me to get into "nursing", & didn't teach me anything.. *sighs* Now its all lost to time.

Thanks, for sharing your story with us . I love watching you all go into an over grown area and clean it up and make it look like a completely different place . And I am sure that, that makes you look at it and feel proud of what that you just accomplished there. You all do a great job doing what that you do, like painting a new landscape for the area . I have found out in life, that you need to be true to yourself and push forward to achieve what that you want and take pride in your work, going that extra mile to make it look amazing and make your customers feel proud of how that it looks . I will be looking forward for more videos and you all be careful and stay safe and making everything look great on your jobs. As always, Jeffrey !!!

Just watched your video i don't comment much but this hit home i too work with my father side by side make financial decisions for our company trying to grow us also all the haters they give me the fuel to do what i do i like doing what people say cant be done and i do it, i grew up we lived ok dad and mom did what they could to provide for me i started helping dad young much like you we struggled for years we still do now but not as bad we've learned made some investments outside and back into the company to help us between new machines and trucks i love the comments on daddys money, i laughed when i bought my first brand new truck i said what money this is my $ what people don't see is the hard grind we go through in businesses especially small mom and pops like yours and mine were not millionaires were making it i hope the future is bright for both of us maybe someday our kids will work for us and we can pass down what we both are building so our kids won't have to watch us as parents struggle like we had to watch ours like my old man says there's always a way to make $ find it and do it try to get ahead

You are awesome Sam, You turned bad into good. That is the trick in life. We all have setbacks but it is how we handle the bad and keep going is why you are successful. There will always be jealous people that will try and tear you down. My family was always jealous of my success. They always tried to make me feel bad about my success and at the same time have their hand out wanting something.

Great story. Respect to you and dad. I just started watching and I'm impressed with all the equipment for just a couple guys. That's my goal too. Always adding equipment and always staying with a small crew. In fact I was just at my storage yard realizing I own way too many trucks and trailers but I don't like to sell stuff off because they all serve a purpose at different points. Love that Diamond C you own. That's on my list. Keep working hard and laugh at the haters. Be well

Nice to hear about another guy whos got the hustle bug from seeing the other side of it when you're young. between you, Dirt Monkey and a couple other guys, ive seen enough to know it was time to start my own business. so happy I did, the moneys out there. anyone who says "daddy;s money" hasn't worked long enough to see what 'the boss' is making. keep pumping out those sweet vids, i might be a mason in Ontario, but its definitely cool to see some Northern CA forestry. ps, with the way the price on dump trailers is going; you'll be able to get 80 k for that trailer by next July.

Once in a while you come across an authentic video like this from fellow entrepreneurs. Same feeling every time. Vindication for all the times people didn't believe in you, all the times someone told you to just get a job who didn't understand what you were doing. People who never stepped outside their comfort zone. You grind, work hard and do everything you can, because whats the alternative? How do people with one customer (their boss) think it's more risky to have hundreds of customers that could individually decide not to keep hiring you? Anyway good work man, you deserve everything you worked hard for.
