Badass intro man. You should start including that truck more in the channel. I think all it needs is a B&W gooseneck hitch and an exhaust brake. I enjoy a good glass of sweet tea.

The heated seats in my '06 3500 weren't working and the drivers side was torn. I bought a new cover and pad and thought I'd buy a new heating element but they want over $300 for a replacement. So I just ripped off the old heating element and glued it onto the new pad and slapped everything back in. Whatever I did, the heated seats started working again.

That radio unit gives me ptsd lol. I had that exact same radio unit in my 98 jeep grand cherokee lol.

my 99, i had bob wagner at smarty put antistall in my ecm. i did the toggle switch to make the cruise work. i bought a parts 99 manual truck yrs later. i swapped the pcm on the firewall and the cruise stared working as factory. suprised me.

The combo tape and cd player rocks. It’s a love hate relationship cuz I want the newer technology with CarPlay and maps but I love listening to my cds and old tapes. Guess I should get a wireless touchscreen for it. Anyone ever done that? I enjoy a good glass of sweet tea.

as far as 12vs are concerned i found an old forum that stated you find the black wire with a white tracer on the black connector off your PCM, you cut that wire and cruise works, it worked for my 98 i did a an auto to manual swap in, couldnt believe it actually worked, as far as that 24V crap im not sure if its the same or not.

I didn’t have any weird issies when I swapped the 47RE for G56 in my 98.5 Cummins 2wd. Maybe because it’s older 24V? I do have a check engine light, but I am not RPM limited, great power, and cruise control works fine. I haven’t gotten around to updating my ECM to manual. I generally left the auto trans sensors unplugged with electrical tape covering them, and a resistor on one to keep the Trans Temp light off. I love driving my truck and your G56 swap videos were most helpful.

Maybe think about the ECM/PCM swap. But by God she's basically perfect. Sell it to me when you're ready. Absolute dream truck.

Yeah i love a good glass of sweet tea! Works for me. Can you run that ground wire through the clutch safety switch? Just a thought im not sure how you have your clutch switch wired. Run one side of your clutch switch to ground and the other to that wire so when you press the clutch down all the way it grounds the wire so it will start then its disconnected as long as you dont push the clutch all the way down. I have a 12 valve cummins swapped 2005 chevy 2500hd that I have the prndl unit off the transmission still plugged in and in neutral so my truck will start and my factory push button 4x4 works and will shift into low range. I have a check engine light on, though, because it's looking for all kinds of stuff that it will never find, lol

Awesome truck. Seems minimal but paint matched 4th gen mirrors would look sick. Not a sweet tea fan but lemonade is a different story. Keep up the great work.

@@VBELTandSON Those late second gen/ 3rd gen tow mirrors really aren’t great for when your towing.

My 2001 2500 sport (came with a v10) has cloth seats in it, when I bought the truck I didn't realize how rare it was until i started looking for the same truck with a 24v in it. now im trying to find a wrecked 24v so i can "throw" one in it with a 5 speed manual.

That’s a hard question to answer Taco Bell or a wiring short. 😂😂😂😂

I have swapped a 24 Valve from a medium duty Frieghtliner. Do you know if Smarty supports ecms for medium duty? Or do you know if the smarty talks only to the ecm via the J1939

Only thing you can’t register here is 2010 and older over 14,000lbs gvwr. Pickups are no problem here.
