May I ask, did you submit through the IRCC Portal or through GCKEY?

My daughter did her master's program online because of covid 19 pandemic. She was called for the final term of the program which is face-to-face (viva) in 20 22. She applied for her visa in May 2022 and her exams were in August 2022. She never got the visa and she missed out. To date, she has never received her visa yet she will soon be doing her final exams in August 2023.

So there was nobody to advise you all? Of course, she can't just go to Canada just for the final term. She has a master's degree but they won't even give her points in express entry for having a Canadian degree because it was online. She can and should apply for express entry.

Hi dear. I hope you understand in what context I used that and it was just my personal perspective and might not really apply. But honestly I do not really know if same applies to the countries you mentioned. But all I know is that it is always better to calculate with BM rate if you can afford it as it definitely means more money if they calculate using the official rate (which they likely will)

Thank you so much Mara, this is sooooo much good information. Thank God i found you. So i got admitted into Nursing, and my tuition fee for a year is 30k CAD, d program is 2yrs. So for NSE that requires 30k CAD for study, if i had already paid my 1yr fee and i put in d receipt, do i still need to show anoda 30k aside d 10k For living expenses, or i should just go ahead and show d 10k and watever amount tops it, since i have paid my 1 year Tuition of 30k CAD? Lol my question seems all over d place, but i hope u understand it and help me by shedding more light. Thank you very much.

Hey dear. This is a very important. Sure I didn’t pay tuition before I got my visa. But after I got my visa I paid some part of my tuition. This is to get what is called “letter of enrollment” which is one of the documents you need on your travel day. The immigration office at the border will ask for it very possibly. You can only get LOE when you have paid tuition or at least some part.

Hey there. I didn’t pay any tuition or deposit till I got my visa. HRM is actually quite a pricy course here, heard it ranges between $7000 to around $14,000 or even more depending on the school.

What session did you apply for at the university? Cos you took more than six months before you applied for your visa. Did you at any point defer your admission? Just curious

I reached out to the school at every point. They guaranteed that my admission was valid till September of 2022. They also asked me to reach out for extension if I still didn’t get my visa by then. So at every point you have to keep in touch with your school and department.

You are supposed to get the hard copy delivered to you by BC. If you are sure the result is out then I suggest you send BC an email to enquire about your result.

You can send me a dm okay @saacmara. For POF It's tricky. They focus on inflow and outflow... They sometimes look at accounts as far back as 1 year even. But basically 4 months good movement is all that's required at the time of submission.

Hey dear thank you so much 😊 🥰 Well, I didn’t defer nor extend my admission because my school said my admission was valid for a while Year. But just as I always emphasize, contact the school (send them an email) tell him that your visa is taking longer than expected. Ask them whether or not you should defer your admission. Trust me they understand the whole visa delay and will be willing to do the needful to help you. If that means deferring your admission or extending it, they will. Except the admission has a deadline that is over that timeframe.

Pls, you mentioned that you applied on May 6th 2021 and left 2022. How long did it take for u to arrive in canada from the very first day you applied. I received a confirmation letter after applying about 2days after and they asked me to send my official transcript through my university to U of R without interference. Just tell your bank you need MyBankStatement. They most likely will understand what you mean instantly if you talk to the right person at the bank. Almost all the bank in Nigeria does that except first bank I think.

I used 4 months account statement. Beyond family I also used thinks like a jobs I would come back to do in Nigeria as home tie. Use whatever is available to you and want you wish.

Sure you can. 6.0 (overall) score is the minimum for NSE.

In actually, for NSE you’re required to just provide IELTs. No band is actually stated. You can verify that. But it is often advised that you have at least a band 6 in the overall score.

Hi, sure you can use Mpower Int’l student loan as POF for yourself to take the NSE visa route. However, it also depends on how much the loan is worth. You can also use MyBankStatement for your spouse and kids to show the cover for their living expenses. I do not think your spouse needs to write IELTS since he is just accompanying you ( this is just what I think, I might be wrong). Hope this helps. All the best.
