@@InsiderGyaan mere friend ko bcom hons from Hansraj, 9/9/7 profile, and 99.51 percentile pe bhi ABC se call nhi aayi. and mereko bhi 98 pe bas IIM K se. Probably kyuki ham dono hi fresher the. Workex ka thodi fayda to mil hi jaata shortlisting mai.

A GMAT 750+ might be hard. But CAT 97 percentile is definitely not hard. GEM fresher with 9/9/8 acads has to get above 99.7 percentile for IIM ABC and I'm not even exaggerating.

@@InsiderGyaan also how is IIT engineering in metallurgy, chemical, civil, agricultural, mining, production etc. a tangible proven result for an equity research, IB, M&A, PE, consulting role etc. ? If it is blind faith on the fact that they are from IIT, then the company is stupid to not recruit directly from IIT. Why waste 2 years and 25 lakhs of the great IITians money...... After all wasn't he anyways supposed to get a "one crore plus ka package" from his great IIT in his great branch of engineering for which he had lots of "passion". People will do any shit stream in IIT just for the tag and then say i realised that stream is not my cup of tea and come for MBA..... Lol all hypocrites

@@rohanswer5091 bhaiya tum nikal kr dikhao jee advanced..tumhe..iit jodhpur mein biotech bhi mil gyi na..to meine maan jaana hai aapko.Aap advanced ka paper uthao ,tab aapko pta chlega ki kyon IITians are worth it.aisa paper jo aapka har attribute test kr leta hai.jo obv iitians would be better choice,same holds for CA

I don't think it must be difficult for non engg students to not get ABC calls for 97%tile. Also, say whatever, IITians sure as hell make life difficult for the rest xD. Man gets into Equity Research with BIOTECH ENGG and that too mid office. India, proud of you!

Exactly....if you are going to recruit a guy during summer placements solely based on the fact that he is from IIT then as a company you might as well take him from iit itself. IIT = Blind faith by recruiters in India Non IITians compete with each other for the remaining jobs after the best are gone to IITians (even if it's biotechnology, metallurgy, civil, industrial, mining, loda lehsun engineering).

With finance experience, or high grades and solid knowledge about valuation etc. Relevant internships help too

@@aryangupta894 @Aryan Gupta JP Morgan comes to IIT Delhi for placements. IIT provides the platform, after that certifications and self study help students in getting placed. Without the platform, certifications do not necessarily help in landing a job. You'll have to apply off-campus on their website, and trust me it is very hard (not impossible, though).

Hello sir, does gap year after 12th affect admission into IIM s?? I had 3 gap years after 12th, was preparing for neet. Then analysed myself and decided to do a BBA, does the gaps affect my chances to get into IIMs?

I have the same story this year despite a slightly lower percentile I got a call from IIMB and converted it also😀😀😀.IIMB especially focuses on PROFILE and also explicitly mentions it in their selection criteria document.

Hi It was a nice story! :) I had 91% in 10th, and 93 in 12th. RN I'm in 2nd yr of graduation. Will I be capable to crack CAT scoring around 99% in the first attempt? for that Should I have to opt for coaching or not? And If capable, also concerned about the cost of doing IIM, Any familiarity with to what extent I can reduce the cost?

Vivek - that's a question for you :) Anything is possible with good prep and practice. Don't worry about the cost too much. You will get loans + merit based schols can help reduce the loan amount

For Bangalore it is 80- 85 percent if you are from General category with a good academic record . I think you can also apply through General category since your grades are good.

No clear demarcation. Per my perception, AB are ranked higher. C and ISB kind of at same level
