Thanks! Lol, I'm almost a senior (that is, a real senior, almost 60) who has been trying to get that elusive Bachelor degree since 1979 when I graduated high school. LIFE just kept throwing me curve balls. Hearing your report on the validity of this program helps me immensely.

If you haven't already Go For It! It's literally Never too late. Plus if you live in Georgia as of 2023 you can now go to college for FREE! If your not in Georgia, who knows, maybe your state has something similar. Good luck! (P.S. This state program called Amendment 23 if only for folks age 62 or older)

I have lived in Dallas and Detroit while finishing this program and graduate this December. SCAP program is absolutely worth it!! Good luck to everyone!!

@@armykayla9971 yes the program was fabulous. Couldn't have had a better college experience. Uncovered expenses depended on how many credits I did because the IRS caps how much free tuition we can get a year.. At most, out of pocket a year was 2k, but that was more my senior year when I took 18 credits for spring, summer and fall.

3.0 GPA or an ACT score of at least 24, you need 2 years of foreign language and yes you can still apply for grants and FAFSA

Hi so if we want to have 2 years of the college experience, can we do only 2 years online and then go back to regular in person learning and it still be covered? I hope that makes it sense

Is ASU through the SCAP program strictly online? Or are there also zoom classes where a professor speaks with you and you can interact?

To answer your question, starbucks only helps students to apply to the ASU online college , different than ASU in person college. So you can only get a degree online.. however, it is up to each professor to choose how they run the class; zoom meetings every class or modules.

They won’t do virtual because there are a significant amount of out of state students with a time difference. I took classes for 2 years and none of them were live zoom or virtual. Just recorded lecture and interactive virtual labs. Even for physical education

if i do it online with the starbucks program, then can i live in a dorm over there and do i get to have a graduation ceremony with the rest of the graduates?

Yes you can live in the dorms but it’s not covered under the SCAP program

would you still be able to qualify even if you’ve already started at ASU? this is my first semester and i’m thinking about working at starbucks in January 2021. would i still be able to be in the SCAP program if i’ve already done 1 semester at ASU or no?

Hi Lexie! I’m in college at the moment and I’ve been working at Starbucks for about 5 months now. I have a question for how long Starbucks covers our college tuition. I’m 17 and I’ve only finished one semester so far. I still need another year and a half to get my associates and 2 more years for my bachelors. Will the SCAP cover 3 years and a half of my tuition? Or is it only to get your bachelors degree and I have to finish my associates degree first?

You need to have an associates or do pathway admission to complete courses to qualify which you might have to pay out of pocket but Starbucks will cover 4 years which about 90 or so credits give or take. You can ask permission for a few credits with documentation if you go over but within reason and it has to be for one bachelors degree so dont take to many courses that are not a requirement for your major. That is what happened to me cause I had a general studies associates degree for a community college that constituted a lot of credits so I ran over the limit by 6 or so credits so had get approval before enrolling for the couple of classes I needed to graduate with my bachelors from asu. Hope this helps
