How I Found my Deities║Witchcraft

Over my time practicing witchcraft, I have met a lot of people worried about finding deities, about not finding them fast enough, about them not being the deities they first expected and those worried about not being able to practice witchcraft without deities.
So this small video is a little about my personal deities, how I found them and how I work with them, to show that there is no one way to find deities and that many people find them different ways and some people take longer to find them than others.

My matron Goddess, Hecate, sought me out in much the same way. I just woke up one day with her name in my head. I’d done Classics at uni so I knew a bit about her but I was suddenly seized by a mad urge to find out EVERYTHING about her. This coincided with me starting to do a lot of spirit work in my practice. She’s firm, but fair, compassionate without soppiness and I adore her.

Maybe try looking at it as looking for ascended masters to work with instead of some sort of ethereal god/goddess. I work with my spirit guides instead, they just happen to be Orishas (African gods). This works better for me...we also have a more equal type of relationship...they aren't "above" me.

Regarding being drawn to a goddess I've always prayed to Bast as I have strong connections to Ancient Egypt. I have a large Bast statue in the hallway by my front door. I put her there to guard the door. I burn incense in front of her and put crystals at her feet. I often hear cats in places where cats shouldn't be but normally put it down to passed on pets. Then one night she came to me in my dream in cat form. We spoke telepathically and only I could hear her. My partner was with me in the dream. We were stood outside a gate to a temple and I could see a huge pond in the courtyard. She lowered her head and I knew what she meant. I told my partner that she has given us her blessing to play in the water garden. Another night I woke up to use the bathroom and a voice said to me (I have clairaudience) "You are daughter of the cat people, of wisdom and knowledge." So I believe your goddess or god will communicate you when they are ready. I was blown away when this happened.

I love hearing stories of how people find and connect with their deities. I've thought about working with and seeking out certain deities, but I've never really connected with ones I've researched. I had never even thought of Brigid until a few weeks ago when I learned she was associated with Imbolc. These last few weeks preparing for the holiday have been so nice and I swear I've been feeling her presence. I'm thinking of researching her over the next few days and seeing if I connecting with her even after the holiday has passed.

I did a god/goddess meditation hoping to connect with a goddess because the feminine is an energy I’ve always struggled with within myself and Odin just showed up and I was like “Oh....hello....sir” and he continues to be with me to ground me and remind me everything will be okay

I believe that bastet is my deity. Though I want to confirm it. I told my friends a story that went like this: Cause when I was like 3 I went to the museum of science and discovery and got a bastet statue and I praised the hell out of it and always wanted it to be on display and treated it with care. I didn't realize it was bastet until last night I just loved it because it was a kitty. One of them said "maybe bastet is your deity" and I actually said "hmm that actually just feels right every time I think about it" and i want to confirm. Im so nervous and new to all this. The thought of a god or goddess wanting to work with me gets me all nervous since talking to others in general makes me shy and anxious. I really want to know.

However in the past years, Brigid has came though and more stronger than Freya, I feel she is my matron Goddess. Yo this is a bit cray, but I'm still literally starting and just researching my way into witchcraft, quite unorganizedly too, and I was just wondering about deities and was kinda doing a bit of research on deites I'm interested in. I know I'm not supposed to yet because I'm still starting, but it was more like a "just in case". Then last night I had a super vivid dream. I was looking out a window and I saw my crush/friend going outside to sleep in a sleeping bag, then there was thunder but no lightning. I looked up at the sky and it was fairly clear except for a few strings if clouds (it was nighttime too), then the clouds sorta went to a vacuum position (like when water goes down the drain), then it opened up at the middle and there was a circle of pointy teeth revealing itself from the sky. Then the being fell down to the garage and ate my friend alive. I've been trying to interpret it that maybe it was just my brain pooping out an anxiety like the Coronavirus thing, but it felt too vivid and the sky thing was way too off for it just to be me being afraid of the virus. I wasn't even afraid at all. Anyways, I told said friend about this and tried to get a picture similar to the creature in the dream and got the result Azathoth, a blind god from Lovecraft's Cthulu mythos. I'm still trying to figure out other possible meanings and interpretations for the dream I had but could it be a sign or nah? It did feel off, like something my brain wouldn't normally just form, the sky scene. Plus, I am very attached to the idea of dreams and studying them. Apparently Azathoth is the creator of the universe in this bizarre way that "the universe only exists in his dreams and he must slumber for eternity to keep its existence" way, which kinda makes sense but is also super bizarre since it's too convenient.

I'm new to Wicca, I'm 51 I don't like the term baby witch. I found my deity through tarot. Every time I did a reading for myself I got the moon card, this went on for months. My friend and I did some spells and mine worked. I write books for fun, my main character was a Wicca. I knew nothing about Wicca and after doing some research it spoke to me, so I looked up goddesses because of the moon card and found Brigit, the goddess of many things but also creativity. She also the maiden connected to Spring, I was born in Spring. I thought my spirit guides were showing me my Deity. Leading me to wicca.

Cernunnos kinda forced himself in my head before I even knew who he was shows a shadowy outline of a man with deer horns and elk howling and this happened for months til I got the courage to look it up, now he shows up once in a while in dreams. Which I call him Woodsmen, and he will sit and talk with me like a odd, wise, funny hippie uncle. Isis is because I have always love epygtian mythos and I have a great respect for her and it feels natural working with her though sadly I have not met her yet.

I found my deities in a less interesting way. When I heard about deities, I searched up some deities that relate to my practice (green witch). I came across Hekate, the goddess of magick and spells. And Dionysus, the god of fertility and vegitation. I didn't resonate with dionysus as much since he is the god of wine and I'm a child. I did a third eye meditation and called on any deities that are near. The next day, I saw a flock of crows near me and the sun. everywhere. I pulled the knight of rods who has a crown of laurel. And the hunger games was on. I thought those were signs from apollo but I kind of ignored them. Later, I read a passage about apollo 13 and now, apollo 13, the movie was on. So I worship Hekate and Apollo.

Glad to hear u work with these two amazing deities. I work with them too. But I think Cerridwen has a bright and luminous side, reflected in her maternal instint. She is the keeper of the Cauldron and Awen, so she can be very creative and inspirational too. I don't see her as an agressive energy at all. In my case, Cerridwen is my Matron Goddess and I have a very close relationship with her, as a guide, a teacher and a initiator in the misteries of Awen. In the other hand, Brigid is more an ally especially in developing my inner power, her fire and energy is so powerfull; I connect with her warrior side. Blessings!

My deities seem to approach me in my dreams. There are 3 deities(Athena, Bastet, & Demeter) who have made themselves known(so-to-speak) outside of my dreams. I know lately that there's been some type of "pull" going on, but I don't know whether it is the deities in my dreams trying to contact me outside of dreams or if something bad is about to happen(nature wise). I do know that when I do a meditation/raising energy, the deities are able to use that for dream contact with no problem. Any contact outside of the dreams is met with some type of blockage of unknown origins. I did manage to do a couple of self tarot readings a few years ago & the feeling/message I got, was that my mother has something to do with it... There is another deity that has seem to be able to bypass the blockage in some way or another in order to make contact with me. It is a Norse male deity, but one that a lot of people don't like because of the stories written by certain monks(P.S. he does however have a big fan girl/guy following thanks to the Marvel Universe).

First off, Love your videos. The way you put out information is awesome. What I was really hoping to find out from this video, if it's not too personal, is why you would work with a deity? I understand they called to you. I understand they offered/offer help in your craft, and hopefully even help you identify areas of growth that you could undertake. But the thought process, or belief system, that would compel someone to allow a deity as intimate a connection as the intertwining of energies during spell work allows, let alone worship them, is something that eludes me. I really wish to see someone else's point of view/motivation on that subject.

Thank you for this video! I'm just starting with my practice (a baby witch, if you'll see it) and I'm grateful that Brigid also called to me, which makes sense because most of my practices involve cooking and food magick. Ive no plans in including deity-work but she just called to me, albeit in a different way: every time I would think of her, she would leave coins in my path. I also have a different way of relationship with her, yet I also see her as a motherly figure (she stepped in and offered help while I was in the middle of a clearing spell, which was sweet💙). I dont offer to her on a daily basis, but i do light a candle for her at least once a week, which I consider as a gift rather than an offering. I consider her as a close friend rather than a deity, and I treat her as if we had known each other for quite a while. 😊 I hope I can meet other deities whom I can share a similar bond as I continue my practice. Blessed be!

It's interesting to hear how other people find their deities. I stumble upon mine mostly by accident. There are only two I really wanted to work with when I started to work with deities. Shiva and Odin, but I found them admirable from the start, for similar and dissimilar reasons (Shiva for some reason really resonates with me spiritually and Odin's wisdom has been a driving force behind why I do witchcraft). Everyone else I either found out about through dreams and meditation or I just stumbled upon them in research (and if I knew about them before, I would find new information that would make me change my perspective on the deity). In fact I kind of started to work with an entity that most consider a folk saint but I would consider either an angel or deity because she showed up in a dream of mine, talked to me directly and I felt a connection to her.

Suddenly the tree outside my window died and we had to chop it down and suddenly I just started feeling better as there’s so much sunlight coming in now. My aunt has been going on and on how we’re getting so much sun now. Of course who drops by but good old Sunny-D, Apollo. I’ve only started working with him but i can tell that’s working extremely hard with everyone through out all of this.

Another witch KZreadr that I subscribe to posted a video about working with Hecate and suddenly I felt things click. I read comments and stories about how Hecate reaches out to you. I was meditating for hours and asking her if she wanted to work with me and she said yes, but not alone. The name Athena flowed into my head when I felt a breeze. I pulled an affirmation card about balance and my candle had two wicks. It was a sign and I knew that Hecate and Athena both had found me. That night, I woke up when I heard a branch loudly falling on my roof. The name "Hecate!" popped into my hear and I sat upright. I felt a pull down the hallway so I got up. I found that I had left my fairy lights on my Christmas tree on half the night and it could have been unsafe. I have Hecate to thank for that. I knew from that point on, this was the path for me.

I swear I have a very similarly story for how I came to find Ganesh sounds just as strange out loud. Lol. About 4-5 years ago, I became obsessed with elephants just out of the blue for seemingly no particular reason. It was odd bc I’ve always loved owls and octopi/octopuses and those were my animals I sought out for anything from home decor to jewelry or clothing. And suddenly, everything became elephants. I had progressively been learning and practicing more and more back then and it really was the thing that helped me during some of the hardest and darkest times in my life and it helped me to overcome crippling anxiety and depression. Then I came across Ganesh somewhere and learned that Ganesh assisted in overcoming obstacles and I knew that my deity had found me when I needed it. I typically don’t work with any deities either, but I feel rather connected to Ganesh after that.

I’ve been devoted to Bríg for two years now. On Imbolc in 2019 I decided to just research the goddess that Imbolc surrounds, and BAM! Brigid literally took over my life in such a nice way. I literally began researching everything about her. I personally follow Brigid of Ireland, but have researched Bride and Brigantia as well as Maman Brigitte. Coincidentally, I was raised Catholic and St. Brigid was my patron Saint. So she’s been here a while lol. She feels like a homecoming for me, like when you sit around a bonfire with friends and family. She’s shaped my life on her anvil so many times, which isn’t always fun, but she’s such a bright and shining light.

Just had a huge urge a month ago about reading books about Paganism. I hate reading books, and never finished a book in my life, and I'm VERY agnostic. The book, Path to Paganism grabbed my attention and I cannot stop reading it. One night I had a silly dream about building a black barrier to prevent chickens from being burned by the hot sun reflecting off my white fence. During that dream, it went dark (no image like a light bulb that burned out). Then a strange neutral (not to male, not to female) voice kept on saying Artemis over and over for a good hour it felt like. I responded, "WTF is an Artemis! Screw it, I'll look it up tomorrow". It said "NO!!!" and continued to chant "Artemis Artemis Artemis" for what seemed like a very long time. Drove me crazy!!!! But I was persistent to keep on trying to sleep. Then I woke up as if I took a caffeine pill (a very positive feel-good feeling). The voice clearly stated, " Artemis....I am your God". I looked Artemis up and found that I looked up Archimedes by mistake LOL. When I found her in the google search, I was just floored and excited. Not sure why she called herself a God instead of a Goddess, but I don't care. The point was received and have been super excited and happy since then. I used to be very anxious about my eventual death (almost died twice from extensive pulmonary emboli from a Kickboxing leg injury), but now I feel okay about it like Artemis took away that fear. Still not sure why she picked me, a male, but she'll let me know. All I can think to honor her for her time in contacting me is to study her history. I don't feel I know how to pray or meditate, but I like the idea of talking to her (in my head) like a friend or sister and make an altar. Thank you for reading this, and a special thank you for the video. It makes me feel better about my experience that you had a similar experience.

My patron is Ra. I have regular communication with him and honor him, but I don’t work with him too much. I don’t call out to them and if their name is even mentioned in passing, even if I’m not the one saying it, they’ll appear in front of me like, “👀Who’s talking about me??” They have always come to me, even when I’m not practicing... and I know it’s them because they appear in front of me and I can hear them, and feel if it’s them or not. The ones I work with lately is Freya and sometimes Hela. I do work with other ones from time to time, but those are the ones I’ve been actively working with. Deities, although the experience can be rewarding, can be exhausting so my advice to beginner witches is to NOT call out to them. They will come to you if they want to work with you. You’ll know if they do.

one day i had the strongest urge to go outside and stare at the moon. and since that day everyday i’ve had urges to go outside in nature and be out and go on walks at night, and really only at night. i had been interested in deities for a while. but wasn’t actively looking for one in specific. when i would go out on these night walks i felt a strong protection coming from the moon, mother like protection. & i felt like the moon was trying to talk to me. i felt a really strong connection to it. mind you i was severely depressed at the time it was a marcial that i even stepped foot outside for a walk considering i no motivation. i looked up moon goddesses & Artemis stuck with me. i’ve realized that she’s actually been reaching out to me for a while. i’ve recently had a dream of a crescent moon . & jus a lot of things aligned . i now have an altar for her & done a ritual for her. i’ve felt happier, motivated & whole since.

Two winters ago, on a Yule holiday week, I was preparing the Yule log and writing runes on it, for blessings and luck for the following year. Suddenly, I felt a strong booming presence that took the whole house, I shook in fear, it was Odin the Allfather who appeared, he demanded to be acknowledged and ask me to put his rune symbol on the Yule log, and respect the holiday's origins ( I researched later, the runes and Yule/Jul are very strongly associated with him). It was completely unexpected surprise. He did the same thing the next winter, the same strong presence, he showed me his true face in a very strong vision, half in darkness with no eye and half in silver moonlight as a old man with gaunt face with white hair and beard, piecing icy-blue one eye, and Norse horned helmet. The following spring season of this year, he told me to buy Smokey Quartz runes on Etsy, to communicate and work with him. He kept pushing the Etsy runes images in my head for a whole month, then I brought them. He can be very pushy and demanding if I'm not doing it the way he wants. He told me to use grey candles and raven statues to honor him on my altar. I noticed he is a god of death, battle, divination, poetry, and shamanism. I have strong ties to shamanism (I can travel between spaces) and many near-death experiences. I play divination on daily basis (tarot, oracle, runes, etc.). Also, I noticed another death goddess is interested in me lately - tapping at my door to speak......but I'm too scared to work with her, but working up my courage slowly. I'm doing my best to respect her presence. She is known as the dark goddess of liminal spaces, witchcraft, magic, death, moon, necromancy, hearth/household.....and many mutli-layerd things.....the lovely Hecate. I have an strong interest in all of those things. I'm very drawn to the Black Madonna and Mary Magdalene as deities.

This is actually so interesting! Cerridwen did to me what Brighid did to you, and like you, I thought it was just coincidence or just my brain being weird! Three years ago, I even just randomly (I know now not randomly) decided to name a DnD character after her without even knowing who she was/that she even existed. And now that I've been researching her, the experiences of my game character mirror a lot of her lore, which is just *wild.* I'm glad you found them in the same way I did, everyone else I've heard of said they'd gotten like dreams or other signs and I was feeling like... Maybe I'm wrong? But I don't think I am. :)

Brigid recently came to me as a deity (on Imbolc of all days). I'm a kitchen/hearth/green witch so I decided to honor that this Imbolc and I went with more fiery colors on my altar rather than white. Then I had this feeling of like...a motherly figure being really pleased with her young child (me) and I realized that perhaps she was calling to me this year. Before then, I really only had a relationship with Inari.

I practiced for two years before I had a matron goddess. I never felt right trying to pick one out. I felt it was like walking up to a stranger on the street and informing them that they were your new BFF. Instead, I just kept asking if anyone was interested in working with me. And then I waited. And waited. And waited. About a year later, Hekate came to me and told me to follow her. I like this approach because the god(desse)s can take a good look at you and determine if your personality and skill set are a good match for what they are trying to teach.

tip for the hard headed who have trouble sensing and feeling presence or deities: meditate for 10 minutes using a simple 10 meditation, after you're relaxed and in a chill state of mind, visualize yourself in the presence of a deity you're interested in, as vividly as you can. if you can then easily imagine having your love or appreciation for your devotion/offerings returned, might be a good one. highly recommend reading about bhakti yoga for this, too. its a devotional yoga practice and its really helpful for building relationships with deities. its also a beautiful practice in its own right

my patron is janus, roman god of beginnings, transition, and duality. he came to me either right before or just as something really big and bad happened to me 4-5 years ago that sparked a big transition in my life. i know now it was to warn me and assure me that i wasn't alone when i needed it most. he made himself very apparent, as prior to my being called to by him i didn't know much abt paganism or signs from a deity, so he really had to get bold for me to realize something out of the ordinary was happening and for me to look into it haha. if not for him i wouldnt have gotten into all this. i'm very grateful for him, he's been with me ever since. i worship/work with others now too, but he's definitely my number one.

I suddenly decided I wanted to grow a mushroom garden and work harder with the herbs and plants I had been gifted in my yard. Then I went around identifying new plants like I usually do... went to dig up common greenbrier and lo and behold I was sadly but, happily gifted the mushroom of immortality. (sad because that mushroom grows on dying hard woods, turns out my tree has a common parasitic disease that they are having trouble with out here :( It took me hours to identify as I had zero knowledge of mushrooms. Turns out I had a fairy ring too. I got a calling from Fauna. It was a calling so hard I got this overwhelming energy within and around me that no joke brought tears to my eyes. It was CRAZY! Flung myself into hard research and was very disappointed that there is not much about her. She hung around until I noticed the tree. She pops in and out from time to time. Got one from Pan which made me nervous, not gonna lie. And his energy was REALLY strong! I don't know who it was but, I was heavily praying one day and said how I would never harm anyone. and a voice said:" She doesn't want to harm anyone, that's no fun." and whatever energy that was is how do I say not gone but, further away? Like it's waiting for me when I'm ready? I make sure I am learning all aspects the good and the bad because you cannot have the light without the dark. There must always be a balance. Diana too who has always appeared in and out of my life over the years. When I first started officially practicing witchcraft it was Venus I consecrated tools and such too. But, strangely recently it's been Aphrodite calling. Same thing. The name. It's odd how certain counter parts come around. I suddenly wanted more feathers because they are so beautiful and I love the birds. Oddly they have never dropped feathers in my yard that I have seen. (I feed the birds) But, recently the mourning doves have gifted me feathers. I can say that I have had many other deities pop in and out but, as I am new it's as if they are all waiting for me to learn more first. My current ones are teaching me and helping to guide me down the path that is most suited for me and I couldn't be more grateful. Now I just have to do more for them. That's currently where I'm at, lol I have been working with the elements for a couple of years and not really deities so deities coming around is something that just suddenly started happening almost a year ago. And I feel very connected to the earth so I have always given my respects to mother earth.

I can't remember if it was 2014 or 2015 but after performing my Imbolc ceremony on one of those years i began looking into semitic paganism out of curiosity. After looking at a list of Deities i said one of they're names out loud to make sure I understood the pronunciation. After saying her name out loud i felt a gentle almost feathery tug at my heart and i immediately reached out to one of my more experienced pagan friends and asked her what it means when you get a reaction like that. She told me that it usually means that said Deity is reaching out to you and recommend that i listen for more instructions. The Deities name is Asherah and she has been apart of my life ever since.

I found two of my deities (Persephone and Hades) when after awakening I became drawn or interested in blogs with witches working them. I didn't get any special signs or voices and I was wondering if I was just forcing it because I've been interested in their story since elementary school. So out of curiosity I went to a youtube video that did a which God or Goddess is calling you (two separate videos by Alyssa Marie) and I got tingling sensations when picking my cards. And Persephone was the first card to pop up in which Goddess was trying to contact me 😂. So I had a tarot conversation with her and she was really nice and she also mentioned that Hades also wanted to work with me (he's a lot more noticeably warm and mild tingles. Not as much tingles as his wifey). And funny thing is that when I was talking with my friends and I was asking him questions on their behalf, majority of the time the tarot cards that would pop up made more sense for them than with me (I've learned he's the kind of deity who makes the one asking the question the main interpreter. A lot of the time I was just the messenger 😂).

My Deity Hestia, came to me outside in a form of shadows and gave my quite a fright and i mentioned this to my friend and they asked me to ask if it was a goddess and it said yes which i was surprised because the figure was a male but not going to question it too much. I went outside and talked to her and she said she didn't mean to fright me and she wanted me to bake so i talked to her and baked. I made an little alter for her of a tiny rose drawing and a bundle of wild flowers surrounded by white stones. I don't work with her because I'm not ready but she said we could talk for now which is amazing, I just have to fix her alter because it was discreet on a small table but we painted the house and it got destroyed :( I'll try to find a new place for the alter. I'm a baby witch also, I've been practicing for like 5-6 days now so I was quite surprised she came to me so soon. It looks like she wants me to do something because this video was recommended so maybe I'll go and try to fix her alter. She also took my rose drawing I did for her which is amazing.

the way you speak about Cerridwen is EXACTLY the way i speak about The Morrigan. Ive had many instances where i would be doing a working and she would show up and literrally Slap the shit out of me being all: WHAT IN ALL THE SEVEN HELLS ARE YOU DOING? I want you to do THIS instead. Alot of the time, my rituals would COMPLETELY take a turn from the start. I would start the working having a specific idea in mind and Morrigan would just completely change it and i would end the ritual way off from what i had planned and envisioned. and honnestly, it always turned out better and more powerfull. I also work with Hestia, which is kinda like Bridgid in your case. More kind, more watching over. BUT MORRIGAN KICKS THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYTHING LIKE BITCH IM HERE AND THE SHOW CAN START. Ive also had many instances where i would plan a protection against someone, Hestia comes in, tells me in doing great and to keep going t it, leaves, and then Morrigan shows up, slaps me and the next thing i know, im skyclad, binding a poppet in a coffin. Ahhhhh the wonders of polar opposite deities xD

I still don't work too much with deities. I have always been very interested in the duotheistic view in Wicca and I still follow the "old ones" even though I am not necessarily Wiccan. In my practice, I work with primordial Goddess and primordial God. I see personified deity ultimately as aspects of Goddess and God. I see them as parental, brother/sister, grandmother/grandfather, lovers...all of my human experience I believe is the result of their union. As a gay person, I can still find complete solace in this heterosexual duality. Because ultimately at the end of the day, I think we are all brought into this world by male and female energies and regardless of how we identify, we still live in a world of masculine and feminine energies. I have seen many people denote the idea of fem/masc balance and imply that it is rigid and non-inviting to LGBTQ...to me I find the contrary. I believe that their union, which manifested all planes (spiritual and physical), created dynamics in nature throughout (human beings included) that are meant for celebration. That from the union of their polarity, all experiences are unfolding in a dynamic and diverse way. It's like all of nature as we know it is a rainbow, and at each either end of the rainbow is black or white. Without both light and shadow color would not be possible... But it is because they [Goddess and God] are a unified whole Just thought I would share my views!

I was talking to other witches about their patron deities. They were all Greek or Norse pantheon. I was casually researching deities of lakes because I am a water witch, and the name Thoth kept forcing itself into my head. It was odd. So I started vetting through asking questions and for signs and let’s just say it’s clear to me. Thoth (or Djehuty) is the patron of scribes and wisdom, and all my life I’ve wanted to be a writer and a teacher. I am both a teacher and a published author. When I realized it was him I felt this… incredible presence that even as a writer I find hard to describe.

Kali maa . Mother Kali. She’s my matron she at first was like get with the shits. Do your work . Meditate slay things that don’t serve you. No whiny BS and I was actually scared of her because as soon as she entered and I didn’t know anything , didn’t create any boundaries because again, I didn’t know any better , my life for two weeks was awful. I was trying to ignore her until I found more research . She doesn’t really want in on my craft as much as she does for me to improve myself and meditations and stuff what I get from her is I NEED to do these things before my Magick can be as best it can. Which is extremely helpful.

Diana came to me ,I can't remember how but I went to the thrift store and asked Diana to please let me find some things for her altar. I found a picture of Diana from a gallery in San Francisco, and a large painting of a heron, one of her symbols, with a very large moon in it. Tell me the chances of that especially since I live in a tiny town where I can't imagine anyone having those things! It blew my mind!

Welsh Pagan here and I work with Ce rridwen and Briant (Brigid). Briant has a river named after her in North Wales. Cerridwen is motherly for me as my mother passed when I was a teenager.

Freya sent me damselflies and they chilled on my arm for like over and hour so I googled what gods or goddesses are related to damselflies and the second I read about Freyja I felt a really deep connection, we have a lot in common and it’s been really nice to communicate with her so far
