I am glad I found you and this fix. It was precisely the problem with my 2012 Buick Lacrosse. Your video has saved me $$$. I am not a handy person nor good at mechanical. As shown, I bought the part from the dealer and had an auto body shop swap out the fan. All codes and problems have been cleared and fixed. The car now runs very well. Thank you again for sharing. I appreciate your kindness.

@@JVFIXLLC if it's around $500 and no more than 1k, I wouldn't mind investing on a tool that's going to be useful. I appreciate the info. Also, I came across your video because I had the code P0AC4 on a 2014 Cadillac ELR. Should I start at the battery pack fan as well?

Hi, i have the same DTC P0AC4 my car a 2012 Buick lacrosse 2.4 hybrid it randomly gets under charging the battery and it randomly shows 12.5 to 14v till the point to almost shutting down, I've put a new battery thinking it was the problem but still makes the same. What failure was that car showing? Is it possible for my car to have the same problem? Im gonna check that fan anyways, but I'll be glad if you could answer my question and give me some feedback. Thank you a lot Sorry for my English, I'm still practicing

yea if you have that code it will be the issue the fan you can remove the back cover and turn on the car and see if it spins it should be spinning all time to keep the battery pack cool. and your English is perfect.

I have a 2013 malibu hybrid Im getting no start no crank. I replaced the entire hybrid battery assembly with modules and im still getting no start no crank. New 12v battery as well. Codes now present are P0ac4 P062f tcm long term performance U0284 active grille shutter HELP please im dumping so much money. Do i need to relearn or flash ecm because i changed hybrid battery assembly? Would the active grille shutter have anything to do with no start?

  • @JVFIXLLC

the P0AC4 means that the fan for the hybrid battery pack is not working, the code P062F is a bit more serious meaning the Engine control module has internal fault and that could be your issue but usually this code sets when the 12v battery has been low on voltage ⚡️ for a long time. what scanner are you using to scan the car

ok first you have to check if the fan for the battery pack is spinning that fan is located at the trunk right behind the seats and if it spins i am afraid that your battery pack cells might be shorted internally.

@@JVFIXLLC OMG. You're too far, I'm in Dallas, TX. Can't even drive 30 min, before the 12V battery runs dead, and there's nobody that works on those hybrids around my neighborhood. I've already replaced the alternator/generator, still not charging. So I'm thinking on replacing the generator control module, I've read that that's what controls the current going to either the 12V battery or to the 115 High Voltage system

@@A-cu8ic ended up being a certain part forget the name of it but its a part of the hybrid battery, something module. You can’t really replace just that part because then you have to reprogram the whole car. So i just went to junk yard got the entire hybrid battery for $500 easy replacement like 8 screws and like 5 terminal connections and fixed the issue. Aslong as the hybrid battery you buy is not new but used and off the sane type of vehicle it does not need programming just plug n go. Hope this helps

@@trustnoneselfmade7125 I'm no expert, but I don't think that has nothing to do with the battery not charging, I'm having the same issue with my 12 Lacrosse, I've already ruled out the generator and not sure how exactly this system works but I think my issue is going to be in the back where the battery pack is at. And i think right next to it is the generator control module which i think is bad. I know there was a recall for that year model for that part but I'm not sure if they will repair at this point.
