I have never understood how men create litters of kids and move on to create more. My father has 8 or 9 daughters by 4 or 5 women. He was a part of late 1970s Black Muslim movement. He and my mother married and had me and then my sister. By the time I was 4, he vanished from my life. The next time I saw him was when I searched for him 21 years later to give me away at my wedding. I had always had a fantasy about having my father in my life. Our first 6 months of being reconnected to one another were intoxicating... like a whirlwind. Until a year passed and he went on to berate me for not wishing him a happy Father’s Day. As if I was used to observing such a holiday. After 21 years of silence from him, I had long stopped thinking of Father’s Day as a holiday that related to me. But he was livid when I did not wish him a happy Father’s Day. Even at our most reconnected, after 21 years of lost contact, the closest my father felt to me was like a close male friend. It was the strangest feeling... to look at the man who gave me half of my genetic code...but only feel like he was a close male friend. After he exploded in rage at my failure to wish him a happy Father’s Day, our relationship soon fizzled. Dads who are No Shows in their children’s lives are the worst. I’m so thankful that my husband is a phenomenal father to our children and a spectacular husband to me. I’m so happy for my children that they get to blossom in the warm glow of their Papa’s love.

Sonow What that's crazy how your dad acted. Is all contact completely severed? I stopped reaching out to my dad after numerous ignored and unreturned calls. Whatever.

I'm SO GLAD you're regularly uploading videos again, Elle. You were one of the first ppl I listened to when I started watching you tube back in 2010 and I have benefited so much from your wisdom ❤️

Yeah, YT gave back my monetization so I might as well try to keep it. Hopefully I'll find some inspiration for new videos.

Thanks you. This isn't a repost. I just took it off private. My channel isn't popular enough to get 7000 views in a matter of hours. I don't know why KZread treated some of my videos like new uploads when I took them off private.

I think most children that were born out of an affair almost never has a close relationship with their father. Its rather an unfair reality.

Didn't you say that you lived in Sarasota Florida on another video a while back? I am asking because I used to live there and since it ain't that many black people there I was wondering if I actually knew you or at least seen you at one time or another.

Fighting is happening because people are getting upset about certain videos about the other sex talking about who cause the problem in the black community. The female perspective is clashing with the male perspective. However, they are channels that are bringing facts to the table, but they are not bringing solutions which is harder.

I'm sure your father wasn't ready to be a father or just didn't want kids by your mother. This can probably explain his absence or disinterested in being a father. This why people should have children by people who actually want children if you care anything about your children..Forcing someone to be a father will only cause resentment..This goes for all races of men.You should want someone at their best.

He already was a father of 2 and he already had a wife. According to my ma, I was a planned pregnancy for both parties but his motives for having a child with my mom was to have an excuse to have continued access to my ma.
