How I Feed My Twins (my journey with breastfeeding, pumping and feeding twins)

Thank you SO much for being here and sharing this journey with me! I hope you guys enjoy hearing my story of where I started and ended up with feedings almost 11 months after having my twins! It’s been a long road with lots of twists and turns but I am grateful to be where we ended up. Hopefully this is helpful to any new moms, expectant moms and other twin moms!!

Woth my triplets My nursing journey was very short. I tried to tandem feed a few time and it is no joke. I ultimately decided to exclusively pump after finding out my one daughter had a cleft palate making it physically impossible for her to nurse. I could have continued with the other 2, but that would have meant nursing 2, bottle feeding 1 with feeding difficulties and then pumping after that. And that triple feeding sounded like a lot. I sometimes wish I would have worked on Breastfeeding more, but know I made the best decision for us. You are such a champion. And I know it feels so amazing when you have those proud victories!!

You're an awesome mom and you're doing great! Breastfeeding is definitely not easy for every mom and baby. I related a lot to this though I just had a single baby to feed. I went back and forth from nursing and pumping but ended up having to exclusively pump because my baby just couldn't latch well enough to get enough milk out.Thank you for sharing this with us!!

Katherine thank you so much for the encouragement and reminder that our babies just need to be healthy and happy however that is. My first daughter was only breastfed for a couple weeks then exclusively formula and I never thought I'd be able to get through the process again. Hearing other people's stories helps cope with that and decided I had a second chance at it. Here I am a month and a half in and nursing 90% of the time(still supplementing)! God is good ❤️.

It's so worth it to try something that didn't work out before with feeding. I couldn't figure out how to breastfeed sitting up until my son sat on his own. Then it was pretty easy 💖

Was so excited for this video! First time mom here, expecting our twin boys some time within the next month or so and having stress dreams about nursing twins and just like my ability to be able to take care of them both, especially when my husband is at work and I’m alone! Not that I am not over the moon about our two little ones, but juggling the needs of two newborns is so intimidating! Thank you for sharing!

@@KatherineCimorelli thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. I keep having to remind myself when I catch myself worrying about money, or nursing or any of the other worries that come with being a new parent, that God wouldn’t bless us just to leave us on our own, he’s gonna provide just as He always does!

Question, I have not enjoyed pumping at all. My baby is about 3 and a half months. How did you find a pump that works for you? What was the journey like? I have tried manual pumping, maybe I should give electric a try?
