How I Ended Up Being Abused By A Married Woman

Ойын-сауық

Today's guest is Justin Woodbury, who will tell us about growing up in a church cult and being sexually abused by his mother's friend, a married lady. He eventually gathered the courage to tell his father, but what happened next?

We don't express ourselves and deal with issues because we are raised to know that nobody actually cares. We process things internally because we are the only person we can trust. Good women are halfway screwed. The hoes always make themselves available. I believe this is why we now have a bunch of fellas who decided they're ladies. Ladies have it made and men are screwed. This happens from the ground up thru the legal system. More men need to recognize what they are before they can be open about themselves. We have been trained to forget that we are the most dangerous critter in the world. Once we get that back and women start acting like they actually want to l, we will be better off

Predatory behavior by women has unfortunately been weirdly romanticized in our culture when it is just as wrong and damaging as men preying on young girls. Unacceptable. I'm so sorry to hear you dealt with this. I am so glad to hear about how your father handled this impossible situation and how he respected your wish but encouraged you to help stop a predator from taking other victims....but wow. No counseling, making a victim apologize to an adult....I'm sadly not surprised to hear that the fallout was bungled horribly by the church.

I feel like young boys being sexually abused by older women are very common. My husband told me he first had sex at 14 with an older woman. In his eyes he is a man. But it completely messed up his head and how he views women and sex. It's so sad. There should be more awareness on this topic.

@CANADIAN UKRANIAN who is the vicitm in this situation? The young boy. Who was the commenter talking about? Specific group of grown men. What are these specific men claiming? That young boys should enjoy being raped. Why? Because those men have probably never experienced it and had fantasies growing up of possibly having sex with a hot teacher. Or they have gone through the same experience and were shamed or gaslighted to believe that it was something positive. So how is a comment of someone DISAGREEING with the grown men victim blaming? Victim blaming is putting the responsibility/blame of safety onto the victim. The commenter obviously doesn't think it's okay for a grown woman to rape or sexually assault a young boy. Reading comprehension is important. I hope you do a better job at listening to understand at work.

He driving around in wooded areas where there was no houses until he found a spot to force himself on me. I ended fighting him off and getting away but I held this story in for years. Which led to spiral out control. It wasn't till almost forty. When I told someone. By that time I was suffering from PTSD. Which is known as post truamdic stress syndrome. I found my 38 year old husband spooning with his 16 year old niece. His brother had just died and he was "comforting her". Did it infront of pretty much his whole family. They didn't know we had just had sex. Totally disgusting. I left and divorced him. Church going Christians. He refused to finalize the divorce for 2 years and then died of a heart attack. Found out he had a warrant out for molesting his friends 7 year old daughter. I thought we were supposed to expose evil when we see it and not condone it. I was a school bus driver...had I stayed with him he would have ruined my reputation along with everything else. I had to go back to truck driving because I couldn't sustain myself financially on a school bus salary. I miss those days and I miss those kids who are now grown up with families of their own. We had a few troubles pop up aswell. A coach had a year long sexual affair with a 15 year old student. Dude was 30 with a wife and kids. There's like predators EVERYWHERE... I used to want kids desperately and a family...but now I see in this world I would be worried frantically sick everyday about my kid. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

I had the best, most loving caring watchful parents and I can't count on both my hands the amount of people who sexually assaulted me from the time I was a toddler. While my parents were home. Fellow Michigander here. I am so sorry you went through this. Sexual immorality is high on the list of things that Christ doesn't condone. Yet, churches like this, shelter sexual predators and almost encourage the abuse. In my church every adult has a background check. If you have a shady past, the church is notified as a whole group. You are then required to always have a chaperone to make sure no funny business goes on, and to prevent false accusations. There is to be at least 2 adults present in every Sabbath school class or other children's ministry. We take protecting children and vulnerable adults seriously.

Your testimony is a blessing to so many boys and young men that have been shamed to silence. I hope this can reach them and possibly be the catalyst to begin the long hard work of healing that is possible for us all. Thank you so much for following the call of your spirit and expressing your experience so wonderfully clear and understandable.

I love that you share your story with such courage when I think back about being raped by a person that I did love and also as an abuser, it’s hard to say those two things in the same sentence, and make it make sense like I don’t even know what it sounds like to even say that out loud, but I know how it felt to trust somebody that you loved and they would constantly hurt you but you still loved him at one point now I’m grown and I’ve had therapy. It doesn’t ever change the fact that I didn’t feel like I had the courage to talk about that the way that you did praying for you and I’m proud of you.❤

The man's father was so close to handling this the right way. If only the Church had not had to be involved. Counseling might have benefited this man, but it would have had to be the right kind of Counseling. Other men have spoken up about being sexually abused, and then having the professional who was supposed to be helping them through it say the most asinine things, the most damaging things.

I remember being an alter server when I was in catholic school. We went on this yearly retreat to this really nice place. I remember one day our priest was in the pool playing with the other alter servers. Throwing them around and putting wrestling moves on them. I felt uncomfortable and he told me to come in and join them. I said no and walked away. It just seemed very inappropriate and I did not feel comfortable at all being with him alone. He would also play basketball with us. Imagine a 30 something year old 300 lb priest playing basketball with 12 year Olds. It just never sat right with me.
