Hello, a junior doctor who works 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday from 9 to 17, how many hours of locum starting at 17 is he allowed to do? Are there any particular limits about? Also, I wanted to know if the salaries you reported in the video are net or gross and, if they are gross, how much is the net hourly salary for locum. Thank you!

Hi Dr Kenji, I hope u can assist me on this problem. I am A fy1 doctor in UK. I have done a locum STD hrs 9-5pm. When i got my payslip they only paid me 2.5 hrs instead of 8hrs. ( 9-5pm.) Do u know why, or maybe tell me who do i refer this problem to? Thx in advance for your help.

@@DoctorKenji right, I see. And for the Information on rates in this video do you use a particular website to check rates at particular trusts instead of one that averages regions. Because after searching I found they all state £30/hr

Still not well paid. Brother did a Mmath degree at a top Russell group university and only 3 years out if university at only 24 is now making £85k at a quant fund in London. This should rise to around £160k-£200k i next 2 year with bonus and stock options.

@@shahrozkhalid3827 Masters of Mathematics. Integrated masters degree. Sits between a BSc but just below a MSc. Gets full funding. Any good University in Russell group - Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, Warwick are tier 1 but equally tier 2 Edinburgh, Durham, Bristol, York, UCL, Nottingham, Kings etc will get you there.

It’s pretax!

In 2 years time they will scrap the BMAT test for medicine and maybe use a different type of assignment.
