Amazing scenery! I live in California and you nailed the sandstone formations, never seen better geologic details on a layout. Really impressive and inspiring!
Very Impressive. Rock (Sandstone) is awesome, and the color is great. Killer work! I think I want to build one 🙂
Your techniques are incredible. Your attention to detail and your aesthetics are amazing. I do no know what kind of work you do in your normal life but I can be sure that you are extremely good at it. It is a true gift. Thanks for sharing it with us. When I start my layout again I know that I shall seek your counsel and your videos. Thanks again Kory (Korey or Cory).

Your tutorials are awesome Kory. I learn a lot from each one. My layout and I thank you!
Wow. I live in Las Vegas and your scenery looks amazingly like the Mojave Desert. It’s as though I’m driving I-15 to Los Angeles through towns like Primm and Baker. Superb.
Really nicely done!
Hi Kory, our good friend Roy Smith suggested we come over and take a look. I'm very impressed with your work and look forward to subscribing and viewing your videos as they come on line. Thanks for your efforts, creativity, and generosity. Dean from Minnesota

Great modeling! I used to live in the desert and this is very realistic. I do have a question. What color of paint did you paint your desert mountains in?

Hi Kory, I like the mixture of play sand and grout. The inclusion of the river bed gravel was a great idea. The scenery is looking great. Can’t wait for some bushes and grasses to be added. Maybe a cactus or two. Question... you had your little grader close by, why didn’t you put him to work on your gravel road? Oh wait a minute....they are probably union, so they were taking a break. 😂Thanks for sharing, see ya next time.
Great guide, thanks for sharing. Just wondering what the isopropyl alcohol is needed for?
Hi, I'm also doing a southern cali desert scenery and found your sandstone formations incredible. Good eye, the rock formations looks so much as the Cajon Pass. How did you create them?
Hi Kory it all looks awesome, you do the same technic I do as far as the alcohol and then the cement works really well...looks like you prefer the eye dropper over the spray???.gary

indeed..more control
Where did you get the cool looking hillside?
How does the underneath sand stay hard after the alcohol and scenic cement goes on top ?
How does the dirt stay put in place do you use spray glue
how do you make the rock formations
Sullivans curve?

I just tried this but my sand is still not hard after 12 hours. It is still moving and crumbly. and it is not thick at all. I used clean aquamarine sand bought at Petco on the wet paint with glue over the paint. I then added the sand. Then the alcohol to wet the sand,I let it dry, and then in a spray bottle I sprayed the sand with scenic cement. I put on a lot of scenic cement on the sand. How long will the sand stay movable?
