Jason your talent has been so very enjoyable. Believe it or not, we get as excited as you do everytime you pop up with a new idea. You have given pleasure to at least 30,000 people. No matter what happens you will always have that , can't be taken away. Thank Him every day for your great talent and your ability to share it. We all do. I actually use that "cocoon"paint and have gotten compliments on it and I didn't even weather or rust up anything yet. THANK YOU!!

Yay! Bridge time! ;-) Love what you've done with the girder bridge. Looks better upside down as a support structure than it did the right way up! The thought process is so clear when you have the buildings ready to go in - not that you don't have hundreds still to build! Cheers

I looked at your video to give me an idea of how to build a long bridge and view a master artist at work. You abilities and vision is so far above anything I have seen. Truely amazing!
Love this episode. It’s fun to tour your city. It reminds me of the Interbay-Ballard fishing district of old Seattle. I really can imagine families growing up there because my dad grew up among the wharves and docks of Puget Sound’s villages along the water. I guess all it needs in my mind to round out the Depression Era feeling of your beloved town, is to have some bright spots mixed within the gloom. The sun did shine there sometimes, even during hard times. Maybe a scene of kids fishing along a pier or swimming in a shady pool of non-industrial water. You will come up with something, Jason, because you’ve got everything else to make your town come alive!

Hello Jason, what you are doing is great and it looks very good. It's the kind of modelbuilding that i like! But: i am from a construction company and i am missing the concrete joints! The walls are much to long. And you can show in the old concrete walls some holes with rusty iron in it. May be you take a look to real concrete walls you will find lot's of joints, vertical and horizontal. Happy modeling, Manfred😉😀

Might as well comment on this, Chalk-finish paint, which is different from chalkboard paint, is a latex paint that has a fine powder added to the mix that creates a unique matte finish. The brushstrokes and imperfections become part of the unique look. Good video.

So cool. I have used that chalk paint but when I do any wash, no matter how thin, it tends to dissolve the chalk paint. I like it but I need to work with it more to prevent it washing away. I also see a mistake I’m making. I didn’t start with a darker base color. Just for info and update, I’ve separated my layout and built the shipping crate. I’ll be moving and shipping everything to the Philippines in June. I’m sure I’ll have lots of repairs to make on the layout. But rest assured, I’ll be watching your channel more when I get settled.

The video was very informative, I was surprised you did not paint the retaining wall first but as always it came out fantastic . Maybe I heard wrong but I thought you said a stone wall to match the building next to the bridge. Normally what you use is put on a list to get when budget allows. I do have a question I will be starting the roof on my saw mill, would you cut out separate pieces of metal roofing or just go with Campbell corrugated aluminum sheets?
@JasonJensenTrains
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so very much Will!!! I changed my mind about the stone retaining wall, decided to do all concrete. For corrugated sheets I suggest corrugated paper from Kcworkshop.com and I would cut small prices. Good luck and happy modeling!!! 👍
