This product has actually saved my fish too! Thanks to your videos I got 3 guppies and 2 mystery snails, i noticed the ph behaving very odd and felt the need to check the ammonia and I had a ammonia spike (due to uneaten food and waste as my snails poop a lot) I quickly did a very big water change and removed a lot of waste, thankfully I had csught it early and my fish are ok, small scare at first since they were gasping at first but thanks to API my fish and snails can continue to live

My mom uses API on our fish tank. It is pretty handy! She uses it every time a fish dies to see if there is too much ph or something that could kill the others. Would highly recommend API!

As an FGTeeV fan, that background music brought back memories that were stuck in the back of my head-

That kit has saved both my fish and peace of mind! Other than normal testing when my fish looked down, there was a time I had tetra test strip and they were ALL reading nitrates so high that all the fish should have been dead a loong time ago. I had plants, beneficial bacteria, a good filter, doing water changes, EVERYTHING and they STILL said it was deadly. Finally I remembered I had the big test kit and did a panel, and wouldn't you know, the parameters were perfect all along! F tetra test strips, they suck and give you anxiety

When I got my first fish it was a black moore (goldfish) and I didn’t know they can’t eat flakes. He was really sick and my family and I to help him with salt baths and everything we could. After a while we did change his food and he 100% recovered! A few moths later I noticed he wasn’t out swimming much and I couldn’t find him most of the time. I ended up not finding him for 16 hours until I looked HARD. I thought I saw a black figure so my dad moved the filter and there he was. A cooked black Moore with damaged scales that made them white. Rest in peace Swim.

So basically she is a hero for letting you know that you needed to get that tank right or else 😮 ! She saved lives!

My sister had 4 guppies a beta and a mystery snail. The guppies were named: egg stacy and derone, I can't remember the last one. The beta was named: Ziggy, and the snail was Marcell ( like marcell the shell) and for some reason all of her guppies died of mysterious causes I don't know what happened to them. Ziggy died of old age. She did get her guppies from petsmart and petsmart isn't the best

I remember watching this when my snail was dying. I didnt know who or what was causing it. Water was good,no parasites,good food.. He's in a good place now ❤

There are test strips to check nitrate amongst 6 other things. Just dip it 1 sec. In water and read the color changes. Tetra, sera and many other brands have it.

That is the test kit I use in my freshwater axolotl tank!

Snails are good for telling you when the water is kinda off. Good to pay attention to them.

I had never been so interested in fish/snail raising till this channel showed up.

Hey! You seem to know a lot about fish care, and I’m trying to take care of a very cute baby platt fish and an adult black Molly. I’ve got two issues right now: the Molly is sometimes a bit aggressive with the baby, especially during feedings. The water hardness is really high. I tried adding peat moss, but it hadn’t done much. Sorry to come and ask for help like this, but google’s solutions are either no within my budget, or don’t work at all.

I always find it amusing how the fish get moved around

We always recommend API Master Test kit at the Fishstore I work at! We also test peoples water regularly and i even use their special testing stuff like Copper, Kh, and Gh

That's great that you were able to figure it out so quickly

As annoying as it is to go through all those tubes and do at home chemistry, they are much more accurate than the strips.

Ive allways respected small fish owner, they can littlelary see the smallest chnages in their tank, the difrence in their fishes and much more, they can know when their fish is acting strange, when a fish is missing and when a fish juat gave birth

I would highly suggest getting the kh and gh add ons for the api liquid test kit for anyone who has snails, or honestly just in general

You should test water regularly, ammonia levels, or nitrate levels can get too high any time

5 of my guppies died😢 as an literal oscar jumped in to the guppies tank first time in a year of fish keeping

I had those snails before!! I had two yellows and a blueish one and sadly they died. But they tried to reproduce, and the shrimp (i think they were ghost shrimp) I had in there ate the eggs.

There's a different brand of test strip (SJ wave) that doesn't have ammonia measurement but does test the GH, KH, PH, Nitrate, Nitrite, and chlorine levels.

Instead of eggs you can use Sepia shells for Calcium for the snails

i use this all the time. it is very helpful for my fish!!
