I wouldn’t consider them “mini” but this size is more my speed anyway! I think your hair looked really cute!!

Twists tend to shrink more than braids. Like you, I never use heat, but I do braid my twists at night or band them to stretch them out. With braiding you get a more wavy/bohemian look (but it does look more romantic in a way). With banding, it stretches them out more and shows length. I would just make sure to moisturize/wet the ends because stretching twists this way can make them dry. Love your hair !

The twists came out soo beautiful. I tried twists a few months ago for the first time and I was shockeddddd how much I love it. I normally do braids for a protective style. Twists give such a relaxing cool vibe. I agree about doing the twists on wet hair, the results end up very different I think. 😊 yayyy for twists season. ❤❤❤

Highly recommend doing on blow dried hair….i also stretch mine on cool or warm drier setting when i felt like it and had no curl pattern issues. Satin scrunchies at night in a low ponytail also stretch well.

The perfect size twist, love it 💖 I always twist right after washing no need to dry my hair first. If you braid them in a few clumps it'll be a lot less shrinkage. Of course take the braids loose before you leave your house. They twist will also be wavy when you braid them together overnight.

i love mini twists. we have the same hair type and what i do is stretch the twists for a couple days with scruchies and they end up more elongated ;)

just took mine down yesterday. I had them in since May 4 and the growth was crazy. I don't know if it because I've been working out and massaging my scalp this time around but my hair grew two inches. Mini twist are everything

I braid mine in two braids in the night to stretch them out, I think it is normal, that you have to stretch them over night 😅

Beautiful! ✨ I commented on your IG reel saying it took me 3 hours to do mine. All that time paid off cuz here I am a week later, and my twists are going strong! I blowdried my twists to speed up the drying process but also to help keep them semi-elongated. And I sleep with them in a loose ponytail. Maybe that’d help a little with shrinkage?
