Good luck in Japan brother! I'm guessing you're gonna see a lot of SWORDS!!!🗡

@@Youtubz12 When a hitter gets fooled... Instead of a good baseball rip, the swing looks like a weak sword fight clash. And since he's going to Japan, yes. A double meaning joke (Maybe it was a SWORD joke)

@KRISTOPHER HORWATH I fully understand what a sword is in baseball. Just wanted to give props to a good pun, if it was meant to be one that is. Thanks for assuming I'm braindead.

@@Youtubz12 It was a pun... Your initial post seemed like it was a legitimate question, rather than an understanding of the term. SWORD isn't really common knowledge from casual baseball fans... Wasn't assuming you're braindead at all. (Glad you liked my joke) 😆

That's why i love your content, 15 years playing this damn sport and not a single person said a word to me about either pronation, supination, internal or external rotation
You do not disappoint. Always very meaningful advice. Great Job with sharing. Knock them dead this upcoming season and look forward to seeing you pitch again in the Majors!!
Trevor would make a legendary pitching coach one day. This man possesses a treasure trove of knowledge and information unlike no other. I honestly believe Trevor was set up and ousted by MLB but this guy is way smarter than those who set him up. Yes Trevor is a unique individual but all that comes with the territory. This guy is a Legend in my opinion.

@@camc9093everyone in the nfl had the chance to sign lamar Jackson yet nobody did as well. There's reasons for these things that go above a manager signing players. I just have to ask. Have you seen his content and the other dudes in his circles content? He absolutely would make a good coach if that's what he wants to do. Although I wouldn't blame him for not doing so. Since he's spent the majority of his life laser focused on baseball it would be nice to live a little
For my cutter, I also throw it like a fastball, but I grip it like a sinker, but turned slightly, and it gives it a ton of depth when thrown overhand and a ton of glove-side break when I drop down below sidearm

Can you explain what you are doing on your sinker grip
@gavinwinkler1147

@@mrmrjaviejav I grip the sinker with my fingers along the bridge, with them on the seams, the I throw it like a fastball, making sure to pronate it on release. Gives some good arm-side run and a lot of vertical break.
Weirdly enough I was taught this pitch as a kid from a rec league coach/dad. And this is exactly how he told me to do it. I was crumbling kids at 10 years old. My release point would be the batters head. And just hoped it cut! 😅

Trevor is a smart cookie! Love his vids!
Thanks! My kiddo sometimes gets his FB to do cutter stuff. Turns out his thumb was in the position you throw your cutter, so moved his. Things seem much better now.
Man...those Japanese Vlogs are gonna be SMOKE. Please bring Sim with you.
I really thought this was going to be an add to purchase the info and my only thought was damn, this is how far trev has fallen. Im fucking relieved to hear the actual advise, props to you.

Right? I don’t even watch baseball, haven’t in like a decade. And I have never played. But this channel is one of the top channels in the sports category on KZread. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that overall, this channel deserves a lot more recognition for how well it’s produced and executed, as it’s one of the best on the entire platform right now.
Thanks Mann I’ve been trying for ever 👍👍
バウアーさん。 横DeNAベイスターズを優勝へ 導いてくれ! なにより、貴方が活躍するのを楽しみにしています😊
The sounds between each jump cut is enough to make a grown man go insane holy cow.
IMO the thumb under it is the main component. I've pitched for fun in rec leagues for years and years and I could never figure out why sometimes I could throw a decent breaking ball and sometimes I couldn't. I never used slo-mo video but since watching "how to" videos I noticed the grip and how MLB pitchers had their thumb under it like Trevor states. I've never thrown with that type of grip. As soon as I started gripping it with my thumb under the ball...holy smokes it made a huge difference in spin/ball movement. Thank you Trevor (and others) for showing pitch grips.
Exactly how my dad taught me a cutter when i was younger.. Good luck in Japan, keep up the work 💪
Great advice
The baseball laces through my rotator cuff and bicep surgery scars are tingling 😂😂
Love ya Trevor!

I was looking for a video li me this for a weeks thanks
Seeing you here is wild
Best p coach out there! Gambate!
Hmmm. I threw mine like a fast ball with my top fingers on the horseshoe a little offset. Then I'd lift the pad part of my thumb off the ball, creating an axis for the ball to spin off when I released it. Resulted in a very late, hard, downward cut.
I really wish I could've gotten information like this when I was playing ball in high school.
your amazing
I have a "hitch-hikers" thumb... which just means when i give a thumbs up instead of looking like this 👍 mine points back like the Nike swoosh. It was incredibly advantagous as a pitcher cuz it allowed me to place pressure on the baseball from my thumb anywhere between the tip to the bottom of the knuckle
Absolutely great visual demonstration with vocal explanation.... please do more videos of each pitches...

“Each pitches”
Can't wait to see you in Japan
Dude is the mad scientist of pitching.
Assuming you have the 4 seam rotation mastered. That's the one and most important thing for amature pitchers. 1st step need to master 4 seam rotation then you have a chance to learn a cutter.
Hope you are enjoying Japan dude!!!!
Do you have any tips to what to do after you pitch and your arm hurts?

Vigorously masturbate with the other arm until they both hurt
I learned this same thing but on accident. Four seam didn’t come out of my hand properly but my buddy I was throwing to was like “was that a cutter?” I’ve been able to replicate it but not consistently so usually, like most of my pitches, it’s a meatball
Good to c u again hope u get back to mlb ever since u threw that ball over the wall I could tell all u want to do is win an b the best been a fan take care of yourself
This seems like advice for someone who is already good
As someone in physical therapy, I’m supposed you know supination vs pronation. And external rotation. Impressive Trevor you know your stuff
Good to know
Dude is getting rocked in Japan 🤣
Genius
Trevor should create a baseball that has touch sensors and can be used with vr to be able to see spin/curve that you might otherwise need a slow motion camera for.
Bro is a pitching warlock
That’s cool. Where’s the hiden ninja making all those sounds?
Man I wish the baseball program in my town wasn't so corrupt. I loved playing
Bro where we’re you back when i played high school ball?😂
Thankd been trying to throw a cutter js couldn’t quite get it
all my fastballs just cut i couldnt throw one straight
Right now my 11yr old does not throw a traditional curve. But has a cutter. Taught by his travel coach. He can throw it for a strike any time. He has less confidence in his circle change! Lol
Sorry abt what happened in your school years that is sad trevor 😢
You must have seen that one gym with the pitching coach that can teach anything 🤣 or this is just super common but he said everything you said didn’t work 🤣
So the "Sword" celebration will now be a "Kitana" celibration!? Sheath and bow. Good luck in Japan brother
MORE GOAT advice kids! Pay attention! Free Trevor Bauer now! He does more for the sport of baseball than any other human on the planet!
Nice
trevor can you give curve or slider tips
I tried to throw a cutter as a kid and couldn’t do it until I used a gallon and a half of glue on my hand
Trevor you know what’s funny I’m 10 years old right now and my cutter is my best pitch
Jay Cutler look a like
Cool
Can u explain the sweeper? Is it like a slider mixed with a cutter?
Legit
I Wana pitch and try some of your advice but I torn my rotator cuff and it's killing me .
I wish I knew this in college
I got a cutter you might not seen before. I promise it's nasty. Different
Noted.
Noooo. Dude. I'm trying this tomorrow. I might need the last 5 years or so refunded if it's that easy. I'm convinced glove-side pitches are a huge conspiracy to trick me into believing physicists are real.
LMAO.
Ima screwball
i Wana pitch so bad
Works so well it gets you sent down in Japan
Sword some people in Japan
Subinated
But how do you stop it from cutting ?! Send help lol
Its just a slider with less movement and faster
Supinated
Hahahahaha Japan boy
Damn. Imagine if baseball took skill
The MLB is a joke for forcing you out. Japan is lucky to have you and I think you will enjoy baseball more in Japan
Hot dammit Trevor. English bro
If i had this amount of advice on a phone as a kid I wouldve had a ridiculous arsenal.
Can’t you just change the grip of the ball so you naturally put spin without changing how you throw it
First hi Trevor Can you give me an autographed momentum baseball

Why would he? 💀
I’m pretty sure all cutters as a kid turn into sliders being they don’t throw hard enough to actually cut a fastball. Just saying. Unless you are mid 8’s and 60’6”, they are just lazy sliders. Gravity is a MF. 😂
can somebody tell me how to learn pitch i've never played baseball i'm 17 and only at home
Why he in Japan now did he get kicked out the mlb? Legit my favorite pitcher (besides Adam Wainwright…I’m a cards fan)

He's not really good enough for mlb. He could be a AAA powerhouse though
That isn’t bad for your elbow?
Yeoooooooo what happened to ur mlb career????
Trying to teach 8 year olds to throw off the mound the coaches keep telling them to take this giant step... doesn't make sense to me
Or just be able to throw one naturally. Pshhhh
Already pissing off 🇯🇵 teammates and swording minor leaguers.
I'm sorry but if you're arm is twisted in screwball style on a fastball, then RIP your tendons
Who cares?
Stop talking so soft and telling kids how to pitch
I don't see this guy ever making the Hall of Fame
Easier explanation: throw is more like a football
This is probably why i sucked at pitching cause i was taught fast balls throw over the top with it leaving your hand straight with your fingers pushing it towards the target lolyou turn your hand and stuff what
