Only 30 min for me 😂
Me: "I will watch this just in case I learn something new. I bet he just colors like every other artist." Gregor: "FILL LAYERS." Me:" *jaw drops*

Thh I didn't even know those existed and I've had CSP for 2 years now

I KNEW about them. I just never actually got around to using them. Now I realise how useful this would have been back when I was making my comic all those... Oh gods, its been decades!
This was the most aggressive explanation to color
Nice extra little detail: Those fill layers will also end up saving you filesize, because it's just telling the computer 'fill everything with 1 color' and then 'only display that on these pixels', which takes up a lot less space than having an individual RGBA value for each pixel like a standard raster layer would. This isn't super relevant unless you're working with ULTRA big files or on an INSANELY old potato computer, but it does have its benefits.
You've honestly blown my mind with how many convenient tools and methods exist in CSP. Thank you for the tips!
Dude, I love your voice! You could play an evil scientist that maybe the writing gets the audience to love ^^ 🥲🤣 I’m thinking of some cross between the wizard from Korgoth of Barbaria and Mandark from dexter’s lab with a more Ice King-innocence 🙃🤩

I just found this video. YES, what a great voice. Kind of a John Lovitz (SNL Alum) esque sound. Great tutorial BTW. Struggling with color until I found this. Thank you!!!!!
Me: Nah i'm done with CSP it's so hard to draw there, i'll move back to ProCreate Me after 1 hour watching your CSP tutorials: Clip Studio paint i love you so much you're the best
I knew Toonboom has a "color palette" feature and I was searching for the clip equivalent. This discovery of fill layers will save me a ton of time in the future, thanks!
I found an add on which lets you lasso around a reference layer of lineart, as opposed to a paint bucket. I used to do that too but this (remarkably) is so much faster and cleaner. Content IDs: Fill: 1759448 Erase: 1759450 It fills in any shape that is fully enclosed and also doesn't leave weird artifacts from the lineart that the paint bucket/area scaling fills leave. They also have a reverse one where you can erase a color when enclosed. Also it works with fill layers so my life has changed because I had no idea those existed, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge (and being thoroughly entertaining while doing so, you're awesome!)
Amazing tutorial again! I feel like I'll never learn out on how to use CSP! xD Gained some crucial tips and new ways on how to color that are very convenient for the way I color (which is pretty much the raster layer way)! Thanks for the tutorial! :D
I don't own this program. I don't even draw stuff, but I sure did enjoy watching this.
Important to note for anyone who might be confused. First create a raster layer, then put it OUTSIDE the folder, and edit in the raster layer, cuz if you put the raster layer inside the folder of reference layer, the color eats too much of the border lines
I've been scouring art tutorials here on and off for MONTHS this is the first time I've understood! Please make more tutorials! I love them! You explain things well, and your edits show which tools to use very clearly!!!
1:31 they wouldn’t let you say photoshop? lmao Also please release the thumbnail as a wallpaper! It’s so gooooood!
YOU JUST SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME! I make Squidish on Webtoons, and I've been having to deal with so much distractions in my life when I could be drawing and coloring in this way! Thank you!!
This has been the very first fun and equally entertaining tutorial for clip I’ve found so far! You are such a unique artist, and are officially a role model for me from now on. Stay awesome! And thank you :)
This was a great video, I appreciate any and all coloring tips!
The little squiggly is called a tilde and it's my favorite key on the keyboard. Yes. Because it's squiggly.
Grayish blue works for shading because shadows are naturally tilted toward blue because of sky light. In sun light, saturation is stripped. But in shadow, saturation is richer
Awesome tutorial. Glad I watched it. You helped me solve a problem I was having with applying a gradient to my vector line work. Thanks so much.
Thank you! I've been struggling with coloring/shading for months and this explained literally everything I needed!
Once again, phenomenal job on this tutorial 👌. I needed this one even more than the "how to draw fast" video! Coloring literally takes me more time than both the initial sketch and lineart. Thanks for making this!
Love ❤️ your humor and tips!! I've been using CSP for year now and love it... your tips are very enlightening and usable!! Thank you!!!
I gotta say, this is the first vid of yours I’ve seen and it took me 53 seconds exactly to subscribe! I love your humor and I don’t even know if I already know what ur gonna show in this vid or not, but I’m excited to see what’s what either way!
You helped me again. Drawing has become much easier. Thank you!
Amazing tutorial, Gregor! There were a lot more features to the fill tool than I would have thought
I watch a lot of speed-draws by the Drawfee team. Jacob is a fun guy, but I swear every time he answers one of the other's questions with "I just did a masking/fill/vector layer" and refuses to explain further I want to confront him in person and smack him with cardboard tube from a roll of paper towel. But now, I know. I know so much thanks to you, Mr. Loading. You're an amazing teacher.
THESE ARE SO AWESOME, THANKS FOR THIS AND THE PREVIOUS ONE :D These are generously incredibly helpful, I switched to Clip Paint from Krita, since Krita didn't work the way I wanted and I'm still new to digital art, these tutorials are SO Good!!
thanks for colour and shading tutorial. easy understand with comedy make me not boring watch your video.
Your editing is amazing
This is AMAZING! I had NO idea about that "Apply to Connected Pixels" check box! That is going to be immensely useful! Thank you! The fill layers too! I didn't know what they were.
I wish you would do more art tutorials :)
whaaat the "apply to connected pixel only" part was mind boggling 😂 you're a big help in reminding me these shortcuts exists in csp
I appreciate you for these videos!
thankyou you just saved me so much time, it usually took me 30 minutes to color, but now it only took 5, i need finish my 5 minutes animation within next month for my finals, so this really helped me.
Fantastic guide, thank you very much!
I have had Clip Studio Paint EX for a While and Find you video So helpful, l noticed that when other people draw they do speed paints, and if anyone is like me it is really hard to follow along, but you have made it so much easier to follow along
I appreciate the pacing in your CSP tips videos! It is the perfect amount of informative without being overwhelming Another way to handle color layers that gives you flexibility in changing the color later: I use transparency locked color layers. In other words, after I establish my field/s of a color on a raster layer, I lock the transparency and use the layer fill bucket button for subsequent color changes. It means fewer layers in what already becomes nested clipping chaos, since (for figures/characters) I already clip my shadow layer to the folder of color layers (I do a softer shading style than you, so I really mostly need to control the shading's outermost edge)
Graphics tutorials from a young Miracle Max. I like it. "Buh-bye boys! Have fun colouring in yer line art!"
AWESOME Video, very Insightful and Entertaining!!!
Thank u so much for these! 😍
You sound like one of those old time radio dudes and I love it
This was a fuckin wild ride... video hit the ground running being dorky as hell, yet... Seriously *so* well written and paced, communicating maximum information-per-word without feeling rushed or confusing I watched to the bitter end, i loved every second--am I a full-goofball dork? Am I a "ClipHead" worshipping at the temple of the Clip Stu[Deity]? I become Clip Studio Dork, filler of layers. Thank you so much.
Every time I watch one of these videos I feel like I’m watching a tv series and the biggest plot twist just tore through everything I thought I knew
I didn't know about all this! My mind is blown! 🤯
You and your cartoon dude are simpatico. Funny and clever and very helpful!
wow!!! that's just extremely helpful. thank you.

His voice kind of reminds me of Spongebob and a little bit of Squidward combined. I apologize, but it can’t help to point it out. Keep up the great work sir.
You're a boss!
Imma buy Clip Studio Paint with ur link :b
Finally someone that talked about the "Connected pixel" ! Ah but did you know that there is a simple trick to create an invisible lineart that is picked by the "Refere multiple" ?
Is this all vector??? Wow.. I used to work all these in raster in exactly same method.. this is so cool
You're a funny fella. Subbed :)
Awesome
I miss your videos so much man :(
Ayyy we got the same taste in hats 😀
You're litteraly the Clip Studio Jesus.
yow dude, it's mean a lot for me, Thanks !
If you have your colours on separate raster layers, you can still change their colour easily by clicking on the "Change Layer Color" button at the top right of the Layers panel.
graciass
You are the Joe pesci of clipart!!!! Dude you got me laughing so much.... It would be hilarious if you threw in some lethal weapon references on your next video LOL keep up the good work you earned a subscribe for me
