this is the "how to clean your AR" period video.

This is an excellent video Ray! I was a unit armorer my first 3 yrs in the Infantry and I loved showing all of the guys in my unit how to maintain everything from the M2 heavy barrel machine gun to the M1911A1 pistol. The only time the fellas in my unit didn’t like me was when I inspected their weapons on return from the range or training exercises and sent them back to clean it better. It was so awesome to go out and have everyone shoot good and not have major issues with their weapon. If they did have malfunctions I usually had it remedied right away or fixed it when we got back in garrison. So I really liked your video and your explanation for the reasons of why it is important to do the things involved to maintain your weapon properly.

Been messing with and shooting guns for well over 40 years, hands down best video I've ever watched on AR cleaning. Great Job!

It never hurts me to see another well-made firearm (AR, bolt action, etc,) cleaning video and especially from a man who uses one in competition. No matter how many times I may have seen someone else's video covering the same subject, your's ends up being the best and most enjoyable. Thanks Ray.

This is well made video. From explanation to camera angles and view points of what's being done. And he is doing it on a DDM4V7 Tornado Grey, I love mine so much!

I watched this video over a year when I bought my AR 15. Unfortunately, I suffered a shoulder injury and needed shoulder replacement. I finally got the opportunity to use the AR 15 yesterday. I remembered this video from last year and found it again. An extremely well done video that I followed to do my cleaning. It took me a few hours but well worth it as I learned more about the gun and a great way to clean it!

I am a Dutch shooter, owning a Colt Sporter H-bar and never dared to take it apart. Watching this video i learned how to take the boltcarrier apart and put it back together again. Thanks a lot!

I must say that this video is very informative especially to those who have never done it I have been a .22LR bench shooter for many years all to familiar with that process. Recently purchased my first AR-15 and didn't know where to look for the take down of the rifle I'm certainly satisfied with the video on the how to's thank you for your time in bringing it to me I certainly do appreciate it

After struggling with other tutorials, you had the most straightforward and easy to understand tutorial for my first time cleaning. Love the video and will be watching more of yours to come!

Outstanding content for any AR 15 owner. I perform almost the same identical cleaning tasks. My exception is the I use Birtchwood Casey Lead Remover cloth to to clean the bolt tail and remove the carbon build up. I have not been cleaning off the copper, but will incorporate it into my cleaning routine. I always walk away smarter after watching your videos.

You will rarely ever need too. He uses proof research barrels for competition shooting so he shoots a lot.

Darn, I spent 20 min watching how to clean an AR, and that is something I have never seen and not even allowed over here, but one can always learn regardless and that is what one does watching and getting info from you - thx for sharing :)

Holy cow! Shout out to your cameraman. I thought this was tripod mounted or steady-cammed until I saw your buddy holding the cellphone in the reflection. Now THAT is a good example of natural point of aim!

BrianOnTheGo Eah, he was pretty clear this was his way. Leaving a thin coat of corrosive solvent without being neutralized all over everything and putting oil in the exhaust ports are where I differ.

I love how thorough you are with the cleaning process you use and it also being under 20 minutes... way too many videos are short and only cover the bare minimum that you can pretty much guess to be standard (ie: oiling the rails) or the video is waaayyyyy too long and convoluted. I actually downloaded this to have a backup and to make sure it's mirrored offline.
