This is taking off, which means a lot of people who just don't "get" cosplay are flooding into the comments to talk about how weird it is. This is just a gentle reminder that there's a real person behind this screen, and I read your comments! You don't need to understand WHY I would want to make a costume like this - we're allowed to be into different things. Insults and sexual comments will be immediately blocked & deleted, so do us both a favor and don't waste your time typing up that crude joke. (And no, you're not the only person who thinks I look like Arya Stark. I've been cosplaying her for many years. Check out my gallery here: www.ginnydi.com/arya)

Lol. KZreads algorithm is up to its old tricks again. Just add plenty of links for people to support you, patreon and what not. Ignore the weirds cause you'll get a ton, and ignore the people who want you to do... Suggestive cosplay. Unless you're into that. Then plan on making a ton of money. Ahahaha. Either way, always enjoy what you do!!!

Hey, I don’t know if I have ever even made a KZread comment before, but I follow you on twitter (fellow critter here!) and saw you’d mentioned you’ve been getting negative comments on this video recently, so I thought I’d come leave a comment too. Just wanted to tell you that I and many others think you’re a very talented creator, and I can definitely see the skill and effort that has gone into designing this. It’s a really lovely creation, and you should definitely be proud of it! Additionally, the way you explain things in your videos is really well-done and easy to follow. As someone with ADHD, following instructions is really difficult, but the way you break things down is incredibly effective. Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you knew you’re very talented, and both you and your work are appreciated!
I got this as a recommended video and im actually really thankful. This is SO COOL!!!!!
Easy to mould, light weight and mechanically simple. I like it. On a side note I was worried you were going to 'hoof' your toes when you were showing the leg movement.
Read her pinned comment and... I don't get why people are saying it's weird? She's describing how she built a centaur costume, I mean, that's what the title says.
@snazzyfeathers

Because some people don't get why someone would spend so much time and effort into looking like a centaur. Idk I think its cool but some people just don't get it. A family member of mine thinks this kind of stuff is a waste of time unless someone was planning to make money off of it
I guess this is what Arya Stark has been doing since she sailed West of Westeros.

Are you happy Google, I watched the video. Also nice build, really solid work!
Expanding foam is the greatest filler of all time. I used it a million years ago to fill my Tetsusaiga sword when I cosplayed Inuyasha a looooong time ago. Made it nice and light so I could swing it easily despite the size.
I saw on your recent video how much hate you got for this. I just wanted to say that I think some the the haters and bottom feeders are because you did something truly amazing! Jealousy and pettiness are easy with something thats never been done before. It takes much more energy and intelligence to render a nice compliment! Take it as praise that you were able to "wind people up" with your creativity and art!
I am not sure which is more amazing, the piece and it's genius construction or the simple genius of "Centuar of Attention" both ways, well done
2019: I made a centaur costume 2030: I am Spider
If you're thinking that you don't cosplay, here's a story. I never thought I was into cosplaying either, until I went to my first Anime Convention. Literally everyone in there was in some form of amazing cosplay, and me looking down at my painfully normal boring clothes, I felt downright nude! It was like going to a costume party, but forgetting to bring a costume. That's how you get into cosplay. Conventions are basically huge costume parties and just as fun!
I can’t wait for the book! Even your first version was amazing so I can’t wait to see what you did next!
KZread algoritm coming your way. Amazing, I just can´t belive how you even study for this. So much hard work and hours put down into this, trully amazing!
One time a puppeteer accidentally broke my glasses and she gave me an IOU slip........ time to cash it in...
Oh man! This is beautiful! I thought when I first saw your original centaur cosplay video that this would be much more complex than what it actually is. In actuality it's simple yet elegant! And I love all the ease of life features that you thought of on top of everything else! This version itself feels like v3.0 or more, rather than v1.0! I'm so glad I backed your book and I can't wait to see how the new version will be!
I went into this thinking "I just want to see what it's about" and walked away from the video going "holy crap, I think I can do that". My mind is blown.
I don't know if you still look at these comments, but this looks like it took SO much work -- it's incredible! keep doing what you're doing!! :))
Great video! Very informative and brief. Don't do any cosplay myself but love all the work and care that goes into it.
I’ve been waiting for this for at least a year/ year and a half and I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK AND TO BE A CENTAUR GIRL THANK YOU GINNY I WILL NEVER STOP SUPPORTING YOU AND YOUR AMAZING WORK❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The eyehooks to feed the fishing line through is rather genius. As someone that did theatre costuming for a couple seasons I really appreciate the ingenuity of craftsmanship in this to work around how it functions and how the character actor can be comfortable wearing this for a length of time. I know the video is 4 yrs old at this point but if nothing else it shows the usefulness of the construction holds. Well done.
This lady looks like an adult Hatsune Miku She’s really f***ing pretty and I am jealous
This popped into my recommended which is strange because I don’t cosplay but hella interesting. For once way to go KZread recommendations.
I just wanted to give you a HUGE thank you. Your video was an incredible help to me in making a walking centuar for my daughter for her high school musical. I love all of your work!
I am so glad this came up in my recommended! I’ve been looking for an in-depth and easy to follow explanation on making centaur legs for ages. Thank you so much.
This is awesome! I know about the mermaid tales. I like centaurs too I hope it can as popular as the mermaid tales.
I can't wait for the release of your book!!! It will really help with my Mount Cosplays I want to build! :D
This is freaking sweet! Props to you for developing this and also helping others to make their own! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. I am very excited for the book/tutorial to come out. :)

😍im glad you made a video and even happier you made a book. Seen your cosplay once before on ig and was amazed.
I just appreciate how simple the engineering is, it makes some pretty complex looking movements but it all boils down to some fishing line and some clever use of PVC, very nice.

The effort put in and artistic functionality of this amazes me. Very cool
I am so glad I watched your video. Your construction technique could be used for several costumes I have wanted to do but was stumped on construction that would be light weight and used readily available materials. I am inspired now. Thank you!!!
YO THAT'S SO COOL- so mechanically simple so it's unlikely to break, and soooo good looking. I love it
You got my attention . I watched the one where you are walking and I'm hooked what an amazing person you are I'm now a new subscriber
Girl, your ability to not only engineer a working model but make it look so gorgeous is so inspiring! Bucket list cosplay right there. Now first I need to learn how to do the basics like... sewing. ha.
Ginny
Oh my god!! I literally have been wanting to create something like this since middle school!! I had no idea you could actually make it!! That is so amazing!!

So glad youtube has brought me this. I've been thinking for a while that I want to try to make my +Anima OC into a cosplay, and your design with moving back legs is actually exactly what I was planning to do!

Simple and ingenious! I'm glad I watched it because I blinked and said "WUT," at the clip of you walking in the costume and that's what reeled me in. (Well, OK, that and you're adorable, too.) Well done!
Well done! Concept AND execution!

Awesome design, and even though I know it's an older video, a little word of caution about the connection for the hooves. I can't tell if you're using those special nylon inserted locknuts that really lock in place, but if you do'nt please note that a repeated circular motion on that joint can cause the bolt and nut to unscrew themselves, potentially losing you a hoof.
Excellent job with the hidden leg mechanic! and super clever! Your "tutorial" was super quick, to the point, and super clear, can't wait to apply and share your ideas with my Kids, and their Cosplay. THANK YOU! Keep creating, and thinking wild!
Keep being you Just Keep being you... there's no one like you and thats a great thing.. you earned a sub!
Ive just finished making one for comic con london this October with a simialr method!! Glad to finally see some solid tutorials out their now. I had to peice together random diagrams from various sites.
@Ginny Di I have stumbled across a few of your build videos now, and I must say you are a VERY creative and INSPIRING individual!! I subbed!!! I read your comment below about negative comments. For me not understanding what Cosplay is was directly contributed to the word Cosplay. Then I realized it was dressing up in costume as your favorite characters/heroes and just getting together with others and enjoying their costumes, their acting, their why as to liking different characters and at the big conventions the same but also potentially meeting some of one's favorite actors, etc. For the vast majority of people it isn't an every day thing!!!
Her creativity is so beautiful
😮 OMG, the skill & time you have put into this is awesome!
