How I Built a Bushcraft Brick Kiln to Build a Dream House for Survival in the Wild, Catch and Cook

In this movie, I built a bushcraft brick kiln to make sturdy bricks. The raw materials I used were soil that was baked after many days of burning the kiln. I found my own food in the wild to survive many days. We invite you to watch this entire video.

There’s one guy in America that built a water wheel that powers a saw mill and a grinder, the guy makes a pizza doing this, then with the planks that he gets from his saw mill he builds a really cozy hut. That was probably the best builds I’ve seen yet. This guy is amazing as well.

@@xothos7902 here is another one of those who have to make a 90 minutes long video just to "de-bunked" something i mean none of the others were forcing anyone to watch the entire video, and if its their "main" job to make yt videos which i highly doubt they would only gain profit by all of those who are stupid enough to stay for the entire video, i mean you did not come by the video to watch "primitive" building you're watching because you want to run away from modern sociaty and consume some primitivity, so in the end does it really fking matters as long as you're satisfied watching a bunch of people building stuff with mud and lumber? i mean personally i could not really care much for what happens in the background as long as they build the sh*t with nothing but mud and chopped down trees (yes the usage of machines/tool does not matter to me) i would have understood the complaint if they had used modern materials while calling it "primitive building" since primitive tools/materials is mud and trees, and just because you're calling it "primitive technology" does mean it defines the tool to make it but rather the materials used to make it, so in the end you could litterally use any modern machinary to gain the materials but the creation was made with primitive materials.

He did some shopping, but I agree, it's totally natural. If you look closely when the masonry is done you will observe horizontal lines in the bricks.Well, that's normal with low quality extruding bricks . But he is using a molding process... I will not mention the temperature necessary to bake red bricks ,1100 degrees Celsius and why his kiln will never achieve this temperature. A funny video, very entertaining.

Your shelter was a work of art, and focusing on the bricklaying it's obvious you've had years of training in this field, while your "Hunter Gathering" ability was skillfully applied finding bush tucker to sustain your energy. My compliments to the editor of this presentation and their ability to condense what I would guess was a months footage into a fluid entertaining presentation. Take care and stay safe Craftsman. 🦘

haha this is so funny, reading the comments because all these people praising this person for being such a creative engineer to do this work. No one can do this work. Do you understand how hard is it to make each one of those bricks, and im not even talking the shingles. And how long all this would take one person by hand to do. The funny part was how he was struggling to cut wood with the saw in the beginning, and then all of a sudden it is done and looks great. LOOK AT HIS FOREARMS, they don't look like he sawed through all that wood by himself. And do you realize how long it would take just to make the bricks, shingles, and to saw through all the wood.... does the man in the video look that tired ? His first 3 bricks were trash now their all perfect. The reason why you dont see more videos like this is because no one could do this by themselves. PATTY MAYO ANYONE ? Theater ! Bravo nicely done.

Anyone else notice the bricks came out of the kiln completely clean, while the inner walls of the kiln are caked in soot and creosote? Some are broken in half, but the other half is missing. And that as he's stacking the shingles fresh out of the form, they're already hard and curved? You'll note after the first two they are suddenly much thinner and uniform in size and shape. And that the bellow doesn't have a hole to let air into it? This is 90% theater... 🤬

I’m surprised you didn’t do a curved roof with bricks vs tiles. Also add mud to the edge of your bricks and not just the bottom edge will make a stronger seal. Looks like an amazing location. So peaceful

Bushcraft? Seriously? I can honestly say I have never taken a saw, awl, axe, hammer nor machined planks into the bush, let alone plastic to make a window in the door. That being said, an awl would be a light weight and useful tool to bring along for the ride. So many observations and so many questions, The most pressing question would be how does the clay mortar for the walls and roof survive the wet season:, yet still be friable enough to remove the bricks from the kiln face? Speaking of which, why the need for the discarded air blower? A structure of this shape should act as a rocket stove (kiln). John Plant's constructions may not be as beautiful, but at least they are authentic and made from the heart, Primitive technology this ain't. One last question, did he have a trailer full of black t-shirts and green cargo pants? If this was a one man show, it would take months and months to do this, even with the modern assist.

🎉🎉excellent work done in an extraordinary location. Your manual and artisanal skills are remarkable and are appreciated in the mastery of using the few tools that you ... "apparently" have at your disposal. The perfection of the corners, the perpendicularity of the walls of the house, the strength of the walls on which you climb, the bricks held together with water and clay, leave me doubtful. I haven't seen you use a square for right angles, a carpenter's level or a plumb line, even if rudimentary. I don't understand how you managed to use tons of good quality clay, nor how you managed to split rocks with just a chisel and an axe. I repeat, you are a great executor of works but.......my doubts remain.

You would be among the very best on youtube if you just incorporated the use of a simple hammer and nails with the shelters you build. No one would think any less if you did. Survivalism is the utilization of whatever is at hand to survive with. Great video by the way. Amazing kiln and shelter!
