Cutting back on protein helped me. I stopped eating red meat and mostly eat chicken and pork and I’m losing again. I’m eating more vegetables and eggs. I used to hear people on keto saying to be careful you’re not having too much protein and that that could stall you. I never thought that that was an issue for me because I wasn’t eating tons of protein. But as soon as I cut back on the red meat and ate less Protein I started losing again. I lost 6 lbs in about a week just from making that change. I also try to go for a walk every day. Love your recipes!

I really don't think cutting red meat made the difference. Protein is protein. If you consume lower portions of red meat then you get less protein.

I dont know what it is but every time i eat ground beef (love) or steak, i gain!!! The very next day. And it takes a couple of days to get it off. I KNOW the next day i didn't actually gain a pound or two of fat, so I'm not saying it's FAT on my scale the next day after red meat, but it is still discouraging... so, now, if i have eggs, chicken, tuna... no gain! But i know steak is super keto. So i don't understand. Nevertheless, it's incredibly important to stay encouraged. So i lay off red meat unless it's a couple of bites, OR if I've had a lot of loss lately and I'm super encouraged -- then i will enjoy a good steak or a meal with yummy grass fed organic ground beef. Even within it being good and keto, it tends to make my weight go up a couple of days, so i have it as a reward after a period of hard work.🥳🎶🎵🎶👑

I started Keto in April. It’s been a hit and miss, but I have it down now. One thing I have noticed is that I’m hardly hungry and I don’t crave food like I used to. My taste buds have change and I’ve always been such a foodie. Nothing appeals to me anymore. Once in awhile I will get the urge to have something sweet, so I’ll make something keto. I love this diet. It definitely works for me since I’m hypoglycemic and I don’t get the jitters anymore.

Great tip on intermittent fasting to break the plateau! It does work! I also break my fast at 11am -12pm. I also like your tip on exercise. Did not think about my body getting use to the same exercise done over and over which I am doing right now. Need to change it up a bit. One tip I do have for you with sparkling waters: make sure it is natural carbonation! The artificial one is not good for the enamel of your teeth. ( I learned that when I had a hole on the side of one tooth and the hygienist told me what caused it.) Thank you for your great info and super recipes. Yeah, we (my husband and I ) just went through something like this on the weight stall portion. we use fasting which brings us out of the stall almost right away. we do an 8-hour eating window with a 16 hour fast. The thing is, is that you get used to not eating and doing high protein causes you to not be hungry so that's how we deal with it.

Please be careful when telling someone to hydrate hydrate hydrate. My doctor told me to drink drink drink water he didn’t say how much to drink, he just said drink drink drink and I did. It wasn’t an obscene amount or anything just quite a bit more than usual. I ended up with water poisoning, which is actually a thing. I had no idea! And I almost died. I ended up having to go to a nursing home for 2 1/2 months because water poisoning messed me up that bad. I could barely walk, I was barely getting any oxygen to my brain, water was surrounding my heart, I had pneumonia. I passed out in a bathtub full of water. Not a regular bathtub a huge walk-in tub. By the grace of God somehow it drained while I was in the footwell of that tub unconscious. So I didn’t drown….. but the medical problems I got from the water poisoning almost killed me. So while most people can handle over hydrating to a point some can’t and it’s a crapshoot on which is which or who is which. I just wanted to let you know so you don’t get in any kind of trouble for that because it is technically Medical advice because of the ramifications that it can have. And KZread is really cracking down on people. Yknow....ever since I discovered I was type2 diabetic and began closely monitoring my blood sugars I was amazed at how even in ketosis...yes deep ketosis...blood sugar could be high. I also noticed something interesting too...that whenever I hit a plateau....my blood sugar was extra high...again....even in ketosis...why this happens I don't know...the liver tries to compensate I guess. The body says hey guys...wete having tip into our reserves so we better work extra hard on conservation. And so the body works to conserve its fat stores. It seems the best way to get around this is to either... eat only meat...water fast... and if you have the energy...do cardio....or some walking. But yes....don't be surprised if during a plateau....your blood sugar is high

I quite keto because I stayed in a plateau I do not eat enough I IF everyday I ride my treadmill I need to switch to lifting or something. I'm back on track but would love to see the scale move this time. I stayed on keto for a year and got aggravated. I feel good though so I'm back at my keto life if you can help me in anyway thank you.

Try intermittent fast along with keto , also increase ur fat intake in the beginning then when ur adapted start lowering it.. Then well its like an equation, u put sth...blanace the other part ... take sth out...balance this part... what i mean is liek... ull either be lowering ur fat...or ur protein ... increasing ur veggie...etc Some weeks ull lose...some weeks you wont..but bear it.. its worth it I was same as u, i started keto on 15th November 2021, i was 96kg then...first week i lost 4kg which i assume is water weight, i was eating about 1900cal then( abt 120g fat, 50g net carb...which is wrong..i didnt know back then.. should be 30g net carb) then 2nd week i only lost 1kg... then 3rd week i lost nth ...that was frustrating but i said lets keep going...then i figured that i was eating too much carb..so i switched to 30gnet carb and the 4th week i lost 2kg This is how its been since and now im on my 15th week(nearly 4 months ), some weeks i lose...some i dont...but the way i try to see it is... if at the end of the month i lost even 1kg ... that's a gain...im a little better than i was 1 month ago... and with this mindset... im now 17.2kg down, at 78.8kg Be strong u can do it too if everyone else can 🌻🌻🌻

Hi, I'm from Brazil, so forgive the mistakes...I've lost 18kg with keto lifestyle... An estrategy that help me break this was fat fasting, just to make my IF longer...so every morning, when I was reaching 14 hours +/- of fasting, I drank bullet proof coffee, with 1 tbsp of coconut oil and one of butter. That gave me enough energy to reach 18 hours. After that I ate my usual keto meal, vegs with meat or avocado with eggs etc... About exercises, doctors here that recommend keto to lose weight suggest to do only low intensity workout and to lift weights every other day...

I gained three pound during my intermiting fastening. Worse, I am still in the process of reversing a fatty liver so I need to loose a little more so my next ultrasound will read clear. I quit meat in 2018 and started supplementing with vegetables and very little carbs but I gained a lot. Currently walking everyday and following macros with protein as priority and I'm losing again. I occasionally eat salmon and tuna in addition to eggs so that's where a majority of my protein comes from but I also supplement with the isopure protein powder when needed. Look up veggies highest in protein and prioritize those.
