How I Beat Prostate Cancer Fatigue (ADT) with Walking

Hello this is a short video of me just walking off the cancer fatigue on my day off.
I've often found this is the best tonic when I feel the tiredness kicking in despite sleeping 10 hours last night.
I'm also talking about the latest curve ball that's been thrown at me 8n the form of Osteoporosis. It never rains it just purse right
Thank you for watching this video, I’ve been making these videos as a vlog sharing my journey through Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
My world literally fell apart on Sept 15th 2021 when I was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer which according to my Oncologist is incurable (although ive never accepted that) Questions such as how long have I got left how bad is it , in fact, a whole host of frightening thoughts, where suddenly swarming around my mind and exploding at opportune moments when I felt most vulnerable.
If I were to be honest, I was lost and lonely to begin with. People don’t know how to deal with someone who has stage four cancer. It’s a taboo subject. I honestly didn’t know who to turn to for help. It can be a dark place and I only wish I could have found a channel such as this to help me through those early days.
I started writing a blog whilst I was in hospital and recovering at home after the initial treatment phase.
I then decided to make this vlog because it seemed a better way to get my story out there. I want to provide a channel where I would continue telling my story for as long as I can and invite comments from others that can also help and share their own experiences.
Cancer can be a lonely place, and I hope this channel will help someone else who may be a bit lost and feel alone whilst dealing with their own diagnosis and experience.
Nothing is ever as bad as you think it will be, and that seems to be the case so far with my experience with Prostate Cancer.
Thank you for watching the video. Please comment and subscribe if you feel like it, and please share the videos with anyone you think may find them helpful
Woody ❤️

Hi woody,I’m going thru exactly the same as you,I have incurable metastatic prostate cancer,My PSA was off the scales at 4080 back in October last year they started me off straight away on firmagon injections monthly and since February they put me on 4 tablets a day Apalutamide.. I have totally changed my lifestyle I do free weights at the gym, go swimming and power walking at the baths 3 times a week ,Piliates once a week along with breathework exercises and cold water showers and sea swimming along with a fish and nuts diet keep off diary and meat my PSA is now 1.1 I’m very happy with that in a year. Some great information on the Prostate Cancer Research Institute KZread channel. One woman was on there talking about her husband lasting 13 years after been diagnosed with a PSA 7000 So my aim is to beat that with a positive mindset, All the best P

Yes, apalutamide did lower my psa from 900 to 1, it helped for almost 2 years. Then the rise of psa came again. Now I am on chemo.

Woody- so good to hear your positivity. A real inspiration. You’re on the same journey I’ve been on. Same outlook on life and nature’s blessings. I’m now having to go on Cabazitaxel chemotherapy for 10 more sessions having seen my PSA shoot up massively since finishing my 10 sessions of Docetaxel back in March this year. It’s a real battle and I urge you to stay positive and keep up the exercise. I wish there was a golden path to a cure but sadly there isn’t. Too much false and misleading information confronts us with so called specialists charging massive consultation fees whilst promoting conflicting advice, dietary and supplement recommendations. There is no recipe that fits all. We all have our own personal DNA, strengths and weaknesses. Stay strong. You are in my prayers.

I wish you success with cabazitaxel, Jonathan. In my case it stopped working after 8 cycles, so I am now on Lutetium psma therapy. After one injection my psa fell from 620 to 370. I think after cabazitaxel failure is Lutetium the last chance to partially stop cancer in bones. I was lucky to get it from health insurance as it is expemsive. My cancer I have for 16 years, and in last two years it is really tough. I get also degarelix antihormones and denosumab against osteoporosis. And many anti pain medicines.

My prostate exam 2 yrs ago never showed up any abnormalities, I still question why no PSA test was done to back it up.

In 2020 I had psa 900, almost 2 yrs drug apalutamide plus antihormonal helped to lower psa to 1. Then these drugs stopped working, i had to have 9 cycles of chemo by cabazitaxel. It helped for 8 months, now psa is back to 500. Now we try second chemo which is carboplatine, plus degarelix antihormonal, plus denosumab against osteoporosis. I have much fatigue of drugs, but keep positive as Woody says. Easy is it not, but we must fight on. And hope for better.
