@@nehankaranch2149 World class athletes just have good genetics. To be good at something like math, you need to put in dozens of hours every week into studying. People have biological limits that effect how much they're able to train for a particular athletic field. You can't just exercise for dozens of hours every week, even if you took the most extreme steroids. Your body would get destroyed.

@@maximilian200057 Yeah but in math genetics do matter tbh, for some people it's alot easier to study math (like me) but i suck at other things like english. Spending alot of time in graphs is definetly impressive but imo its not as impressive as a world class athelete, that's just my opinion though

He is a programmer as clearly mentioned many times. And he uses math alot to graph and create stuff so it comes by learning what he did was he changed the functions from code to math not exactly like he used the same ways he made the code in desmos. (I am a programmer too so I know that but nonetheless this thing is amazing)
this makes me want to do a math degree just so that i can begin to understand literally anything in this video

Hands down your most refined video to date. Keep up the fresh editing, continue going bonkers with the transitional sound effects, and please spread the good word for Beizure curves!
The editing and memes and stuff in this video is definitely stuff you would expect from someone who can do this
this is probably the most impressive thing i’ve ever seen in my life. i cant even begin to imagine the knowledge and understanding of complicated math you have to have in order to even tackle this, and you knocked it out of the park. absolutely stunning
this is amazing, the process that went into it and the outcome of it. good job, imo i think you deserve a spot in the top 3
Excellent video--- I love the editing and it was interesting to see how everything was made :)!
I saw your the finalized video on this and had to check out how it worked! I can’t say im too much closer to understanding how it all works because math is tricky, but I can better understand just how much work you put into this. This is amazing and I hope there are always people like you! Keep it up for as long as you enjoy it!

Wow! You've inspired me so much. I love what you are doing. Thank you!

The whole style of this video is so much like igblon, I love it
You’ve lost me both throughout the entire video, while also engaging me the entire time. I’m just fascinated.
4:40 "by far the most difficult part of it tho was just trying to find a function to approximate the boundries of the box that contains the triangle." Couldn't you just use |x|^(N)+|y|^(N)=(L)^2 where N is a really large number and L is half of the length of one of the sides of the square? or am I missing something? Either way, gg's on your animation, it's super impressive! Just wanna clarify that I am in no way trying to say that I am smarter than you or smthn in this comment. This video made me so happy to see, I had a project in a highschool math class where we had to animate something in desmos and I completely forgot about it 🤩
Hey you can actually do 2d arrays of points, I’ve been messing with it myself recently. The way you do it is [expression for variable1 = list, variable2 = list…] it actually is quite useful. Just remember the 10,000 element max still applies

john you are incredible
ah yes, my brain has crashed only 30 seconds into this
this is amazing
This gives me serious nostalgia for high school where a friend and I would compete to make silly little demos on our calculators while we were supposed to be paying attention in class. I'm really glad I found your channel; it's always interesting to watch and your sense of humor is fantastic! By the way, what's the cellular automata that appears in the animation after the Lissajous rainbow thingy? I dug around and it looks like a 12 state 1D automata, but I can't quite figure out the rule. Regardless, awesome stuff!
Based song choice
I am so illiterate with Desmos, it literally took me several hours and help from friends for me to figure out how to graph 3 linear functions on the same graph. I understood absolutely nothing in this video but im blown away nonetheless. Let this be a lesson to all of us that no matter how much math you think you know, there is always more math to be mathed.
certified supergenius
This is one of the most bad ass things I’ve ever seen 😂
so after careful consideration, i have decided to give up maths :D fr tho, this is actually insane! it's obvious that you worked hella hard on this
I like your words magic man
John really does do stuff
Kid: "um, teacher? When are we gonna use this in REAL life?" John:
This dude is basically a wizard. Hands down. This are the most impressive things I’ve seen done in desmos. Absolute madman, and I love it
i like your funny words magic man
I'm in high school. I've always considered myself to be pretty good at math. I no longer consider myself to know what math is. You're incredible.
An actual animation made using math. It's so cool seeing the language of our universe being utilized to output a beautiful image.
I wouldn't be surprised if this entire explanation video was made in a Desmos Graphing Calculator too.
Epic
you pull this off while i’m over here only able to do: x1=[1,0,-1] y1=[1,0,-1] z1=[0,0,0] f1=1 a=(f1*((x1+Xcam)/(z1+Zcam)),f*((y1+Ycam)/(z1+Zcam))) Makes a 3D object with a really simple 3D algorithm. or: p = random(k) k=0… a = p[k+theta] (i think theta is an iteration value, although i use p for that) Generates random lines to the screen, variable a being replaced with x or y, or a linear expression. But this is amazing. Keep up the great work.
When this man walks into his math class, the teacher sits down so John can teach the class.
