Something that helps me get over the fear of making a mistake when journaling is to write the entry on a separate piece of paper or ephemera and simply gluing, pasting, or clipping it onto the page!

That's a great idea!

Hello how are you doing?
Beautiful pages.. relaxing video and great topic. I see so many people saying "just write" but when you've taken time to make a meaningful space it can be overwhelming. I will try this idea as sometimes I'm stuck on what to write about and would like it to be authentic not contrived.
Cool beans, and thank you! 💚I write in no less than 3 places a day…my brain has been a talker since elementary when I’d always get ‘Needs to improve’ on the ‘Listens attentively’ portion of my report card🤭
Wait, we get to write in them? Not just add pockets? That's bonkers! :D Great video as always.

this was a great video, Bree! Thanks for sharing.
I do not like my writing at all. And I make so many mistakes. But I never thought about a line tool. Maybe it will help me relax a little so I can release all those negative thoughts I have about journaling. Worth a try! Thanks for the inspiration 😀

Yes, the frixion pen's are fantastic and come in different colours!..I personally love the brown shade, it gives my writing a vintage, sepia vibe.

Thank you for your video! I saw different ones from you and I like how you are doing them. May I ask you where you found this beautiful lamp on your desk? I just love it! Greetings from Claudia in germany.
I’ve never been able to ‘authentically journal’ very well but this is some incredibly helpful advice.

I’m glad you found this helpful, Rosey!
You make some of the most beautiful videos. Great calm voice and very inviting. You cover the subject well and answer a lot of the questions I’ve been thinking of. Thank you. Keep it up. New subscriber. 👍

Where did you buy your typewriter machine?
Your creativity is awesome....New here. Hello.
I normally do all my writing in another journal to express my feelings, insights and plans for the future. Initially, I used 'morning pages' style as discussed in Artist's way but nowadays I tend to write either 1 and half or 2 pages depending on how I feel. With junk journals the pages are heavily collaged there's little room to write unless I use journaling card, labels or tags. My earliest junk journals had little writing except for quotes. After watching some of your videos they gave me courage to write. I prefer to use fountain pens it makes the process feels special.

Thank you for sharing your process!
I'm the opposite - I can write at any given time about whatever, which is why my journal pages are often many pages long. What has not interested me is decorating my journal. It wasn't a "thing" when I was writing in my little diaries as a child in the 60's, then later as an adult. I did keep a scrap book, but it was sold *as* a scrapbook and was huge. I think it was the 80's when "formal scrap-booking" began - by that I mean products produced and sold specifically for scrapbooks which, more than not, were themed. People began purchasing a plethora of doo-dads. Jump ahead to the Bullet Journal as envisioned by Ryder Carroll as a way to corral paper flurry attacking our desks, purses, and pockets. Simple. Concise. I wonder who the first person was who thought, "Hmmmmm...I'm going to turn this dull Bullet Journal into a mini-scrapbook. A talk show host to whom I listen often says, "History doesn't repeat; it rhymes." This is not meant to put down anyone who loves decorating whatever you call your journal - bullet journal, junk journal, memory keeper, commonplace book, diary, etc. Just a different perspective from a writer as I so often see beautiful journals then hear the creator say, "I don't know what I'll write in it; I never know what to write." 😉
Could you tell me what the line stencil is where you can buy it? Thanks for this demo
Another lovely video Bree, I love how you focus on writing alongside the art side of things, as a lot of other creators are more heavily art focused - their creations are beautiful and inspiring but I love the way junk journalling can marry creative expression in both art and journalling. Also, I have to know, where is your beautiful lamp from?!

I wanted to know that, too! Thank you! A beautiful, quiet video!
Ironically, I am a writer yet I'm too self conscious to write in the journals I create.
Another great video. I always look forward to your videos as they are so informative and I also love listening to your voice. Just wondering what typewriter you have. I am really interested in purchasing one so I don't have to keep setting up my printer.
