I'm new to your channel, I want to give my sincere condolences on the loss of your late husband and your son. I'm no stranger to grief myself. My father passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago right when I found out I was expecting my first child. I have struggled with the grieving process and have been looking for ways to process my grief and I came across your planning videos and this would be the perfect outlet for me. Thank you for being so transparent and sharing with all of us.

I am curious if you would ever consider doing a mock spread for a mom with kids and working full-time. I love your style and approach and I am curious to see how you might functionally decorate a busier schedule.

you may be able to get you pen to work by dip in a small amount of alcohol it works for dried out sharpies.

I love watching your videos, "After the pen" you have been an inspiration to me. As for not doing a fall or thanksgiving spread this week... I say, for self therapy, do what makes you happy.. If you want to do an all hearts love kind of spread (just an example) before thanksgiving, just do it.. if whatever you are creating makes you smile, makes you feel good, then by all means.. just do it.

Have you tried rubbing alcohol to save the dried marker? I've saved some markers that way as well as dried out ink stamps. You can sppray the tip or dip it in some rubbing alcohol.

Love your after the pen videos. I've never had a vertical planner, but I've had good results with horizontal and hourly layouts, especially with trying to decorate where i can. I might try a horizontal at some point, but I'll have to upgrade from Mini to Classic.

Hi MaryEllen! Same thing happened to me with my favorite navy crayola marker. I accidentally left the lid off overnight and it was really dried out. Well, I just pulled it out recently and it’s working again! So don’t give up on your pink pen quite yet.

OMG! Your girls" names are Heather and Ally??? Mine too!!! and I literally had the thought this morning that I'm not really so that I need a "planner" and should try using my planner more as a memory keeper of sorts (have wanted to start scrapbooking so I could be killing too birds with one stone with scrapbooking and planning!) ... when you made that very comment about your planner kind of turns into a memory keeper I almost fell out of my chair!!!
