Love both of the spreads. Floral is my favorite. Was just. Talking to my daughter last weekend about Japanese table manners ie. Slurping is good manners sticking your 🥢 🥢 in your food and leaving them there is bad. Very very bad. She was stationed in Japan for four years. And loved it.

You’ll love Japan so much! I haven’t been to Tokyo but lived in Osaka for a year and went to Kyoto every weekend. It is so beautiful. We camped near Mt. Fuji in the summer and it would be a beautiful place to bring his ashes. Don’t go in March or April because the prices will be higher because of Sakura season. Hit up a ramen shop because Japanese ramen is amazing and sushi has wasabi already in it so be warned lol. Make sure you also visit Kyoto and Nara. They are a relatively short train ride away from Tokyo.

Japan is amazing. ❤ I love that you are doing this to honor your son, and I hope this trip fills you all with memories and peaceful thoughts of him. / Tokyo is beautiful, and the Japanese people are very kind. Read up on cultural tips (like being silent on public transit). We loved Ueno Park, Tokyo Tower, and doing a group tour of the temples and palace. The temples in particular were so peaceful and soothing. My girls were tiny when we went (3 and 5) but they still talk about Japan even though we’ve been lots of other places. Best wishes for your journey to be everything you hope.

I love how you make a theme for the month. Great idea to bring the month together but still allow you to use multiple sticker books.

I took a 13-hour flight from Dallas to Tokyo, and I recommend not to eat anything after hour 10. I got major air sickness and even threw up during landing (when you're not allowed to leave your seat!).

I’ve been to Japan specifically Yokohama where Mount Fuji. Japan was so amazing . I was terrified to go solo but did and had the time of my life. Also know almost everyone speaks English Tokyo and Yokohama has everything in English and Japanese. Recommend going to the Ramen Museum in Yokohama it’s a museum on the top floor but go down a floor and it’s a recreated Japanese old time town/village streets with little ramen restaurants and each little restaurant serves a different style ramen it’s hard to explain but it’s an experience worth having. Hope you and your family have the time of your lives.

Oh My Word....I did the exact same thing with all my tiny sticker books. Now I think.....what a waste of a good skinny notes....LOL I havent used them since I made them up (made 3) I put one on my desk....it actually has the box one in it as well. And I have made it a point to use them for each of my spreads. I do a vertical a horizontal and 6 daily sheets each week. I am determined to use them up

My time in Japan is one of the best memories I have. I looked through my photo albums and found a few ideas for you for Tokyo. Shibuya Crossing (like Times Square), Mt Fuji, teamLAB Planets, Kabuki show (like a melodrama of sorts) or a sumo wrestling show, Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Sky Tree or Tokyo Tower,, cat Cafe, Harajuku (anime community), tea ceremony, Imperial Palace, and of course a Japanese garden.

We lived in Japan for three years and we loved it. Enjoy every moment.

Love both layouts! Everything you do always looks great. The dashboard layout is appealing. My son said his first experience at Tokyo airport overwhelming, very busy, so many people moving quickly. He had a lot of trouble finding the exit until a beautiful Japanese family helped him. And he said not to take the train between 5pm and 7pm unless you want the sardine feeling and like the idea of someone pushing you onto the train. Btw the ring is very pretty. Gentle springtime is my #1

Two really cute spreads. I really like the idea of having a theme for the month, whether pika dots or animals etc, it brings some interest to the spread. PS: I love your idea about how you get your mind to shut off for sleep. I count down from 100 and if I mess up, I start over. It worked for quite awhile but not recently. Going to give your category and letter idea a try tonight. Thanks for sharing ❤

I do something similar, the stickers I use for my catch-all I also use for my other planners so each week has a cohesive look in all of my planners ( I have four planners) and sometimes if I have just a few leftover stickers from that theme I then use them all for a random currently page and just Loosely decorate... that way when the time comes to do that currently page it is somewhat already set up I just have to add the boxes and labels and whatnot... This way I don't have to think about 4 different themes for each of my planners

a sticker tip i have is to lay a sheet of wax paper over your spread and place the stickers on there to see your layout before placing them directly on the paper. that way you can save the hassle of potentially ripping the paper

They're both really cute, but Gentle Springtime s my favorite of the two. It's great you've been able to get some peace about your neighbor. I hope shes able to find a good support system. Sayfia Nygaard has done several vlogs about places she went in Japan that look really fun. And the channel Let's Ask Shogo Your Japanese Friend in Kyoto has a great channel about Japan and has a playlist about Manners and Rules in Japan. Plus he and his wife have a beautiful family

Love this video! I bought my first Happy Planner for this year (Classical - vertical). I love it, but I've been thinking about getting a dashboard because my brain likes the dashboard layout for work, so a big THANK YOU for this video! Both spreads are beautiful in their own respect. Originally I was going to pick Encouraging Squad as my favorite, but the more I looked at it, I think Gentle Springtime is my definite favorite. Both are beautiful though, and I enjoy your videos so much. I can see where my planner decorating is improving (and it's all thanks to you).

Thanks for filling us in on your noise situation. I was wondering why you hadn’t commented lately. What a sad thing for that woman to go through. Now that you have perspective it might be easier to deal with. Maybe you should switch apartments. 😘 Sounds (no pun) like with that situation she should always request a ground floor unit when she rents. It would help ease her mind. What a saint she is for raising those special needs children.

I always find you relatable, but missing half of the first spread and talking the entire time when it wasn't filming is THE MOST RELATABLE THING EVER. Somedays we drive the gremlins. Some days the gremlins drive us.

Where’s your engagement ring? You are no longer engaged?

Poor woman. Two special needs boys. There's literally nothing she can do to change their personalities or their need to release energy and stress in that loud way. Asking them to stop would cause a lot of problems for the boys and then add more on to her. I'm constantly asking my special needs son to keep it down 'because of the neighbours' but I know he can't help it and even needs to move his body a certain way otherwise he'll be full of more stress. It's stressful for everyone and I hate other people being inconvenienced but I try to minimise my son's stress first before the neighbours.
