The AAMC PREview exam is a critical component to medical school admissions. This is especially true for medical schools like UCLA Geffen, UC Davis, the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Mercer University, Saint Louis University (SLU), and others. A lot of applicants from California specifically write the AAMC PREview due to the sheer number of schools in California which require the test as part of the admissions process. Some other schools don't necessarily look at the PREview for admissions, but recommend taking it or use it for a research-only basis.
The test is similar to the CASPer but it is in a multiple choice format instead of a text field or video response format. There are 186 items or sub-questions in total across the 75 minute test which spans 30 scenarios.
A great score is considered 7-9 and a good score is 6. These are score that you should be aiming for if you are applying to a medical school which requires the AAMC PREview (aamc preview) as part of its admissions process.
This video takes you through 7 tips that took me a while to learn but ended up helping me greatly in my preparation for getting a top score.

Preview doesnt matter. Crazy saying "i got accepted to my dream schools BECAUSE i got a good score on preview". There are dozens of people on reddit posts alone saying they got 1/9 on preview and getting accepted to schools that REQUIRE preview.

Definitely agree with you. I misspoke- it’s been a year since I last filmed haha 😂. The process is definitely not as transparent so not clear always what’s going on with admissions. However, it’s always good to try and do your best on these assessments to the extent that they may influence admissions. Thanks for you input!

Surely there are many many qualified applicants who applied to the same schools as him. The preview is probably like a tie breaker between two equally qualified applicants
