How Hasbro Killed The Beyblade Franchise Destroying It (Rise And Fall Part 2) #HasbroDoBetter
It all ends here.
Video Background:
A year ago we did the rise and downfall video going over all the issues of Hasbro over the years. This video will focus on the issues with influencers in regards to their relationship to Hasbro and the current state of the brand along with Quad Drive. The video is split up into chapters going over responses to me and my character and covering the saga that unfolded in the year. The goal of the video here is pushing honest with the brand as I detest the fake care given to the brand. Influencers also have a responsibility to a certain extent speak out on the issue, whether they can't because contracted or they prefer to be on good terms in order to get the bread to support their life we need more voices out here. So this video is a mix of a community response and response towards Hasbro.
With the #DoBetterHasbro fight for no more bullsh*t from Hasbro and give your thoughts WITHOUT swearing or attacking those accounts. It is time fans push on those accounts of Hasbro that fans are not happy with the direction that they have taken.
Additional Points:
Q: But they only mentioned it gets easier so it could still be an issue?
A: While they did mention it gets easier I have already gone over multiple solutions in the past in my Dragon video that I mentioned going over ways to get around along with videos addressing it, the point there is that while it is a issue it is overblown to the extent where it is exaggerated with the title and no information corrected afterwards.
Q: Why did you mention influencers in a video about Hasbro Beyblade?
A: Influencer advertising is very relevant in our world today, they hold SOME responsibility for the choices that they make. It was also decided as a focus because you cannot have them say "oh wish it was different" when they have the platform to push their voice and make a difference.
Q: Do you dislike the creators that you mentioned in your video?
A: No, I respect anyone with a platform to share their voice and encourage it, my point is when you use your platform the messages you put it in the public eye can be looked at and addressed.
Q: Have you not also contributed to this problem of defending Hasbro over the years that lead to them being they are? How are you different from the people you talked about?
A: Yes I address this, the difference between me and other creators is that I made the choice to speak out and went full force and did everything possible to get my opinion out. I am partial at fault like anyone else but the severity of pointing fingers at who caused the issue leans towards more of Hasbro. This is why I say PARTIAL responsibility to influencers not completely.
Q: What does the fear of criticism have to do relating to Hasbro?
A: The reality many people in there have bad mouthed me for years and years on end. Some in the community do not like me for the reason I have spoken my truth on Hasbro. Their tactic of the nickname was covered up with "oh it was a joke" but the reality was they didn't want my name searched up so they tried to find and alternate nickname. Like I have said multiple times, part is on Hasbro but part is on the community, they are fearful of me because I have spoken out against Hasbro. They will pretend like they care now but the reality is they were speaking a different tune not so long ago.

The "attraction" for hasbro unboxings now isnt "how will it perform" like back on SS or stuff, but now is "how badly the screw up is in real life". Pro Series didnt really need to exist, if QS had metals and all no need to resell all over again. Slopes are a minor change its all they need. I agree with you

I would have liked pro more if it was called "Legacy" and gave us the original combos, like some of the TT beys are hard to get, like winning, cho-z and slash. Pro doesn't even give you all the parts so you can build the original Cho-Z or Slash.

Hello there Zankye, before I start let me explain my background: I'm no beyblader, I'm a father with a very "nerdy" background, RPG, videogames, airsoft, transformers, Gunpla and the list goes on. When my kids (6 and 4) asked for beyblades a couple months ago I did what I believe most parents wouldn't do, I "studied" about beyblade (thats was when I stumbled on your channel), the same way I studied about nerf... you get the point. I understand your point and criticism for Hasbro, you are right absolutely right about what you complain. They seem to be clearly aiming for profit over quality and it can be seen on Nerf too. They've recently reskinned a bunch of low tier strike products as Elite 2.0 (suposedly the more expensive and complete dart line) asking former elite prices for it and on the new Elite 2.0 products, they've replaced bolts for rivets and plastic ciment glue, which are cheaper to produce but turns the products impossible to mod (something important on nerf community). As a father of two small children who still need my assist to put the beyblades together after a burst, the simplification (or entire removal) of gimmicks on the Quaddrive line doesn't offend me that much, I don't know if the beyblade thing will last and the possibility of getting one on a supermarket is sure handy to easy their urge (here in Europe we have even less options than in NA). However, what offends me is the fact that Stone Nemesis bursts even if they launch it alone on the stadium, or the armor ring on Destruction Belfire that bent and is no longer capable of holding the blade together, or Gilded Balderov that bursts at first impact with whatever is in front of it. The products are bad. Gimmicks, weight, metal, no metal, oriented audiance, or whatever the topic, it is no excuse for a bad product and the Quaddrive beyblades are a bad product. I'm no Takara Tommy advocate, I used to be a TT customer for their Master Piece transformer line, but today they are ridicuously overpriced and bad when compared with 3rd party releases that are a third of the price and much better products. However, when it comes to beybades it's clear that Takara Tommy is the smarter choice when spending your money and I say this because even my kids, although they don't understand why, they get frustraded when playing with Hasbro beyblades, because it's just not fun the insta bursts and lack of reliability. Last week I've ordered 6 TT beyblades and 4 string DR custom launchers for them knowing that they WILL play with it a lot, because the game is fun and it's better than having then stuck on youtube/netflix for hours. Cheers!

I grew up with the Metal Fusion era of Beyblade as a little kid, and I was a bit internet savvy right before that became a big priority. Knew how to work a computer at like, 6 during kindergarten, so I'd always had an idea of what releases were ahead! They tried to pull the stunt before in the Metal Fury (3rd season) era, and yeah even as a kid I knew we were getting conned. Good on you dude for getting the real deal.

Honestly I feel so bad for many and I mean MANY of people around the world including the beytubers, the hasbro employees who got blacklisted, TT and even Blader Ken Because they had to deal with Hasbro's scummy, cheap and manipulated tactics with their beys just to make money, especially with Pro series a.k.a Hasbro's biggest insult because of the cheaper plastic, I just wish for them to do better or pay the consequences for their actions in the future.

  • @ryan25196

Hasbro started moving away from similarities with TT back when Metal Fury came out...Some beys like Cosmic Pegasus were completely dumbed down, with no gimmicks or different colours, but later they released a special "legends series" or sumn where they made the beys just like their TT counterparts. I also remember them changing the colours on the beys and selling them as spark fx beys or sumn with their own original gimmicks. However, they seemed to completely go in a different direction from TT when Shogun Steel came out. Beys were a couple grams lighter, their colours changed up( sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse), their stickers were missing. Fortunately they couldn't alter much of the beys themselves so it was fine i guess? Then burst came out and they kept getting lazy and put out horrible beys for an insane price tag.

I mean, in Shogun Steel's defense, most of the Beys that had a significant drop in weight were the booster ones that had a METAL stone face. Without the metal stone face, the weight for stuff like Shinobi Saramanda or Archer Gryph compared to their Hasbro counterparts aren't too far off from each other. Shogun Steel asides from that and missing a few metal wheels like Wyvang and Balro were for the most part fairly faithful to the original TT products.

I used to be a huge beyblade fan when I was younger but over time my interest in the series stopped until a few months ago when I started getting back into the series. Metal fight was the series I grew up with and where I live only fakes were sold so I didn't really know about Takara and Hasbro only that original beyblades were made in Japan. The moment I learnt about Hasbro was when I was on the wiki page for gladiator bahamdia/bahamoothe and noticed that one was significantly uglier than the other one. I got curious when I saw this and looked up "why Hasbro beyblades are bad" and what I found didn't relate to metal fight but instead that the burst beyblade ( which at that time I knew almost nothing about) were low quality and lacking gimmicks. After buying some beybattle Beys while on a trip I got into burst and wanted to get more so I went to this local toy store that sold imported toys to see if they sold beyblades, which they did but at a ludicrous price point and they were all Hasbro beys. I could order Takara beys online for way cheaper and I'm glad that I did considering how awful Hasbro beys have gotten. I feel bad for the countries where Hasbro beyblades are the only option and I seriously hope Hasbro can get their act together because I don't believe they can lose their license to make beyblades considering their relation with Takara which is unfortunate.

Mate you’re absolute spot on. Your values are completely in the right place in terms of transparency, honesty, and also your expectations of quality. Too many people make excuses for big companies like Hasbro and defend the poor quality which baffles me when money = time and the money you spend on products is literally time out of your life that you have traded in exchange for money. If the companies you’re then giving that money to are giving you rubbish products and/ or services in return, you are literally wasting your valuable time/ life because you’re wasting your money - money and time are the same thing. Not only that, but companies like Hasbro will completely rinse and exploit to maximise profits, and if they see their customers defending them, they will continue to rinse and exploit. The only way things change is when people stand up and say no, enough is enough. Not going to lie I’m reaching that point with TT too to be honest. But I definitely reached that point with Hasbro years ago. Keep doing what you’re doing man, your head and heart are completely in the right place and you’re absolutely smashing it 👊👏

I think it’s also interesting that (and you touched on this in the “cope” section) the things you are saying are literally in defence of the consumer, and yet generally speaking you will get a considerable amount of backlash from the people you’re trying to defend. This obviously extends out to general society, politics and business as a whole because people don’t want to hear the truth, but it’s so interesting how you get negative responses from the people you’re trying to defend. Obviously like you say, and you were absolutely spot on, is that because you’re saying the products aren’t up to scratch, people take it personally and get defensive because they know deep down it’s crap quality and they just spent their hard earned money on it so they don’t want to hear it. And I think that’s the really sad thing about it is that Beyblade means a lot to a lot of people across a fairly wide age demographic. I’m 29 and have loved Beyblade since I was a kid, I own multiple copies of pretty much every release since Superking started (as well as a decent plastic/ HMS generation collection), and I know that many others feel the same way. And the sad thing is that rather than respecting that and wanting to make those fans happy and allow them to continue to genuinely enjoy good quality products, they simply exploit the emotional attachment the fans have to the product. It’s understandable to a certain extent why people get upset at you for speaking the truth, it’s just a human reaction, but sadly that upset is targeted at the wrong person, it should be targeted at the manufacturer otherwise it’s pointless and things will never change

I'm honestly surprised that I managed to stay for the entire video, but I believe that you're onto something. If one part of the company is being cheap, how long until other parts of the company start going cheaper as well? I mean, Hasbro could've given entirely new gimmicks to their beys to make up for it but they just went with cheap carbon copies. You poured your heart and soul into this video and my respect for you grows. You're right. #HasbroDoBetter indeed. I wish you the best of luck if you decide to go through with this push.

the hasbro profit formula really shows more and more year after year... sacrifice metal + sacrifice gimmicks or cool moving parts + sacrifice use of multiple materials in drivers and layers + act like it's fun at all + extortion and marked up fake sale prices = "profit" and then TT as their beys get more complicated they sacrifice quantity instead of their quality

I just recently got back into beyblade again since childhood. Watched both parts of your video and one of thorough reddit post about hasbro vs TT. Gotta say glad I chose TT. It is really weird to me that the actual community for beyblade is fairly small in the US, and there is basically almost not much negative info or criticism against hasbro on the internet. You done an amazing job and great effort explaining everything in details. Glad you are speaking out, here's hoping other beytubers would do something rather than just farming views...

The prices for Hasbro Beyblades in Brazil are just unreal. The QuadDrive and SpeedStorm starter sets are being sold at around $33 usd, with pro series being over $50 usd. I'm buying Takara Tomy Beyblades for $20 to $30 usd, I have absolutely no reason to get Hasbro over them. I just feel like I'm being scammed when I watched the anime, I go check out the product and its missing 80% of its original painting, gimmicks and materials. But great video Zankye, I like how you speak out against what Hasbro does to the hobby we love so much.

I remember a year ago when I started buying and had Hasbro stuff that I thought Hasbro was -fine- the entire WBO community was like 'glad you're here and having fun but the TT stuff is so much better. I bought 1 TT bey (Big Bang Genesis) and the difference was like night and day. They shared a vague profile and colour scheme and that was pretty much it. (That said I still do kind of dig Hypersphere with its Bey Skatepark nonsense)

This nonsense of profit maximizing goes all the way back to the Plastic Era. Check it out: 4 Layer System: Some parts, like the Attack Ring of Dranzer Autochange Balancer, were reinforced due to breakage issues with the Takara. S Series - Largely unchanged, aside from the Jumping Base being converted into a full blade with the addition of a Weight Disk and a matching green Tiger Defenser (Driger S) Attack Ring. F Series - Also largely unchanged. A side note I'll make here is that some releases in Takara's Random Boosters either came out later (Gabriel) or Hasbro didn't do at all (Ark Pyramider, etc.). It's a key point that permeated the entire line. V Series - NOW comes the push toward doing their own thing. Aside from the "Phantom Force" reissues of the S Series (& 4 Layer's Metal Dragoon Bearing Stinger) and the "Metal Masters" & "Hyoerblades" reissues of the F Series, *ANYTHING* released in the Beyblade V-Force line had a Magne Core in it, when some things should've had a Metal Weight Core like Dragoon V. Speaking of Phantom Force reissues, Wolborg's Bearing shaft was now very delicate, one hard it could bend it just enough that the shaft & tip would be USELESS no matter the tip's condition; this wasn't a thing with the original Wolborg or Wolborg 2. Cyber Dragoon suffered from much weaker plastic, and both the Attack Ring and the wings around the loop on the Blade Base were noticably fragile... V2 Series - ...and then there were even altered parts. Vortex Ape initially had Driger V's Metal Semiflat tip before gettin' and proper Metal Sharp; ironic because early runs of Driger has Metal Sharp before being corrected to Metal Semiflat. Uriel 2, Gabriel, & Blizzard Orthros wouldn't drop until Hasbro's version of the Beyblade G Revolution line, and ohhh boy. G/GT/"G2" Series - The Engine Gear System gimmick of G Revolution. Engine Gears were forcibly applied to EVERYTHING, as a result, Metal Driger and Hasbro fans lost out on the coveted Heavy Metal Core, a necessity for certain non-EG combos. Hasbro fans missed out on Gigars' Full Auto Clutch Customize Gear and Metal Change Customize Engine Weight. Hasbro fans missed out on Zeus's Bearing Customize Gear and Light Sharp Customize Engine Weight (because Hasbro hates POM). Those two got regular Engine Gear (Customize Version) with...the regular Metal Semiflat CEW (Gigars) and a horrid Hasbro exclusive Ball Sharp CEW (Zeus)...which got carried over to the Hasbro Blizzard Orthros. Uriel 2, as Capricorn Strike G, kept the Attack Ring...but the rest was just a repaint of Flame & Thunder Pegasus - and Thunder Pegasus was already a repaint!! The G2 Series is a bunch of additional stuff with the number designation of G20_. (Ex.: I think that there was a metallic blue repaint of Dragoon G as G201, with a Hasbro exclusive Left Engine Gear (Customize Version) & Metal Semiflat CEW.) Hence the fanmade name "G2 Series". Gabriel (renamed White Gabriel G) & Venus both shared the EG & Blade Base of Dragoon G, Apollon (renamed Appolon G) & Killer Eagle (renamed Rapid Eagle G) shared the EG & BB of Dranzer G, and Poseidon (renamed Ocean Wrath G) & Death Gargoyle (renamed Dark Effigy G, hence Dark Effigy MS later on) shared the EG & BB of Driger G. Heavy Metal System - Some releases were skipped entirely (Dragoon MS Ultimate Version and everything after Phantom Fox MS), though some have been allegedly released in other Hasbro markets like the UK (ex.: Jiraiya MS is called Bearing Survivor). The Random Booster prizes that THE USA AND MAYBE CANADA got - Thunder Serpent (Thunder Dragon) & Sea Drake (Sea Dragon) - never got reissues with their alternative Customize Weight Disks, AND Sea Drake only has the regular 15g CWD metal part, not the coveted 17g version. Similarly, Hasbro's Draciel MS only has the regular 14g Circle Wide instead of the 15g version. The plastic on everything from A123 Strata Dragoon MS to A131 Dranzer MS is weaker than releases from A136 Hopper Attack MS and beyond. Dranzer MS's Manual Change core is horribly altered: widened for the sake of reinforcement. The Attack Mode (Flat tip) is way more aggressive - it's even wider than ZERO-G's/Shogun Steel's Giga Flat - but the Stamina Mode is useless with a smaller Sharp tip that wears out so fast that it makes Hasbro Pro Series teeth and Takara Single Layer teeth BLUSH. And as I said, in the US, Hasbro unceremoniously killed the HMS line after Phantom Fox MS (AND they'd skipped Advance Guardian, Advance Striker, & Advance Eterner, having only done Advance Averazer (renamed Advance Averager) followed by Thunder Serpent & Sea Drake before Phantom Fox. Oh!! NO HMS Customize Grip or other upgrade parts to go with the launchers, NO HMS String Launcher (it was crap anyway, and really only meant to accompany Round Shell MS & Magical Ape MS), and a Hasbro exclusive retooling of the already awful Duotron Launcher for HMS. 😒😒😒 Then came a second BBA Championship Series line, that was largely reissues of older stuff. Most of which had stripped gimmicks. For instance,Dragoon V no longer had a magnet in the tip...Dranzer V2 finally released but LOST its clutch gimmick, y'know, the thing that inspired the Tornado Change Running Core in HMS, the F:D & F:S 4D Bottoms in Metal Fight 4D, the Reboot/Reboot'/Ultimate Reboot/Ultimate Reboot' Drivers in Burst?? Yeah, that's gone. The springs were removed from Dranzer V2's Blade Base and the tip area was glued shut so it wouldn't break. The result is that when launched, it's literally in permanent Stamina Mode (or if the combo is heavy enough, it's in permanent Attack Mode)...Dragoon V2 lost the magnet in its tip and had the Magne WD replaced with a Ten Balance...Vortex Ape's Magne WD was replaced with a Ten Heavy WD...Dranzer F became Black Dranzer, but it was based on the "Metal Masters" reissue that had a VERY poorly working Flame Change gimmick (Flame Change Base: remember D:D 4D Bottom or Zeta/Zeta' Drivers? It's those.)...Dragoon S was a repaint of the modified "Phantom Force" reissue, with an unnecessarily reinforced Attack Ring that made it even worse than it already was...Driger S was likewise a repaint of the "Phantom Force" reissue, which had very poor fit on ANY Blade Base & Spin Gear you could think of (as far as right spin), so it was ultimately useless compared to the original and Jumping Base repaint. THEN came the brief hiatus before the switch to Metal Fusion/Masters/Fury/Shogun Steel.

Hi zankye i'm french and i don't call you ziggy BUT most importantly I think that you are one of the few that still make good quality beyblade content that has real critism and not just "oh it's ok it's hasbro, it's normal to do bad quality things, for them" and because i'm 16 i can only buy habro beys because i hate having to ask my parents to order a takara just for them to say "oh you are too old for this now " so yeah it's cool that you also talk about hasbro 👍 I hope that you will read this comment and if you do I thank you but if you don't it's normal, you have tons of comment on each videos so thank you for your content 😀

I've lost all faith in Hasbro ever doing anything even a quarter of being even halfway decent. Hasbro has fallen so far from grace that they could practically get buried so far down into the ground they end up on the other side of the planet, only to fall back down into the earth to pop up back to the side they fell through, only to yet again fall back into the earth and finally get what little smoldering remains that are left of them to finally get fully incinerated by the Earth's core. It doesn't matter what Hasbro ends up doing in the future; even if they somehow decide to finally actually give even a tenth of a care about actually making good products or their fanbase, the damage has been done. There's no coming back from the downright disgusting treatment of not only Beyblade, but literally everything else. And to the people that still continue to defend Hasbro even after all of the gutting of Beys and their gimmicks, the lack of effort, the dismal quality control, and the treatment of their fans: I hope you're satisfied with your garbage products made by a garbage company that does nothing but treat you like garbage all for a quick buck. There is no glory. Only disrespect. Only dishonor. Only disappointment. Only disgust. Only Hasbro.

I think the metal gear rising song " collective consciousness ", describes hasbro and those influencers pretty well :. The unenlightened masses They cannot make the judgment call Give up free will forever Their voices won't be heard at all Display obedience While never stepping out of line And blindly swear allegiance Let your country control your mind Live in ignorance And purchase your happiness When blood and sweat is the real cost Thinking ceases, the truth is lost Don't you worry You'll be told exactly what to do I give my people the lives they need The righteous will succeed The fires of greed will burn the weak So we'll make freedom obsolete Making whole the fabric of society Collective consciousness controlled as you will see MIND CONTROL Let your country control your soul Let your country control your soul Let your country control your soul Let your country control your soul.

Hasbro has REALLY fallen off lately. I dropped out of beyblade for an entire generation (sparking) due to the hasbro beys being literal hot garbage, I wanted to get into TT so bad but I could never find a good source until db, which is when I got back into it. It’s not only beyblade being affected by hasbro, as somebody who is into nerf, you can see the drop in quality now. And I have heard from people in magic the gathering that they have effected that, but I don’t have a say in that since I’m really into that. Overall, I no longer buy newer hasbro products. I buy (some) older nerf guns and literally only buy TT beys.

  • @fountgarde

Basically the bottom line is that Hasbro is still just making toys for kids, so they treat beys the same way that they treat all their other crap, when Beyblade is obviously very different, being competitive and having the necessity of being durable, because all these things do is hit each other, and hard. Despite all their shortcomings though, they’re still making money from casuals and people who just don’t have the means to buy TT on a frequent basis, or whatever. They’ll still keep making their cheap-ass, lazy knockoffs because somehow they are still making a sizable enough profit. What that means for us is that Hasbro is never going to change. If you’re a competitive blader or even a serious collector, avoid Hasbro like the plague. They’re a cheap toy company that makes cheap toys for kids and they’re never gonna change that because they’re just too big of a company to really take any of their fans complaints to heart. It’s a shame, but what are you gonna do. Even if they happen to luck out and make a competitive part here and there, I just ignore them, man. I don’t want to contribute to them making any kind of profit and feel like they can still keep making beys. Best case scenario is that Hasbro stops making money and some other company that actually cares buys the rights to manufacture Beyblade in the US and elsewhere instead.

I’ve recently been gathering the old metal fight beys. My nostalgia was definitely peeking but it got higher when I look at my hasbro beys. I question how they got worse especially when Switch Strike was basically a pretty good start. They were decently close to the original TT stuff. Hasbro Beys got worse and definitively now peaked when they made Switch Strike. I’ve only cared about two hasbro brands those being Transformers and Beyblade. Transformers has been good or bad depending on how it goes, definitely they’ve gotten lazier and the prices go up. I look at Quadrive and I was like this looks like it should be at like Dollar tree or Five Below(I actually like both stores and FB has been a god sent on when I actually need something).

I honestly I really like this video like hasbro was on the top notch in the metal fight saga and now for hasbro im startin to lose abit of faith for them like the detail and quality it’s really coming down bad and removing gimmicks like that’s bad like really bad I just hope hasbro can get there minds on track to fix all of the situation Edit:thanks for the heart and likes also I wanted to add something I feel like takara tomy made abit some mistakes like for metal drivers but finally the fixed the caps on it but for hasbros pro series I’ve done some test battles after they tryin combos teeth wear comes in for perfect phoenix it’s not “perfect” anymore honestly the whole advertising for the BEYBLADE from hasbro arent taking criticism as fans and the community of BEYBLADE and I’m not saying that im defending hasbro no this is just my opinion of hasbro in general but after watching the videos like the stadium were oddly impressive like almost taking it from the anime the disk I really didn’t mind but for QD it’s just like bruh what am I looking it at sure there are rarely some good parts but the whole details and gimmicks it’s just awful and not to mention the revolves hasbros choice of colors are just…why? But takara tomy makes some really good recolors I really like hasbro for alittle long time since the metal fight and by burst came the single dual and god (evolution) by turbo came by its like eh it’s fine but hypersphere it’s like a BEYBLADE skateboard and speed storm almost got the win like sure there are some parts in every gens are great for hasbro and now that I’m seeing of how hasbro doing to the beys it’s like garbage I honestly hope hasbro stops going inside out since turbo I’m just gonna stick to takara tomy until hasbro gets there stuff together and makes thing the right way thank you for reading the comment #hasbrodobetter

I fell out of Beyblade around the time I entered high school, which was when the Beyblade Burst line started, between then and when I got back into Beyblade about 2 years ago, I was somewhat aware of the burst line and the hasbro releases. It’s funny to think the one thing I was concerned about was the lack of teeth (no teeth = no compatibility with TT, something I liked about hasbro releases of the metal saga), and the cheaper feel of the beys compared to ones I grew up with. It’s befalls me why after the second season, hasbro threw out trying to be somewhat on par with their Japanese releases in favor of gimmicks not found on the original releases, removing gimmicks and just straight up being worser products (And this is coming from someone who hasn’t even owned a single TT Burst Beyblade). Like were they trying to create their own system of Beyblade separate from the Japanese version or something? If so then they completely failed not only the collectors or adult bladers but also kids as well. If hasbro was doing this when Metal Fusion began releasing back in 2010, I don’t think my 8 year old self would’ve ever gotten into Beyblade nor do I feel it would’ve gotten as big as it did. Im hoping that once the next generation of Beyblade comes after Burst that Takara Tomy will find another distributor and abandon hasbro all together. They’ve clearly dropped the ball when it comes to Beyblade and unless they get their together, they really don’t deserve to distribute Beyblade outside of Asia because the consumer deserves better

It's so funny to me to hear from everywhere from Hasbro that they're slipping down by selling everything expensively Coming from MTG, there's been so much wallet assauts of a marathon of products with "special editions" and such that it's baffling how much Hasbro wants to squeeze all the money out of everyone as cheaply as possible. Wizards of the Coast, the compagny creating MTG, has doubled their revenue in less than a year following being merged into Hasbro as a whole, but it's been quite clear that Hasbro has been pushing out all of the bullshit "special edition" and "secret lair" (special packs you order online that have 5 cards for 40$) to bait out "whale" AKA people that spend ludicrous sums But now they've been getting their ass kicked with the quarterly report, and the next product they're banking to sell is... A set of 4 packs of 15 cards for 1000$ that aren't even legal to play in competitive decks. That's right. Anyway at this point Hasbro being as predatory as Konami is a big L, really annoying that it impacts every game they make.

Honestly I was excited for when I saw evolution and switchstrike. Because I couldn’t get the TT stuff. So hasbro having similar enough and decently comparable beys to TT was great I enjoyed them. But when Speed Storm released/was revealed. I was severely disappointed. The lack of metal was like why do the series then. The drivers. Some were fine but I was just not impressed. When I started getting GT beys , and looking at how the Hypershere just killed the system. I was just done with them. I haven’t got a main series hasbro bey again. The only beys I’ve gotten from them were the good pro series like lord and command. Now I’m practically pure TT just cause I’m just done with hasbro. For years, it’s been disappointment after disappointment with consistent cheapening of the product.

I don't think the company will change Zankye. Like Beyblade, Nerf has been worse and honestly they are getting beat by a lot of other foam flinging companies. It's a matter of time when they figure out that Beyblade will no longer be relevant here in America. But In Japan it's still gonna be going on. It's a matter of time when Mega Blocks comes back with Battle strikers and to takes the thrown for spinning battling tops. ( I really want battle strikers to come back) I mean there is hope that Hasbro will eventually get their shit together but I'm not seeing it. If the next season is really bad then they might try to bring B damn. But they would screw that up too. If anything I have learned is if Bakugan can make a comeback then so can Beyblade. Hasbro just needs to rethink their strategy if they want to stay relevant as a toy company.

Late Stage Capitalism. The natural progression of Capitalism as it advances into Corporatism; Any corporation that is allowed to grow into a grossly large beast, like Hasbro, has the tendency to become greedy and ends up seeing everything as quarterly profit margins. This makes them make their decisions based on how well they can make more money than pleasing their loyal consumer base. On a side tangent, this is why they disappeared the Nerf Perks program when I had $200 worth of my points, and they said they gave me enough time to redeem it, but in truth, I received no such “warning” that it would end. Loyalty programs have a lot to do with being honest with your customers. Yanking the loyalty program sends a different message to us.

Part of me still wants to believe that they're making the beys as featureless and hollow as they are just to keep Single, Dual and God Layer beys relevant on their meta since even a Victory Valtryek can face against a Salvage Valtryek on a fight and be even... but after seeing all the proof and what's happening in the background, I just don't know what to think anymore. :( Just... disappointment and a slight headache. Even with Slingshock, Hasbro's beys looked nice. Even TT beys can suck competitively but look good (like Bushin Ashura). And even back when Hasbro did Beywheelz, they had effort put into looks. Now they can't even be bothered to paint the damn beys. The only redeeming quality Slingshock had is gone (that said, "it looks nice" being the only redeeming quality is already bad, but now it's even worse) Also, has anyone at Hasbro realized that TT doesn't sponsor influencers (at least in the West) and yet those same beytubers will make videos on the newest TT releases? Have they thought that maybe people bought Ultimate Valkyrie because it was a cool bey? Have they thought that maybe people like good products?

The beginning of Beyblade Burst. I love the single layers, the dual layers and the switchstrike Beys. When Turbo came along that’s when I stopped. I wasn’t a huge fan of the stadiums and beys. I noticed how that they got really lazy with their Turbo bey designs, like if you compare a Turbo Bey from Hasbro to Takara Tomy, you’ll see a more significant difference besides appearance.
