When I was young I used to "steal" the bottle from the medicine cabinet and/or finish them throughout the course of the night and blame it on my brother (which completely worked by the way). I would get sick from how many gummies I ate, so that's why I now steer clear from any and all gummy vitamins... I can't control myself around gummies :'(

This is what really made me like vitamins. We didn't have these fruit-flavored sugar vitamins when I was a kid. Back then, vitamins tasted bitter and I hated them. It was like, "Do I really have to take them, mom?" That said, the Flintstones chewables were fairly good at the time. But, these gummies taste so much better. I guess that's one thing I favor today compared to the "good old days".

Some people get an upset stomach taking the hard pill vitamins so "gummies" can be helpful for them. I was told to buy and take Flintstones w/Iron during my pregnancies and avoided the stomach upset. I still want to know where each vitamin/mineral comes from, how it is measured and how it gets in each gummy (or tablet). Vitamin supplements are not FDA approved so are we basically just trusting that what is advertised is true?

How do they check to make sure someone hasn’t accidentally put too much of a mineral in the batch ? I thought that it would be a computer weighing out each component much like other factories . It seems as if one could make each batch a bit different since it’s just a person scooping . I know I sometimes scoop super big or the way it should be sometimes when I cook . Do they check each batch for potency? To make sure someone didn’t accidentally throw two bags of iron in instead of zinc ?
