The legacy left behind from not only that particular incident, but that period of 10-15 years is something that cannot ever be underestimated. From having half your team wiped out in a tragic accident, to winning the European Cup 4-1 in the final, all in the space of 10 years is truly amazing, it shows the determination of the club to bounce back from such a horrific event. I can't say I've seen a great deal of Duncan Edwards, a few videos here and there, but if he was even half as good as some of the club legends say he was, then what a player he was! Same goes for Tommy Taylor - that goal record speaks for itself, a traditional centre forward who scored goals for fun - just to name a few players. But it wasn't just the United players that lost their lives... there were staff, the plane crew and journalists whose lives were taken in one of the most tragic ways imaginable. I remember seeing the images of it years back and, while obviously sad at seeing the aftermath of what had happened, I didn't know a great deal about the time and just how special the team was. This wasn't your run of the mill First Division team, this was a squad who could go on and become the greatest ever side in football history. Over the last few years I've learned even more about the incident and the team thanks to The United Stand. I'd like to think that, if the worst was to happen and a rival club had to go through something as horrific as that, we, as fans, and the club, would have the respect and humanity to put any rivalry behind us and wish them all the best in going forward, and helping whenever possible. However, with some of the stuff seen on social media, it doesn't seem as easy as that. Back in the day, while the teams were rivals, there was respect, as you said Mark, Real Madrid offered one of the greatest forwards in history, Alfredo di Stefano to United for a little while, as well as Livepool offering some players too - it's that kind of respect and humanity that football is all about, working class people coming together to watch the club they love. Great video from you Mark, doesn't matter if you've recently just heard about this incident and don't really know anything, or you're someone who was alive to hear about it at the time, it's a brilliant educational video on everything to do with the Busby Babes, a real must watch for any football fan, not just United.

Simply an immense tragedy not only to the club but the families of those directly involved as well. Hard to wrap around how good the Busby Babes were and could have been. Can only imagine the honors they could have won for club and country. We can and will never forget such a massive part of our history. The fan base we have is not simply because of all the success and titles , there are other clubs in world football who have won many titles ; but our history , what we have overcome , how we did things, the values and what our club represents sets us apart.

What I really like about this channel is this real human factor. You respect others opinions, listen to them, are yourself very human-like and show your affection not only for the club and this work, but also every fool can witness that you are a human body with feelings and emotions which can be either heated (like after a lost or bad game) or right now very emotional after a tragic lost. I've seen other channels constantly making fun of others, laughing at their opinions like they themselves are Gods and having very insufficient footballing knowledge. They all got unsubscribed cause I don't tolerate disrespect but happily follow this channel. Great work!

The state of Manchester United right now when you have Fellaini in the team and think back to the 58 side. What every supporter know is that all the United sides had great passing. It make me really sad to see our club keep the Moyes level player. For me United will always be the team that can pass as well as Barcelona and cross the ball as Beckham did and counter attack as Ronaldo.

    1) Unashamed to want to be number one at what they do;2) Cavalier attitude (offence is best form of defence);3) Has an air of romance around it;4) Faith & Trust in youth;5) Community orientated;6) Crimson coloured jersey;7) Historical pedigree;8) Era-defining individualsOff the top of my head, these are some of the reasons why I have supported Utd my entire-life. I'm not one of those fanatical fans who travels a million miles a season to watch them live, but just a "regular" fan I suppose who visits Old Trafford from time to time. And, coz I am not a "fanatic" that is why I feel I can say without outside judgement forthcoming, that when I say Utd is more than just a club I feel I mean it. If you had to ask why? Just take a glance at my above list for starters. The only British club that transcends every continent & language as a result.
